Why is the idea of a small town romance set on a lavender farm the most appealing thing I have heard of in a while? Admittedly, I love Lauren Blakely titles, small town romance stories, and am a fan of lavender, so I am sure those things helped.

Ripley and Banks also helped with my enjoyment of the story, as I loved both of them and really did want to see them grow as a couple. I liked the secondary characters, and I am looking forward to getting to know them better.

I enjoy books with a lot of drama, but I also enjoy titles like this one, with people you like and want to get to know, and feel that you do get to know as you are along for a little bit of their story. The connection between Ripley and Banks felt real, as did their reasons for both wanting to keep things professional and for being unable to do so. The push and pull between them before they decided to be together was perfection.

I can't lie, I love a twisty and dark romance, so I knew I was going to love Brae and Dex's story before I even started reading. Especially as I am also a fan of this author in general.

What I didn't know is how engaged and invested I was going to be, or how the ending was going to feel like one surprise after another. Just when I thought all of the things had happened, there was still more.

Add this in with the story about two people who really deserve to find happiness, and the people around them who were not only secondary characters but also people you come to feel an attachment to, and you have a story that tells not only a romance, but a missing person's story while also being the start of a new series and laying the groundwork for that, without losing the focus on the main characters.

This one absolutely leaves you wanting the next in the series.

I can't lie, the idea of the heroine being a "snail doctor" was not my favorite job for a heroine, but it's definitely a different experience. And I love the representation of women in STEM and how being smart is ok for a woman.

Franky and Jason know one another and when Jason learns that Franky wants a baby, he is all in. And, I loved the twist that while he was good with being her baby daddy, he also wanted to be a father. He just didn't necessarily think that it was going to work out that he was also going to be involved with Franky.

I also loved how much he thought that she could never be interested in him as more than a donor. I loved how their relationship was sweet at times and how you got to fall in love with him as she did, and as she did with him.

I always enjoy this author's stories and this was another one to add to the list of books I am glad I read.

I enjoy enemies to lovers stories and Dean and Poppy's was fun. I related to both of them; his desire to help out his brother with absolutely no desire to have wedding guests traipsing all over his lawn. And her desire to prove that she is able to make a success by being focused and working hard.

I am not sure I totally believe a wedding planner could handle a wedding of this size all on her own, but I was willing enough to believe it that it worked for me and the story. And, as it was the basis of their story, and all of their arguments and banter, it worked even if it might have been a bit of a stretch to plausibility.

The story ARC was strong on the way to them being together, but I do think there was too much at the end of the story. I am not sure we needed all of the endings to know how this story was going to end. Was it enough to ruin the story? No. I just am not certain it was needed.

The scene stealing star of the show was the goat, or was it two goats? (It's a long story.)

Why are heroes who own nightclubs so hot? I am sure it's not just me as there are tons of titles with this setup, but I enjoy it and I was all in on this story. I enjoy this author, I like the trope, and well, I always enjoy titles in this series (or spinoff series).

Rainey and Lucas are perfect for one another, even though it takes a bit for them to decide they are more than just a fling no one can know about as he is also her brother's best friend. I did think the sabotage of the event angle was a little unnecessary, as I thought there was enough to the story without adding in the drama of something going wrong with the event, but it wasn't a big enough subplot to totally derail their story.

I was behind them as a couple, and I liked both of them as people, so it was easy to invest in this story.

This book was a little quirky and a lot of fun. I am not sure what I was expecting from Daniela and Theo, but I couldn't put it down and I was invested from the beginning and really wasn't sure how this was ever going to work out for them.

I am not always the biggest fan of the miscommunication trope, but this one really works as the reason they don't talk about all of the things going on is that they are running from kidnappers, and treasure seekers, and odd cults that no one even knows still exist, and pretty much everything else, so they were a little busy.

Once they figure things out and allow themselves to focus on one another, the way the author develops them as a couple is well done and balanced nicely with the suspense and adventure plot. And, I loved the ending. It was very them and perfect.

