Hello everyone and welcome to the Blog Tour for Perception.The blog tour is hosted by Books Complete Me. Today I have an interview with the lovely author, Kim Harrington!!

"When you can see things others can't, what do you do when someone's watching you?

Everybody knows about Clarity "Clare" Fern. She's the psychic girl in school, the one who can place her hands on something and see hidden visions from the past.

Only Clare would rather not be a celebrity. She prefers hanging back, observing. Her gift is not a game to her.

But then someone starts playing with her head . . . and heart. Messages and gifts from a secret admirer crop up everywhere Clare turns. Could they be from Gabriel, the gorgeous boy who gets Clare's pulse racing? Or from Justin, Clare's hopeful ex-boyfriend who'd do anything to win her back?

One thing is certain. Clare needs to solve this mystery, and soon. Because the messages are becoming sinister, and a girl in town has suddenly disappeared."

What do you think makes a good story?

A good story is one that I don’t want to put down and that I find myself thinking about long after the story is done.

What do you have in store for the Clarity series? How many books are planned for the series?

Right now it’s just the two. I would love to write another Clarity book and I already know the plot (fans can probably guess it), but in case I don’t get that opportunity, I worked hard to end Perception in what I hope is a satisfying way.

Do you read the same genre as you write? What are you currently reading?

In YA, I read everything—contemporary, paranormal, mysteries. In adult fiction, I mostly buy thrillers but I’ll toss in something else now and then, too. I miss horror and really wish it would make a comeback. I’m currently reading Fracture by Megan Miranda and loving it.

Why do you write for teens rather than for adults?

I think my voice lends itself to YA. And I think there’s more freedom in YA. The category isn’t as constrained by genre. For instance, my 2013 standalone is a horror, ghost story, murder mystery, romance. In the adult world, they wouldn’t know where to place it. In YA, you don’t have to fit your book into a specific box.

With Spring around the corner, what books do you want to read?

I think The Night She Disappeared by April Henry sounds awesome. And I’m also looking forward to Stay Close by Harlan Coben.

There have been many books that always leave me wanting more. This book, left me utterly hanging at the edge of my seat. I have never been more sad to see a book end. I did not want it to finish!

This book. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Let me gather me words here," The Bomb Diggity." That's right. This book is all kinds of awesome. What I loved about this book is the love interest. Straight up it held me. Friends for a long time, lies, betrayal and two hot boys fighting for her heart. What more could I ask for! From the very first page, I fell in love. The tension between the characters nearly gave me heart attack! I swear, it was getting hot up in here!

The plot of the book is another great aspect to the story. Fresh and innovative, this is not another tale of angels. It's so much more than that. There is fighting, action, secrets and best of all, a love that can not be relinquished!

Before I continue on yapping about this book, do yourself a favor and read it! READ IT!

Embrace is an heart pounding story that is tense and suspenseful. The unique perspective of angels, hierarchy's and such, quenches the thirst for all angel stories. A mesmerizing, beautiful story, Embrace is complex, unpredictable and exhilarating!!

I can not believe it took me so long to read this book! It totally blew me off my feet! I read this book fast. Not only was it so simple to get into but very action packed from the very first page.

I have read lost of renditions of Romeo and Juliet. And I admit this one is my favorite. I love that Ms. Jay took a classic tale putting a very unique fresh spin on the story. It was captivating and such a page turner. The plot is so amazing. I loved each twist of the story. It gave the reader so much more to look forward to as the reader continues diving deep into the story.

What caught me off guard about this book is the great feelings. I loved feeling the emotion of Juliet. Watching her struggle, fight, and come to terms with certain situations made me feel if I was in the story right by her side. I rooted for her to make it through and to no t give up.

The love interest totally surprised me. Here I thought I knew exactly who she love and BAM! Ms. Jay kept her readers on their toes and never let them down. With such amazing characters in the book, you never know what is going to happen.

Juliet Immortal is deeply entertaining book. The rousing re-retelling of star-crossed lovers strikes a good balance of love and lost. Juliet Immortal is ultimately beautiful and very satisfying.

I was so excited when this book came to my doorstep! Not only was it a surprise but I knew I would love it! Sure enough, this book captured me gluing my eyes to the pages.

What I liked most about this book is the characters growth in the book. I love it when an author can change a character so significantly right before your eyes. Ari is now in training and learning to use her powers. I loved that Ari had to be pushed, that so she can break that human barrier. I still love that Ari is so determined. It really showed Ari heart in who she is meant to be.

