Bollywood Celebs rejoice legalising homosexuality

Bollywood Gossip : Bollywood has always had a somewhat tense relationship with homosexuality, with very few mainstream films dealing with the subject, and homosexuals being shown in poor and comic light. But as far as members of the film industry are concerned, the legalising of homosexuality has got a thumbs-up from most of them.

Bollywood actors said that the decision of the Delhi High Court to legalise same-sex relationship will not just give legal cover to the homosexual community, but also help them lead a relatively trouble-free life.

Actor John Abraham, who is considered one of India’s hottest gay-icons, said, "I think it’s a step in the positive direction and I am personally quite happy that the High Court has finally given equal rights to everyone – whether he is a homosexual or a heterosexual."

The actor who came under some criticism from the gay community for playing a heterosexual man posing as a gay in Dostana added, "I think in a democratic country like India, where right to equality is a constitutional right, it was very important to give homosexuals their due. The government was also very empathetic to the fact that they should be treated equally."

Celina Jaitely who has been voicing her concern for the gay cause for quite some time terms the judgment as a historic one, even though, according to her, the battle has just begun.

"I think this is just the beginning. It’s historic, great and just remarkable. I am very happy with it. I think finally the gay community has achieved their freedom with this landmark judgment."

She added, "I know how homosexuals were exploited by the administration of this country. They were treated as outlaws. Now the first victory is achieved but this struggle has to go on. The important thing now is social acceptance. This community should now walk with their head held high and be proud of who they are."

Well-know fashion designer Wendill Rodricks said that it’s a landmark judgment but people should look at it more carefully and practically rather than with religious sentiments. He said, "I think we have been decriminalised and this is important for a country like India which is making progress in every sphere of life."

King Khan has a ‘Green’ day with his 2 new friends Chouw and Mouw

Bollywood News :Change can be good and is more often than not needed from time to time not just for the betterment but for progress; the latest corporate logo to undergo a change is Videocon. To kick off this change in a mega way, the Indian international brand traveled all the way to San Francisco to catch up with its brand ambassador – Superstar Shah Rukh Khan.

King Khan, who is currently in San Francisco, shooting for the film My Name is Khan was in for a pleasant surprise when two fans (of a different kind) Chouw & Mouw barged on the sets. Though meeting fans from across the world is nothing new for SRK, however these two fans were not just any fans. They were Chouw & Mouw- two green color, flubber like characters that had been roaming the streets of San Francisco for a while. In true gentleman style, King Khan exchanged pleasantries and shook hands with Chouw and Mouw much to the amusement of the crowd present. Some fans even wanted to click snaps with these two cute and cuddly characters who happen to be an integral part of Videocon’s new look and logo.

The two characters Chouw and Mouw just barged into SRK’s van and when they were stopped by the security, they started screaming for Shah Rukh. It was all quite a commotion till SRK stepped out of the van and surprised the entire unit by identifying them as his friends from India. That’s not all, Chouw & Mouw also got him a gift, which was confiscated by the security guys thinking it was some suspicious object. As soon as SRK opened the gift box, guess what he saw- ‘A switch’. And, SRK, obviously had to hit it. That was it. Something blew out of the box over Golden Gate Bridge and reached the sky! It was the green lava like brand new logo of Videocon!

Speaking on the occasion, Shah Rukh said, "I am delighted to receive such a wonderful gift from my friends Chouw and Mouw in the form of new Videocon logo. My best wishes to Chouw and Mouw! As an actor in popular cinema, I continuously improve and reinvent myself to stay totally connected with my audience. I am extremely delighted to be associated with Videocon, a thinking company that is taking this next step forward to underline and further strengthen its enviable relationship with a vast and continuously expanding fan following."

Chouw and Mouw spent a few days in San Francisco with SRK while the star took special care of the two and introduced them to the entire crew on the sets of the movie My name is Khan. In fact, Chouw and Mouw had free access to the entire set. The entire crew took an instant liking to the lovable and gregarious creatures and even let them help out in the various tasks on the sets of the movie. The grand finale was when they even got a chance to have a meal with King Khan himself.

Chouw & Mouw are the central characters of a new ad campaign of Videocon, depicting the positive dimension of change when they come together. They are shown in different situations transforming the lives of others. Chouw maybe the bigger giant looking character but at heart he is kind and empathetic. On the other hand Mouw maybe tiny and small but is clever and street smart. When they come together they create magic, bringing about change and delight in everyone’s life. Speaking on the innovative new campaign, SRK said, "I am confident, my best friends Chouw and Mouw will be loved by all and they are sure to capture millions of hearts and create smiles across the world."

Freida threatens Ash’s status

Bollywood Gossip : Stories of Freida Pinto’s popularity overtaking that of Bollywood’s reigning queen Aishwarya Rai Bachchan have been rampant ever since the release of multiple Oscar-winner Slumdog Millionaire.

After questions of who out of the two is more beautiful and more importantly, who is being paid more, now Freida seems to be replacing Ash in yet another way.

Reports say that after the attention given to Freida thanks to Slumdog and her recent international projects, she might be the Indian face on the red carpet of all major international film festival and award ceremonies.

Thus far, Aishwarya has been considered the most beautiful Indian woman and even the most beautiful woman in the world, and as a result, she is invited to festivals like the pretigious Cannes Film Festival, the Toronto Film Festival and others.