I enjoyed and recommend this title.

I think it's that the two seem so different, but when it's done well, as in this case for Corbin and Mabel, I think it's that it makes them feel like people and not characters.

Add in the quirky humor and the banter that is a lot of fun, and this book is a recipe for a fun, steamy, sexy, and enjoyable read.

This book was fun because it really was a simple, boy meets girl, slow burn. Cole and Andi see each other because their jobs put them into the same place, much to Andi's chagrin.

She's been through a lot in her life, and she uses that as an excuse to push people away because it's easier than risking being hurt. Cole sees this and decides she's worth the risk. Their story is a slow burn, in that it takes time for them to be together, but also in that they take the time to get to know each other before they allow themselves to act on the attraction.

The secondary characters add to this in a great way, with a bit of a parallel to what Cole and Andi are experiencing.

I enjoyed and recommend this title.

Sophy and Luke are supposed to be enemies due to a long standing fund between their families that no one (aside from his grandmother) even takes seriously any longer. But it adds some mostly good natured one liners between them that are amusing.

I love the humor and snark evident in books by this author. They always amuse me while adding to the personalities of the characters.

This title can be read as a standalone as far as the characters, but as the paranormal elements have been part of hey books for quite a while, it's taken for granted that readers have some understanding. That said, what is going on is explained well enough that it should be accessible for all readers even if this is your first book by this author.

Walker and Alivia meet when he is questioning everything, when he has stopped feeling like he is in the right place, and like he is getting buried in all of the responsibility. There was something relatable to him for me, and I think for a lot of people, the idea that what you want needs to keep evolving.

Alivia is the evolution of it, and she is also who shows him the way to getting back what she wanted.

They are perfect for one another, and their connection is strong from the beginning, but there is also a depth to this title that makes them both appealing as people, together and apart.

There was a lot going on in this one, but I enjoyed it. Liam and Morgan meet in a club and have an instant connection, one that scares him enough that he leaves her alone in the morning. As romance novels (and sometimes life) go, he then is the investor at her family's company.

She is upset he is there, and even more upset to be working with him and having to have anything to do with him. The rest of the book evolves around this relationship and following them as they work out things between them, with a little bit of additional drama (that I saw coming from a hint that was given) to test them along the way.

They have fantastic chemistry, so their relationship and the evolution of it makes sense and you believe that this attraction would keep them from being able to ignore one another.

Ford and Skylar are perfect for each other, eventually. First, they have to get past their initial meeting. And the color yellow. And beliefs that having a life will keep you from achieving your dreams. The last one is the hardest of all to get past for him and I related to him and wanting to make sure he is fully focused on the things he thinks he wants, ruling out the things he can't have.

As is always the case with this author, the characters in this story were wonderful and as you are reading you forget that you are reading a story about people you don't know as they start to feel like friends. You want things to work out, and you want to see them get all of their dreams.

I enjoyed and recommend this title.

I feel like I say this all the time, but holiday books aren't always my favorites. That said, I really enjoyed this one. I always enjoy this author's titles, but there was something about this one, and I really connected with the characters even more than I usually do with her titles.

Sylvie and Thomas probably shouldn't be perfect for one another, but they are. It just takes them a little longer to figure it out than the people around them, who all know they are perfect together.

I think I love how fully in support of her he was from the beginning, how he sees the issues she is dealing with and takes her side.

There's a pig (don't ask, Sylvie didn't) some family drama, and a wonderful slow burn romance that makes this one perfect for a Christmas read (or any time of the year).

The development of the relationship between Clare and Mitchell developed in a way that worked and was enhanced by the holiday setting.

I like fake dating stories, even though we all know how it is going to resolve, and of course this one does as well, but I love the situations fake dating puts characters into positions they really shouldn't be in and I enjoy it. Add in that I really enjoy this author and this is one of my favorite holiday books.

I enjoy books where one of the characters is against love, or feels like there are more important things, but through the book not realizes that they were wrong, but that there is more than one way to look at love, and life, and what is important.