The love interest really tore at my heart. Though I did love the struggle in it. Ari fought for who she loved and even made some really tough decisions. Despite what is done to her, she made sure everyone is taken care of before herself. While her selflessness is admiring, it is also her very weakness.

There were also a few plot surprised that really took me by surprise. I love that Ms. Keaton drew me so much into the book that I didn't even realize what is coming at me. The plot pacing with every turn of the page is perfect!!

A Beautiful Evil is an undeniably entertaining story. A fast moving driven action drama, Ms. Keaton present a great sequel. A fresh, invigorating spin on Greek mythology, A Beautiful Evil leaves you jaw dropped!

This is an amazing sequel! it had everything I wanted in the book and more. A great plot line, amazing characters and a stalker that makes your hair crawl.

What I loved most about this plot is the great plot line. With every turn of the page, you dive deeper in the life of Clare. I adored being in her shoes and seeing how much her life has changed since then. The plot pacing in the book is so sweet! I loved the reading the book and really feeling like I was apart of it.Taking a walk in Clare shoes has never felt better.

The characters in this book have grown up so much! I loved that Clare is not naive but strong. Despite what she has gone through, her head remains high. I also adored how even minor characters play such a unique role in Clare's life.

Now the love interest! It's seem like I have been waiting for a long time to know this decision. Don't worry, I won't ruin it for you. But am I happy with who she chose? Definitely.

Overall, Perception is a ground breaking story that you will not forget. The psychological mysteries and thrillers in the book leave you gasping for air. A charming, entertaining sequel that will leave your mind blown, Perception gives an engaging read!

I have never read such a crazy, insane, out of your mind beautiful book. I thought when I started reading this book I knew exactly what I was getting myself into. A romance right? A story of two kids from other sides of the street saving one another from the pain that they carry....yeah, I wish...

Why did I love this book so much? Even if some parts made my mouth drop, made me want to drop the book right then and there? Because I get it. Ms. Michaelis brought so much clarity to the book in the end, it's impossible not to get. Everyone in their lives has demons. We all face them. But what happens when the demons that attack us, become a part of who we are? We longer fight it, but accept it. Why fight something you have no control of? The Storyteller is just that. Characters fighting there worst demons.

The love interest in this book is so toxic, yet it's addicting. You hear the warnings in every turn of the page. "Go away. Leave me alone. This place is not for you." And yet, you can't help but follow. Follow to see where they are going. Where they are falling. This love is bittersweet.

Let me see if I can gather my words here and try to explain this. Some people might see this book as Blah. They will read it for what it is and give it a crap rating. If your like me and see things deeper than what it is, you'll understand. And if you ever fought demons and knew that one step out of line that you are done for, you'll understand. If you ever gave up to your demons at one point and let if consume you cause you thought it was better than fighting it, you'll understand.

This book is not meant for kids under 18 yr old even though this is a young adult book. Still, there are some mature scenes in the book and well some things you can't understand till you get there or you have been there.

The Storyteller is an amazing mind blowing book that left me heartbroken. The borderline crossing of brilliance to utter madness is insane. The characters are unpredictable and leaves your mouth agape with aweness. Gripping, profound, and beautiful, The Storyteller will move you.

A very quick and exciting read, this book I enjoyed. It was very easy to get into that I sort of forgot where I was at cause I was so consumed with this amazing story.

What I liked most about this book is the great plot. Lately the plots of the books I have been reading have be intriguing me so much. I loved a good plot that is not only paced right, but fulfilling with each page turn. Sera , the main character, takes the reader on an adventure of lives that she held. I love that Sera see everything black and white. There are no gray ares for her. She is truthful in what she wants. She doesn't want to harm others but just be herself. Sera is really unique when it comes to characters. Ms. Williams wrote this characters with great dimension. Right from the start, I knew where Sear stood.

The love interest in this book took turns where I didn't think it would. Still, it was good. I love how well the love formed in the story. It wasn't fast but so enjoyable to read. To see how the character is different from what other people know her as is good. I love seeing things from every point of view. Ms. Williams did a fantastic job in capturing the essence of her characters and letting them flow freely in her writing.

The Alchemy Of Forever weaves a beautiful tale of love and magic. Readers will enjoy the new take of alchemy and it's magical forms. If anything, The Alchemy Of Forever is a thrilling enchantment story that can reign anyone in.

I picked up this book anticipating it. I was so excited to read something fresh and new. It gave me exactly what I wanted .The feel of history flowing through my fingers as I turned each page.

What I loved most about this book is the plot line. I love historical books. Falling into the shoes of Cate and seeing everything she is, is wonderful. I loved the description of the town, the minor characters and the history that is going on at the moment. The plot pacing is perfect as the reader follows along with the sisters, discovering dark secrets hidden from them.

