I remembered running across an old photo in the family archives and I was able to locate it in a box I kept in my fifth-wheel travel trailer.

Believe it or not this is my cousin Kathy, seen here with a very young and flirty Elvis Presley. Kathy, a "Jet Bunny" was about to experience her 15 minutes of fame with the future King Of Rock and Roll.

Elvis Gropings At 24,000 ft!

Trapped (virtually alone) in the cabin of the Playboy Jet with Elvis, she was about to test all the skills she had learned in Bunny training about protecting her virtue in a hopeless situation. They were on their way to the opening of the London Playboy Club, flying from Los Angeles to Heathrow. Not many people know what happened on that flight, cause she ain't telling and Elvis is locked away in a East Texas nursing home where nobody but JFK knows he is the real Elvis!

Bubba Ho Tep, the Movie

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6tiaWwwCV_k

Bruce Campbell does a superb job as an aged Elvis, and Ossie Davis is pure genius as a black JFK in this comedy/horror that no one bothered to see at the movies but I remember reading that the critics absolutely loved it. Let me go out on a limb here and declare this bit of movie madness to be known from this point on as a "classic."

If you have an imagination and are an Elvis fan like I am, you will get a sincere kick out of this movie. After watching these clips of the movie you will want it for your collection. Buy Bubba Ho Tep from our Amazon store and we will be eternally grateful!

Fortunately I came to my senses and joined the United States Marine Corps after graduating.

Now I find a peaceful spot in the forest and when the time is right I listen to the oldies, close my eyes and remember how it was in 1966, an important year in boomer history.

Now, this picture shows how over the top this RV thing is getting now that all us affluent boomers are wanting to re-create our home luxury on the road. I don't particularly advocate that kind of lifestyle, that of keeping up with the mobile Joneses, I prefer a more compact way of travel with a vehicle I can still shop with, back up in an rv park or drive down the street in Old Town USA without taking out the parking meters.

However, I do think that boomers are leading the way toward a more luxurious mobile lifestyle, whether it's for full time RVing in a motorhome or just an occasional romp in style. I believe this trend toward luxury motorhome purchases will outsell most other RV markets, 5th wheels, travel trailers, pop-ups, etc, for the next five to ten years.