Now that Freida is working with the likes of Woody Allen, and is doing an Israeli film, she has joined the international film community in a more immediate way. This might ensure that she becomes a household name when it comes to the Indian quotient that festival organisers scramble for nowadays.

If rumourville reports are to be believed, Aishwarya managed to keep Sonam Kapoor off the Cannes red carpet, but how will she deal with Freida?

Salman not invited to Katrina’s birthday

Bollywood Gossip : Bollywood Actors Katrina Kaif and Salman Khan managed to assure the world that they are still together after Katrina appeared on the latest episode of Dus Ka Dum and Salman sang and danced for her.

While on the one hand, it seems things are going well for the couple, Katrina Kaif recently decided that she will spend her 25th birthday without her beau.

Afterall, it isn’t just Kat’s 25th anniversary, but also the first anniversary of the Salman-SRK fight that had taken place during Katrina’s birthday celebrations.

Some might remember that an inebriated Salman Khan had asked SRK to come on his show Dus Ka Dum, and SRK had refused, leading to a heated exchange of words and reportedly also some violence.

It was Katrina and SRK’s wife Gauri who had to intervene. Pictures of a crying Katrina were all over the media.

As a result, this year, Katrina is looking for some peace and quiet. She was quoted saying she is really looking forward to going home – London – to be with her family.

She said it will be the first time in nine years that her entire family, that is, her parents and their eight children will be together.

Katrina Kaif says she has been working extra hard to be able to make time for this vacation, or as she call it, this necessity.

DNA test confirms rape charges in Shiney Ahuja case

Bollywood News : The DNA report of Bollywood actor Shiney Ahuja, arrested for alleged rape of his domestic maid, on Monday has confirmed that the victim had been raped, police said.

"The DNA report has confirmed rape of the victim," said Additional Police Commissioner Amitabh Gupta.

"The report has corroborated the allegations in the FIR that the actor had raped his domestic help," Gupta added.

The blood and urine samples also suggested that the actor was not under the influence of alcohol or drugs when he allegedly committed the crime.

The actor is lodged in Arthur Road jail after a court remanded him to judicial custody for raping the 20-year-old maid at his residence on June 14. He was arrested the next day.

The medical examination of the victim, who hails from Roha in Raigad district, had shown injuries on her private parts.

The medical report of Bollywood Actor Shiney Ahuja had also shown an abrasion on his hand. The victim is just 38 kg while Ahuja is 76 kg. Since Ahuja is double the weight of the victim, he might have easily overpowered and raped her, a police official said.

Also, nail samples of the victim have been sent for forensic tests to gather corroborative evidence in the case, police said adding that the report is still awaited.

Bollywood Gossip : A little birdie tipped us on the ever fresh and sexy Bollywood Actress Riya Sen’s new role in debutant director Yunus Sajawal’s film ‘Benoo and Babloo’ – Riya Sen becomes a stylist – not for reel, but for real!

The actress is currently in Pune shooting with co-stars KK Menon and Rajpal Yadav and had to rush to Mumbai amidst her tight shooting schedule. Wonder why? Apparently, there was some problem with Riya’s costumes in the film and the lady immediately took it upon herself to design the entire look for her character.

Now considering the limited time in hand and the packed shooting schedule in Pune, it sure seemed a challenging task. But the toughie that she is, Riya Sen managed it all with admirable ease and a smile on her face!

The outcome – the cast and crew of ‘Benoo and Babloo’ were not only impressed with Riya Sen’s designing, but were amazed by her professionalism and can’t stop talking about the way she carried it all out! Well, what can we say; Riya always manages to take us by surprise!

Katrina is already our family member says Sohail

Bollywood Gossip : It’s official, Bollywood Actors Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif are dating each other confirms Sallu’s brother, Sohail Khan. “They have been seeing each other for long now and I wish they stay happily together,” said the actor- producer who was in Delhi to promote his upcoming film Kisaan.

When asked when Salman and Katrina plan to tie the knot, Sohail simply said, “Katrina Kaif is already a family member but they are mature individuals to decide when to take the final call.” While Katrina is hoping to fly off to London to be with her family on her birthday, Sohail says the family might plan something special for her. “Lets see it’s a little to early but we will surely throw a party and have a nice family get together.”

The Khans and controversies “go hand in hand by the grace of media,” laughs Sohail. He dismisses rumours about Veer being in trouble as “sheer jealousy,”.

Responding to questions about problems between Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif he says “gossip never affects their relationship.” About Claudia Ciesla, Sohail says he’s not sure where the rumours about her and Salman Khan started but praised her efforts to get into the industry.

“She is handling her work professionally and is meeting big names in Bollywood. She is pretty looking girl don’t know about her talent yet but I think she should do well as Bollywood is going global,” added Khan.

About Kisaan he said, “It is a sincere effort at addresing serious issues, unlike fun loving films like Singh Is Kinng. We have tried to be as close to reality as we can.”

In the next coming flick New York, John Abraham has a bedroom scene with Sallu’s lady love Katrina Kaif and Salman is furious see the promos.

In the scene, the two are shown getting quite intimate with each other. At the same time, the music video of the song is already on the net and has become quite a sensation among Bollywood buffs.

While her beau may not exactly be friends with John Abraham, Katrina seems pretty comfortable in cozying up to the hunk. And Sallu is not taking all these matter smoothly, sources claim.

Eros plans one of largest ever release for KAMBAKKHT ISHQ