I really adored the love interest. It was sweet and pure. With this love, the reader gets to see it form right before your eyes. I love watching two people fall in love. And with the obstacles facing both of them it just makes me want to root them on!

Now, the ending! UGH!!! Such a good and shocking ending. I mean wow! I did not see that coming since she had already made up her mind, but WOW! Yeah, my mouth dropped open on that tidbit.

Overall, Born Wicked is an entertaining, magical, surprising novel. Born Wicked tantalize it's readers with well written dialogue. A worthy novel from start to finish, Born Wicked is impressive.

I am sucker for love. Everyone who know me knows that. So when a friend of my recommended this book I couldn't resist and bought it. It's books like that this that make me wonder why in the world is she not freaking published! If she was this book would be flying off the walls! This book is awesome sauce! The whole nine yards! The whole enchilada! And if I could, I read it over and over again I would. Oh wait...I already did that!

So what made me fall in love in this story. The plot. Hands down the plot. The plot is simple. Cute bad boy. Good girl running away from her past. Mix together and BAM! Let me tell you that I could not stop smiling and laughing so much. Even my hubby got a little jealous at the fact of me smiling like a teenage girl on the couch! The plot is awesome. I loved that is filling to the reader with every page turn. There's no boredom, no confusement, just pure entertainment till the very last page.

The characters of this book totally rocked my world. I love Travis. His smile, his smart remarks, his corky smirk that makes me what to grab his face and kiss him! Travis is sooo him! I love that Ms. McGuire gave such a great insight to Travis that the reader feels as if you know him. It's like you've been friends for a long time. And Abby. I love this girls as well. She strong, level-headed and knows where she is going. She doesn't play games, but tells the truth like it is. She reminds me of well...me. :)

The love interest in this book is great. I loved reading the up and downs of Travis and Abby. Cause like them no relationship is perfect. To see them conquer their past together, to grow and rely on each other is so lovely!

A Beautiful Disaster achieves an engrossing and entertaining love that everyone will fall for. A rich, powerful story of love and friendship, A Beautiful Disaster excels in everything I hope for. Courage, strength, and a love that is so rare to find.

Isank down onto the side of her bed, amazed by the blazing wildfire that sweptthrough me whenever Emma was near enough to touch. I took a deep, unneededbreath, and settled down on my side next to her. The mattress didn’t sink. Thesprings didn’t groan with the weight of an extra body. The distance between uswas an impossible void. Inches that might as well have been miles. Miles thatleft me wanting in so many ways that I ached.

Eventhe sun couldn’t resist her. Its glowing rays caressed her skin, and stainedher hair the satiny color of summer wheat. Before I knew what was happening, myhand followed their lead. Cells ignited. My skin burned, screaming with theagonizing need to touch—

“Whatdo you think you’re doing?”

Ijerked my hand away just as Eastonmelted up from the polished hardwood floor beneath the window. Like an oilslick coming to life, he unfolded his long, shadowy legs until he was just anink blot against the square of tangerine sunrise behind him. His violet eyespinned me like a kid caught with his hand in the cookie jar.

Which,I kind of was.

“Nothing,”I lied.

“Yeah,looked like nothing.” He strolled across the room accompanied by a wave ofsulfur and smoke, the black serpent tattoo on his neck glinting. “What were youplanning to do, recite her poem? I swear to God, if you were still alive I’dconfiscate your man card.”

Iignored the barb and scrunched up my nose. “Jesus, Easton. Don’t they have a shower somewherebetween here and the afterlife?”

“Screwyou. You didn’t just have to tow somebody’s grandpa to Hell.” He brushedsomething chalky and grey off of his cloak and a shudder worked its way down myspine. God only knows who or what it belonged to. “Besides I wasn’t the oneabout to feel up a sleeping human.”

“Iwasn’t—”

“Saveit.” He waved his hand. “We have work to do. I don’t have time for your uselessobsession with the human today.”

“Will you please stop calling her that?”

“What?”Easton glancedup from Emma’s vanity, where he’d been inspecting the various lotions andbottles like he was on some alien planet. Then again, Easton had been dead for something like fourhundred years, so all of her stuff probably wassort of alien to him.

“The human. You make me sound like afreak. It’s not like we’re a different species for God’s sake. We were humans,too, or don’t you remember that far back?”

“Were. Past tense.”

Wecould have gone back and forth like that for hours, but the call came. Italways did. It started in my bones—a cold so cutting that it sliced through melike a machete. When I looked up, Easton’sjaw was clenched, his muscles taut and ready. He slowly closed his hand aroundthe handle of his scythe that burned black and softly smoked at his side. Iflexed my fingers as the icy ribbons of death worked their way through each oneof my limbs.

