On Tuesday, Sept. 29, Flo Milli took over Means Street Studios for “Smoke Sessions with Flo Milli,” an intimate, invitation-only listening experience presented by The Ayars Agency as part of the Flo State Experience and sponsored by Backwoods.

The directive for the evening was simple: “Pull Up. Light Up. Tap Into Flo State.”

Guests did exactly that as Flo offered an early listen to unreleased material, danced along to her new music, and personally guided the room through the sounds shaping her next era.

Flo Milli Gets Atlanta Into A ‘Flo State’

Before Flo took center stage, DJ Roots Queen kept the energy flowing as both DJ and resident hype woman, soundtracking the opening hours while guests settled into the smoke-friendly affair.

Once the listening portion began, all attention shifted to Flo.

Rather than simply pressing play and disappearing into the crowd, the “Never Lose Me” rapper was an active participant in the experience. She danced, offered context for select records, and visibly enjoyed hearing the music alongside her guests.

The unreleased material offered several different versions of Flo, beginning with “I’m Back In That Mode,” a laid-back selection that lived up to its name with a decidedly chill feel.

“Still A Fan” switched up the sound with more alternative-leaning production underneath Flo’s relaxed flow, offering a noticeable contrast to the selection that preceded it.

Another selection took the room into much sexier territory as Flo rapped,

“I like the money, I make him throw me that money.” The beat and delivery gave the record a sultry, strip-tease-ready feel, adding another mood to the music previewed that evening.

It was becoming increasingly clear that the tracks on the upcoming project have range.

Flo Milli Plays With Production On Her New Music

The beat selections were just as noticeable as Miss Milli’s rap flow throughout Smoke Sessions.

Producer tags from names including RiotUSA and Project4fan could be heard at the top of several records throughout the night, signaling some notable collaborators behind the sounds without tying the producers to any one unreleased track before the project’s official credits arrive.

The records themselves moved freely between moods.

“Need That,” an unreleased collaboration featuring Megan Thee Stallion, carried a nostalgic feel with the kind of bounce that recalled the ’90s and early 2000s before speeding into a quicker pocket. Flo rode the faster production with her signature nimble delivery, while Meg brought her own unmistakable cadence to the collaboration.

“Bossy” offered another change of pace, while “Hot As A Bic” kept the experimentation going.

Then there was “Im P,” which brought the room back into a cooler pocket. Flo leaned into melodic sing-rapping on the chilled-out selection, pairing it with the confidently conceited energy that has always made her music fun.

Taken together, the selections made the production itself part of the listening experience. One song might invite a head nod while the next called for something decidedly sexier, but Flo sounded comfortable moving through all of it.

BOSSIP’s very own Lauryn Bass caught up exclusively with Flo during Smoke Sessions and asked how it felt working with producers like RiotUSA and Project4fan while exploring the different beat selections heard throughout the evening.

“Honestly, I’m just happy,” Flo told BOSSIP. “It’s been great. Like, honestly. They’ve both been great. It’s like my first time working with both of them.”

Her response matched the energy she carried throughout Smoke Sessions. Flo appeared genuinely excited about the work, dancing to the records and watching the crowd experience the different sounds she and her new collaborators have been exploring.

“This Is With Me And My Man“

Flo revealed a softer side when introducing a sensual selection referred to during the listening session as “Strawberry.”

“This is with me and my man,” Flo told the room before the song began.

The record traded some of the evening’s braggadocious energy for a sensual love-song feel, showing another side of the music while fitting almost too perfectly into the night’s strawberry-heavy aesthetic.

Backwoods incorporated its limited-edition Strawberry N’ Crème flavor throughout the event, while the bar connected Flo’s musical world to the cocktails with a menu featuring drinks named “Bossy,” “Hot As A Bic” and “Strawberries & Crème.”

Flo saved another sexy moment for last with “Throw That Money,” which she described to the room as another sexy song before inviting the ladies toward the front.

Unlike the slower sensuality heard elsewhere, the final selection picked up the pace with enough bounce for the club. Flo didn’t leave the dancing to her guests, either, moving right along with the crowd as Smoke Sessions got one final taste of her new era.

Backwoods Brings The Smoke To ‘Smoke Sessions’

Backwoods’ presence extended well beyond the bar.

The intimate studio was adorned with branded paraphernalia including backpacks, fitted caps, lighters, rolling trays, and ashtrays.

Flo Milli song titles appeared throughout the décor, including on pillows and smoking accessories, while a glowing Atlanta sign recreated in Backwoods-style lettering provided a fitting nod to the city hosting the experience.

The small studio space also featured a bar and old-school joystick arcade games, keeping the atmosphere more kickback than industry function.

