		<description><![CDATA[Imified是很好玩的一个IM聊天机器人托管服务。但很可惜，5月1日将停止服务因为“这个模式不能盈利（Cannot be done profitably）”。 中西方市场规模问题 对于看似那么好玩的Imified的停运，我的第一个反应是——也许中国以外的任何web app开发者都面临一个问题：用户基数规模。一个海外天使投资朋友曾和我说：西方的软件创业团队普遍面临在中国也许不会出现的问题：服务的细分市场规模不足以支持企业发展。 中国的软件创业团队当然普遍享受因为中国网民和用户技术超大而带来的好处：在中国大陆，任何细分的软件应用都有可能找到足以支持企业生存的用户基数。 对于这个看法是否成立，目前我自己的创业团队都在用市场实践探索着，答案也许会很快揭晓。 中国物联网应用的机会 IM机器人托管模式本身也许不能获得足够用户的支持并当作一个生意来做，但是IM聊天机器人作为一种应用模式，有不少实际价值： 1. 人机对话最直接、最简单的方式； 2. 后台通过XMPP对接大量移动应用/设备； 3. XMPP作为一种通讯协议的可扩展性。 物联网的应用在中国大陆是个火热的投资领域，我期待IM机器人模式在各种物联网产品中不断出现。我目前能涉足的领域就有不少用途： 作为最简单的人机交互接口； 作为机器人玩具和教育产品的一个基本设计模式，使得机器人玩具可以对接各种外部云服务，实现“人——机器——人”之间的沟通代理。 用中国市场鼓励海外同行 我回复了一个鼓励邮件给Imified团队，希望保持联系。说不准将来大家有一起搞中国市场的机会啊！ &#160;]]></description>