I loved Scarlett and Chase. I loved their initial meeting, I loved that they got to know one another and it was through getting to know one another that both of them felt like there was something between them worth pursuing.

There was some drama, but it was balanced well and I was engaged throughout the story.

If Laura Griffin writes it, I am reading it. I don’t need the blurb, or a title, or any idea what it’s about, and I am reading it. And read it I did, as I devoured this and finished it in less than 2 days.

If it wasn’t already obvious, I enjoy her writing, the way she tells a story, and I am fully invested in the story by about the second sentence of one of her books. This one was no exception. I wanted to know what was going on and how it was going to evolve pretty much immediately.

This title felt current, but in a way that it takes things that are being talked about in the world, and makes them matter in a way that isn’t abstract, but human and real, like it was a story about the consequences of forgetting that others matter.

The romance in this title was less of a focus than in other books, but at the same time there was an element of it, but it took more of a backseat to the story. And in this one, it worked. This book had a lot to say and it says it well.

And, somehow, in the midst of all of this, I still managed to be somewhat surprised by the ending.

I enjoyed and recommend this title.

I really enjoyed Chase and Zoe. I liked getting to know them and while I am not always a fan of a book that relies on flashbacks, this one worked for me as the story was less one of a second chance and more a story of people who just took a long break in a relationship, even if they both didn't fully know this.

I love the little ways they tell one another that they haven't forgotten one another and that the events from 10 years ago still mattered. Adding in the ways they interact now, and the way they both team up with each other and rake each other's side just made this fun.

I also liked that this was a slow burn in the present, but not one in the past as you only get the high points of the past relationship and you really see the relationship built in the present. I know that doesn't make a lot of sense, but it is what it is, just read the book.

I enjoyed and recommend this title.

This book was one of those that I was enjoying but not loving at the start, but once we got farther into Jude and Angelica's story, I liked it more than I did at the beginning.

Jude is definitely a grump and I was not sure what I thought of him. I didn't dislike him, but he wasn't my favorite of heroes. He was gruff, and I get it, but it took a while for me to start to appreciate the "cracks" in his character. But, once we finally really started to see them, and she did too, the story became a lot more appealing to me, as I think Jude started to like himself more and that came through for me in the story and the characters.

I did believe in their connection and I did enjoy the way the fake relationship of the story evolved. It felt real and authentic.

I enjoyed and recommend this title.

This was a slow burn, and I admit I enjoy a good slow burn, so I was all in with Nalia and Logan's story.

I did enjoy it. I believed in their connection, and I liked how all in he was from the beginning, but that he realized that he would need time, and for him to be willing to take his time with her. And, I love that others around them noticed that he was different with her than he was with others.

All of those pieces of the story really made me believe that they were perfect for one another and they were both invested in the relationship.

This said, while I understand the kids and them being single parents was part of the story, and they were secondary characters, at times I felt that the subplot with the kids and the ex took over the story a bit. And, in a weird way, I was also annoyed that those stories seemed unfinished at the end, or at least like they were only resolved for now. I guess what I am saying is if you are going to develop a subplot that seems to become a major part of the story, follow through with it to the end.

While this part did feel a little unsettled, it wasn't enough to make me feel like I didn't enjoy the story, or that I wasn't able to connect with the main characters, so overall this title did work for me.

Plot twist: Isla and Rowan are perfection together. He hates Christmas for good reasons, and she loves it. What she doesn't love is finding him a perfect match who isn't her.

This is definitely a slow burn, and there was a lot of time spent with the supporting characters, but not enough that I was pulled from the story.

I honestly don't even know if it was the characters, although I really liked Ford, or the plot, or...I just don't know, but I enjoyed it a lot.

Ford and Violet have chemistry. I loved their first conversation at the club, and all of their interactions were just engaging and kept me engaged in their story. I think I also really was engaged in how much Ford really wanted more, even though he knew it wasn't what Violet likely wanted. I found myself really wanting Ford to get what he wanted.

I enjoyed and recommend this title.