Of course, there were wings.

Wingstop kept guests fed throughout the night — and because this was an Atlanta function, yes, lemon pepper was among the flavors.

Flo Milli Is Back Outside & Ready For Her Next Era

By the end of Smoke Sessions, “Flo State” felt less like a tagline and more like an accurate description of the night.

The atmosphere was hazy and intentionally low-key, but the energy never disappeared. Much of that came directly from Flo, who knew how to command even an intimate room.

She danced, talked to the crowd, and appeared genuinely proud of the work she was sharing. From the alternative-leaning feel of “Still A Fan” and the nostalgic bounce of “Need That” to the melodic confidence of “Im P” and the sensuality sprinkled throughout the listening session, Flo gave Atlanta a taste of music that refuses to sit in one sonic lane.

Aesthetically, she was still serving the sexy-swag, alt-princess energy we’ve come to expect.

Smoke Sessions didn’t need a massive stage or elaborate production to introduce Flo Milli’s next chapter. A studio, a room full of people, a little smoke, and a lot of new music did the job.

BOSSIP was happy to tap into Flo State and see Flo Milli back outside, proudly sharing her work as she prepares to enter her next album era.

Charles Oakley might be an NBA legend, but becoming a Bravo househusband was never exactly on his bucket list.

The former New York Knicks star, who’s married to #RHOA’s Angela Oakley, recently got candid about reluctantly entering the reality TV world on BET’s For The Fellas. During the Sept. 23 episode, Oakley revealed that Bravo had been pursuing his Housewife honey for years before the couple finally agreed to join the franchise.

“They’ve been chasing us for some years,” Oakley said.

At first, the couple passed on the opportunity. But as time went on, Angela became more interested in joining RHOA and approached her husband again to see if he had changed his mind.

“I said, ‘Oh lawd.’ So, It’s cool. It’s not my field but I just let her go on and do her thing.”

The couple ultimately joined The Real Housewives of Atlanta during Season 16, with Oakley making appearances alongside his wife, much to the joy of Angela’s “Fangies”, throughout the season.

FCI Fort Dix is sending the disgraced music mogul back into the Special Housing Unit, better known as solitary confinement, according to reports from TMZ.

Multiple sources informed the outlet that Diddy is returning to SHU in response to the NBC News report from earlier this week, which detailed his alleged, luxurious prison stay. The article featured photos of the Bad Boy founder allegedly drinking contraband booze, along with stories from his fellow inmates about massages, fancy meals, contraband booze, and other inmates doing his chores.

TMZ reports that sending an inmate to SHU is a typical procedure as prison officials conduct an investigation.

This trip isn’t Diddy’s first time in solitary, either. The producer was reportedly sent to SHU back in July after getting into a prison fight.

As BOSSIP previously reported, news of Combs’ venture into solitary comes after the details of his VIP prison life were revealed.

According to NBC News, in prison, there are men who cook and clean for the disgraced music mogul, which also includes making his bed and doing his laundry. He also has a man who gives him Chinese-style massages.

“This is not some normal s**t you see in jail. This is some rich s**t,” one of the men told the outlet. “It looks crazy, but again, it’s Diddy.”

Some of the footage obtained by NBC News shows Combs appearing to use a contraband phone, just one of the privileges he seemingly has in the facility. The 56-year-old is serving a 50-month sentence for prostitution-related offenses.

According to the outlet, multiple sources said he uses contraband cellphones to scroll Instagram and scan nude and sexually explicit photos that an old girlfriend sends him. They say he has also been able to buy Remeron from other inmates, an antidepressant drug sought out for its mood-boosting effects.

On the weekend, Combs would reportedly tap into a secret stash of premium liquor, which was smuggled in by guards and shared with a tight group of fellow inmates.

“Hell yeah, I drank with him,” said one of the men, who says he drank Hennessy with Combs.

Von Scales, the husband of singer, entrepreneur, reality star Trina Braxton, has died.

“It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Von Scales, beloved husband of Trina Braxton,” Trina’s publicist David Robinson said in a statement to BOSSIP. “The family appreciates your thoughts and prayers, but is asking for privacy at this time as they navigate this unfortunate event.”

Additional details surrounding Scales’ death were not immediately available. He was 58.

Trina and Scales married in December 2019 in St. Louis after meeting through mutual friends. Their relationship was chronicled on Braxton Family Values and later The Braxtons.

While discussing their romance with ESSENCE in 2019, Trina recalled realizing she was falling for Scales during their long-distance courtship.

“He’s just such a great conversationalist and I just enjoyed talking to him,” she said, adding that she found herself missing him whenever they weren’t speaking.

