Vidya Balan who bagged almost all prestigious awards this year for her commendable performance in the film “The Dirty Picture” has been added a new feather to her cap. The actress has awarded the “National Award” for the best actress at the 59th National Awards on Wednesday for her sexy portrayal of Silk Smitha act in The Dirty Picture directed by Milan Luthria which got a fantastic review from both the viewers and critics.Vidya is so happy and proud that she describes the honour unbelievable and thanked Milan Luthria for Offering her this film. The film produced by Ekta kapoor based on the biopic of southern actress Silk Smitha rocked the box office and garnered a huge collections and swept away many awards too. It has opened up many opportunities for the female actors in b-town said Vidya.

SUJOY GHOSH "KAHAANI" IS BASED ON THE WRITER LIFE

“Kahaani” a film by Sujoy Ghosh starring Vidya Balan is already in the news for quite sometimes and is releasing on 9th march. Film has already created such a craze among people that makers are hopeful of a film to do well at the box office, since this is Vidya”s first film after a superb success of “The Dirty Picture” an eagerness quotient is high among people. But the story of the suspense thriller “Kahaani” is said to be inspired by novelist Advaita Kala”s experience of a brief stay in Kolkata.Advaita who has written the story of “kahaani” told that despite having faced a language barrier, poverty and chaos of the city, she has been amazed by the love and affection of the people of Kolkata which has been reflected in the film. In “kahaani” Vidya plays a seven-month pregnant woman who lands in Kolkata in search of her missing husband. Similarly Advaita too had come in Kolkata from the US for a job at the hotel Oberoi Grand in Kolkata. She was retracing the path of her boyfriend then who worked at the same hotel a year before. She had so many memorable moments from those days she spent in Kolkata like visiting a bookstores where her then boyfriend used to visit , walking on the streets where he would go and so on. Advaita who is also an Author of the best selling book “Almost Single” considers city to be very powerful along with the politics, culture, workers union there is a certain beauty in Kolkata.
Advainta always wanted Vidya to be in the lead of the film and has even described Vidya the hero of the film and has written the script keeping in mind Vidya Balan.
The author said that one can find a personal life almost in every work of her. “Kahaani” will also be published in a novel while writing the script of the film Advaita realized that it can be published in a novel too. A book will soon be out in the market after the release of the film.

SALMAN BID BYE TO BIG BOSS

It is very disappointing news for Salman Khan’ fans that Salman is no longer going to host season 6 of Bigg Boss. The reason for his declination to host the next season is his commitments and hectic schedule of films he is working on.
The actor hosted last season together with his friend Sanjay Dutt and together they charmed the viewers with their sense of humour and charisma. According to the source, Salman is very happy with Sanjay’s hosting and he wants him to continue with it.Even when Salman was not around with Sanjay in the last season it did not show a significant decline in the TRPs. Though there is a possibility of Sanjay’s taking over the hosting from Salman for the next season but Sanjay’s schedules are busy too. Now the channel needs to take the decision whether Sanjay will take over the hosting completely in the next season considering the actors schedule.

SONAM TO STAR WITH DHANUSH

Sonam Kapoor has been roped in by Anand L Rai of “Tanu Weds Manu” to star in the film “Raanjhana” opposite “Kolaveri Di” sensation Dhanush. This will also mark a bollywood debut for Dhanush. The film will be a bilingual, as per source Sonam was quite keen to work in south Indian films and so was her father Anil Kapoor. Anil Kapoor who gets along very well with makers like Mani Ratnam and D Ramanaidu is equally eager for Sonam to start her innings down south.Sonam whose bollywood career is not as satisfying is definitely looking forward to deliver a hits.Since Sonam is right now commited with two bollywood projects hence she could not sign project straight away. But she is working hard on her dates to start “Raanjhana”.
“Raanjhana” is a romantic flick where Dhanush is a happy go lucky boy, whose life takes a turnaround after coming across a pretty girl. Director of the film Anand L Rai feels Sonam fits the bill totally and is the right choice, she can only do justice to the character.
Coming back to Dhanush, he is working on his Hindi to get a perfect ascent. Actor whose “Kolaveri Di” song became a huge hit has his much awaited film “3” to be realesed soon. So here is wishing a very good luck to both the actors on their new journey.