“Canyou take this one for me?” I asked. “You’re already going to be there, and Ijust got back—”

“No,”Easton said.“Hell no. I have my own job to do. I can’t keep covering for your sorry ass.Besides, you’re already on thin ice with Balthazar. Don’t push your luck, Finn.Just keep your nose down, collect your souls, and thank the Almighty that youdon’t have my job. Now let’s go.”

“Yeah,but…” My eyes returned to Emma. Sleeping. Perfect. Safe.

“Forthe love of God. She’ll be fine, you pansy.” Easton clamped a hand over my shoulder anddragged me from the bed.

“Howdo you know?”

Heshrugged. “I don’t.”

With that he vanished, consumed in a flash bythe keening wails of the damned. The screams beckoned. Clawed at me from theinside out. Ruleone as a seeker: Death doesn’t wait for anyone.

Andit sure as hell wasn’t waiting for me now.

Okay, I admit. I was a bit skeptical picking up this book seeing as the first book was good but didn't really catch my attention as much as I wanted it to. Still, I wanted to read the next book just to see what happens. Ms. Revis, I tip my hat to you.You have not only single-handingly blew me away, but you totally caught me off guard with your amazing plot pacing!

What amazed me about this book is the great plot. Not only was I intrigued and drawn immediately to such an amazing world, but my heart pounded! I was so excited to be in Amy shoe's following clues to a dark secret hidden in the Godspeed. That's what got me hooked, the secret. The clues that Amy must find in order to enure survival. Ms. Revis pulls in her readers strongly with a temptation I could not resist. Did I find the secret? You bet I did.

The characters of the book were so awesome. They grown up so much and understand so much more. Both Elder and Amy rely on each other smarts as well as each other strength to get them through. I adored that in moment by themselves, they had a peace that no one could enter. That their love grew strongly no matter what was happen at that very moment. Ms. Revis built such a wonderful relationship for the reader to fall into. At every point of view switch, the reader is not confused or left behind. Instead, the reader is brought to a whole new level of reading. A level where the reader is the character and can see, feel everything they can.

A Million Suns is a phenomenally successful story that everyone should read. It is a timeless piece of friendship, love and lost. A Million Suns is a fantasy epic with undeniable victory in the writing. With a moving plot that knocks you off your feet, A Million Suns is a must read!

What books have influenced your life most?

It might sound weird, but Time Life books series: The Great Ages of Man, Mysteries of the Unknown, Enchanted Lands – my grandfather used to get them once a month. When I was little, I’d pour over the pages. It’s where I learned about ancient history, mythology, and folklore. I inherited those books, and sometimes I’ll open them and remember the pictures and the words, and it takes me back to being eight years old, and imagining the gods and magic and wondrous things.

Where do you get your ideas for your books?

All kinds of places, really. History, mythology, sometimes watching a movie (or, yes, I admit it, a cartoon) will spark an idea, seeing a beautiful or haunting picture, or even things like an odd-colored sky before a storm, or a blood red leaf in the fall...

What was your favorite chapter to write and why?

Oh, this is hard to answer. Would have to go with Chapter 14 – the first time Ari sees her father and what transpires. That scene was really emotional to write. And Chapter 20 – Sebastian! That is all I’m going to say. :-)

Why do you feel you had to tell this story?

Even if the book hadn’t been contracted, I still would’ve written it because I really wanted Ari to have the opportunity to right some wrongs, or at least try. I didn’t outline the sequel, so it was as much of a journey for me as it was for her, and I had to see how it ended.

If you couldn’t be an author, what would your ideal career be?

Archaeologist.

Do you have any advice for aspiring authors?

Don’t worry so much about what process you use to tell your story (outlining, writing by the seat of your pants, a combination...). I see a lot of aspiring authors (myself included back in the day) get distracted by fonts, words per page, word counts, people telling you you have to outline every chapter or you must know the ending before you write, or whatever, that it can stop you before you even start. Don’t feel like you have to bend yourself to a particular process or even format things perfectly right from the beginning (unless you want to. If not, trust me, there will be plenty of time to deal with fonts and formats in subsequent drafts). Of course, know the elements that make a good story, read, read, read, then put the words on paper however it’s most natural and comfortable for you to do so.

I love stories of redemption and of salvation. Finding your inner demons is hard. And to see an author create such intensity in the characters he has come up with, it felt like I was right there, helping them fight their battles with them.

