The Morani brothers organized the party at Mannat and they were told to cut Farah Khan and her husband Shirish Kunder from the guest list. All the guests were aware of the party week before but it was Farah and Shirish who remained uninvited.

When we checked with Farah, she confirmed, “I have no clue about the party. In any case, I am out of town shooting for Tees Maar Khan with Akshay Kumar.”

When enquired about Farah’s absence from the party, Morani brothers justified, “We are only just inviting people now.’ An insider adds, “Shahrukh doesn’t make the list, Gauri does. When he must have realised Farah’s name had been kept out, he must have ensured that she was invited, whether she could make it or not. SRK and she genuinely care about each other.”

Reports also flow that Ajay skipped the film because he does not share a good rapport with Shahrukh.

Whatever, it is Ajay’s choice, we can only say that Ajay should keep his personal guts apart and watch his wife’s one of the best performances.

If you don’t, get ready to be ostracized by pseudos masquerading as messiahs of parallel cinema, get ready to be labelled a nincompoop by netizens, get ready to face the constant bitching and loose talk by the ‘Balcony Class’ presswalas. Believe me, a few people are in awe of such cinema and feel they need to prove how cerebral they are by praising such films.

Now to the review! Either the film works or it doesn’t. It’s all about the story and how convincingly the storyteller narrates it. If the story is absorbing, you can’t take your eyes off screen. If it isn’t, you break into a yawn, you fidget with your cell phone, you start looking at all places, except the screen.

A lighthearted movie, ‘Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge’ conveys the problems of people being troubled by uninvited, irritating guests. It shows how the couple looks out for ways to drive the guest out. The comical talent of the three lead characters is sure to hit the box office with a bang. An out-an-out comedy, the film has some slice-of-life comic situations. Wait till March 5 for the movie to release & see whether the three acting geniuses can produce fireworks at the box office.

The police have detained the guards of her house. The robbers have broken the window glass and also one door. Inspector SN Shinde of Dindoshi police station said that Malini’s cousin brother Mohan Narsingh Raghvan filed a complaint on Sunday morning. “The police have detained three watchmen who were on duty and are questioning them in the case,” said another watchman.

“We have even detained Malini’s domestic servants and are hopeful of catching the culprit soon,” said Shinde, adding that a team has been sent to Nepal after receiving a tip. The police suspected two to three people involved in the robbery.

They are hopeful to arrest the robbers soon.

“It is a new and exciting offer. Usually the traditional method is to show films in theatres, so this is something innovative,” UFO Moviez India CEO Rajesh Mishra told IANS.

UFO Moviesz is a digital satellite cinema network that will facilitate the live showcase of matches in cinema halls.

Mishra revealed that many multiplexes warmed up to this initiative because not many big budget films are releasing during the period of the IPL.

“IPL has become a strong property. On top of that, no big budget film is releasing during this period. So, screening matches will be beneficial for the halls because no major film shows will be affected and they (theatres) will have something to fall back upon for sustenance,” he added.

Amit Awasthi, manager (programming and operations) of Spice Cinemas, told IANS: “We have eight screens and no big films are releasing during the IPL. So we thought it will be good to experiment and see the response by screening the matches.”

Industry sources say there will be benefits of watching cricket matches in cinema halls.

It will be a high definition live event, there will be uninterrupted advertisement-free viewing, 33 percent more image as well as the stadium atmosphere.

Around 800 screens around India, including close to 65 in Delhi and surrounding areas, are expected to screen the matches.

Multiplexes like Cinemax, INOX, Fame and PVR among others gearing up for this new offering.

As far as the ticket prices are concerned, halls have decided to keep them equivalent to movie ticket prices.

“We are not increasing the ticket prices. People would have to pay what they pay for films,” said Yogesh Raizada, corporate head (cinemas) of Wave Cinemas.

“We are planning corporate and marketing tie-ups to increase our profits. We won’t put any pressure on ticket prices,” he added.

“We will decide something between Rs.400-500 for the tickets,” said Rohan Doshi, in-charge of bulk bookings, Cinemax.

So are they expecting a good response?

“Its an experiment. We don’t know what to expect but I’m sure we won’t suffer losses even if we don’t make heavy profits,” said Awasthi.

Cricket fans are excited too.

“We now experience the feel of a stadium without being in the stadium. I am planning a bulk booking for all my friends so that we can watch the matches together,” said Shantanu Roy, a banker.
