      <title>South Florida Book Festival</title>
      <description>African-American writers and one world-renowned basketball player will take part in the South Florida Book Festival which will be hosted by the African-American Research Library and Cultural Center. Sponsored by the Urban League of Broward County and the Friends of the African-American Research Library and Cultural Center, this event. Friday’s events include mystery writer Angela Henry which will conduct a workshop on how to write mystery stories from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. A $10 fee for her event and only 20 seats available. Then on Friday from 6 to 9 p.m., there will be an opportunity to meet featured authors in a social setting at the Urban League of Broward County—adjacent to the library, complete with hors d'oeuvres and wine—compliments of Whole Foods, and live jazz. Admission will be charged for this event. Family day is June 27. Pearl Monroe—a legendary basketball player with the Baltimore Bullets and the New York Nicks—will talk about his book, Earl the Pearl My Story. The morning session of the book festival will feature Christian fiction authors ReShonda Tate Billingsley, S. James Guitard and Victoria Christopher Murray. The theme of their talk is: “Scandalous: Meet the Villains, Heroes and Heroines of Contemporary African-American Fiction.” Saturday afternoon of the festival will feature Urban Fiction authors Wahida Clark and Mary Morrison. Their theme is “Make Your Book Your Business." Also on Saturday, there will be a presentation by Jamaican author, editor and publisher Suzette Farquharson-Morgan, president of FarMor Group, Inc.</description>