What I love most about this book are the characters. These character carried lots of weight on their shoulders. I loved reading about each character back round and how they come to be who they are. All of these characters play such an important role in each others lives they don't even know it till the very end.

The plot of the book is simple yet so complex. With each point of view switch, the reader learns more about the characters and the future that they are facing. I like how in every characters there is a moment of aweness when each character reveals their past. Now, not all past are the same, but to same, no matter what, they all had a struggle to face. And to face your inner demon and conquered it, is more that I can ever say.

Facing Demons, finds the exquisite tension between each character longing for a connection. Facing Demons is a beautiful story with the right amount of light at the end of the tunnel. With a breathtaking execution, Facing Demons keeps the reader entrance till the end.

After reading this book, I now must go back to finish the Evernight series. I started it, but still have two books left to read in the series. I loved this book. There was so much action right from the start that I had to sit up even straighter in my chair just to get reader for the ride!

So, what I loved most about this book is the awesome characters. Both main characters, Balthazar and Skye were freshly unique. It was goo d to read such a fantastic story along with amazing well written characters. I loved that these characters are flawed. The past that both these characters carried is hard. They learn to deal with things on their own. Ms. Gray brings these characters together through their traumatic ordeals. They learn to live and to love again.

The love interesting is so freaking awesome! I loved the flirting, the side smirks and the sarcastic remarks. Most of the time, while these two characters barked, I could do nothing but smile. They were so in love with each other it was cute to see them fall in love. To see two characters put everything they know aside for each other made my heart melt.

Balthazar is deeply entertaining, from the gripping opening to the breath-taking ending. With the amazing feat of ambition and imagination, Balthazar is my new hero!

Since I really loved the first book, I couldn't wait for this one. The one thing that hooked me on the series is the plot line. I loved being thrown into something new and unwritten! This book picks up for the first book left off and the reader is once again thrown in the mist of deviants.

What I loved about this book is the plot line. The deviants defeated the enemy once, but still have much to learn about. They are learning their powers, learning about the past, and discovering others out there like them. I really loved how well they took charge of their future. They ask questions and broke into computers.

The characters of this book you can tell have grown so much. I like that they are no longer naive but stronger. They rely on one another. During all the fights and trouble, they stuck by each other sides and were there to back each other up.

The love interest for me, felt a little wonky. At first, I thought I knew who would end up with who, but with all of the experiments done on them it's hard to separate their feelings. So in a sense I get it. Still, I was hoping for a more set relationship.

Overall, I like it. It was quick, easy, fun read. Havoc is ultimately entertaining, exciting, and stylish with great direction that will satisfy any reader.

Another great book that intrigued me to no end! Full of passionate writing and great characters Starters is the beginning of something great!

What I loved about the book is the plot line. It was so uniquely fresh and so exciting to read I could do nothing but read the pages faster and faster. The reader steps into Callie shoes, who rents out her body to allow someone else to use for a time period. In the mist of that, something happens to her chips, plans are uncovered and whole new world is discovered. As I read this story, the plot pacing builds up nicely. I loved feeling the emotions of the story build up along with the characters.

The characters of the book were also so uniquely fresh. I loved that each character played an important role to the next part of the story. Nothing was confusing and it all connected very well in the end. The very interesting part of the story is that some of the character were unaware of what is happening. It all felt so surreal when the characters and I, finally saw it all come together in the end.

Now the ending. I have never been more stunned in my life. I mean, I had no idea! Ms. Price really knows how to leave her readers breathless and awed!

Starters is an affectionate and comprehensively detailed presentation of amazing writing. A welcome alternative to the current genre offerings, Starters is faithful to give you a bite to remember.

WOW! This book completely surprised me with it great detailing of an apocalyptic world. I love dystopian books. I was so excited to dive into this book. It gave me exactly what I wanted and more.

What really hooked me in this book is the world created in it. I love being taken out of my world and put into the world that author made. The way the world was describe, the emotions that flowed from page to page, left me the feeling of being in the characters shoes. Pure, gave me the moment of aweness where the whole world around me fell down and I fell into the pages of adventure.

The secrets exposed in the book left me feeling exciting. I loved following the characters and being in the same position they are. As I read the book, the plot pacing is good. There are a few points in the story that for me slow down, but again Ms. Baggot built up the plot leading the reader further in to the world.

For me, the best part of the book is the feeling of contentment in the end. I really enjoyed being in the world. That is the best part of reading. Leaving the real world and enjoying a great fantasy.

Pure aims at the readers heart with adventure, action, and two people searching for answers. Pure delivers a well crafted apocalyptic world that's engaging in every twist and turn. I can't wait to read what the next book holds!