Scales also supported Trina as she mourned the 2018 death of her former husband, Gabe Solis.

“He really helped me through it; he stood right by me,” Trina told Entertainment Tonight in 2019. “I just thank God for him.”

Scales was an entrepreneur who also appeared alongside Trina on reality television.

If you ever find yourself wondering, “Where is the cast of The Parkers?” you’re definitely not alone. The beloved UPN sitcom may have wrapped more than two decades ago, but its outrageous characters, unforgettable one-liners and over-the-top storylines still live rent-free in fans’ memories. Since the show ended, its stars have taken some surprisingly different paths, from major Hollywood wins and new television roles to music, writing and life away from the spotlight.

What was The Parkers About?

Before we get into where the beloved cast is now, let’s take a trip back to where it all began. A spin-off of the hit sitcom Moesha, The Parkers premiered in 1999 and ran for five seasons before saying goodbye in 2004.

At the center of the series was Nikki Parker, played by Mo’Nique, a single mother who had dropped out of high school after becoming pregnant with her daughter, Kimberly. Years later, Kim, played by Countess Vaughn, heads to Santa Monica College, and Nikki decides she’s not going to let her own unfinished education hold her back. So, she enrolls at the same school as her daughter.

Naturally, having your mom suddenly become your college classmate is not exactly every teenager’s dream. The two navigate school, dating, work and adulthood together while sharing plenty of hilarious and occasionally chaotic moments along the way.

And then there was Professor Stanley Oglevee. Nikki’s enormous crush on the handsome professor became one of the show’s biggest running jokes. She stopped at almost nothing to win his heart, while Stanley spent an equal amount of energy trying to escape her relentless pursuit. Their back-and-forth became one of the sitcom’s signature storylines.

So, where is the cast of The Parkers after all these years? Here’s what happened to some of the stars who made the series unforgettable.

The Belle Collective: Birmingham star and Love & Marriage: Huntsville alum is expecting her second child with her husband, Canvas Beauty COO Courtney Beasley.

The couple announced the news Sept. 25, revealing that they are expecting a baby girl in early 2027.

And when we say surprise, we mean SURPRISE.

Steele previously shared on Belle Collective: Birmingham that any future pregnancy would happen through surrogacy. After welcoming her son Chess in 2021 following a lengthy fertility journey and IVF treatments, Steele had already begun the surrogacy process when she discovered she was pregnant naturally.

“For years, I didn’t know if I would ever experience the joy of carrying a child,” Steele said in a press release announcing their pregnancy. “When I learned I was pregnant again naturally, after we had already begun the surrogacy process, I was blown away.”

Talk about a plot twist.

A Little Queen Of Hearts Is On The Way

Steele and Beasley are now preparing to welcome their daughter, whom Steele lovingly referred to as their “little Queen of Hearts.”

The name is fitting because the pregnancy announcement arrived alongside the launch of Canvas Beauty’s new Queen of Hearts Body Glaze. The scent features creamy tonka, smoked vanilla, golden resins, sandalwood, heated cashmere, and skin musk.

But clearly, the biggest reveal was not the body glaze.

From Fertility Struggle To Family Blessing

Steele has been candid about her fertility journey, including an endometriosis diagnosis that damaged one of her fallopian tubes and led doctors to recommend IVF for her first pregnancy.

She later turned that difficult experience into advocacy through For Mamas, a nonprofit that helps fund IVF treatments for women hoping to become mothers.

Her journey to motherhood has happened alongside an equally impressive entrepreneurial rise. Steele founded Canvas Beauty in 2018 after initially creating products in her kitchen. She eventually became a major TikTok Shop seller, with the company announcing that she became the first creator to generate $2.6 million in sales during a single TikTok Shop Live session.

From Huntsville To Birmingham

For fans who remember Steele from Love & Marriage: Huntsville, this is another major chapter in her reality television journey. She is now starring in OWN’s Belle Collective: Birmingham, where she documents her business, marriage, friendships, and life in Alabama.

Now, she is preparing for another expansion entirely. Stormi Steele has built the business, survived the fertility journey, and become a mama all over again. And this time, baby girl is coming as one very unexpected blessing.

Ivanna Lisette Ortiz, 36, of Orlando, Florida, was indicted by a Los Angeles County grand jury, per AP. The indictment was unsealed Wednesday after being kept confidential for several months while Ortiz underwent psychiatric evaluations.

Ortiz appeared in court in yellow jail clothing and spoke only with her attorney. Her lawyer entered a not guilty plea on her behalf. A judge ordered Ortiz to remain in custody on $2.6 million bail.

The indictment came one day after a judge determined that Ortiz was mentally competent to stand trial. The grand jury returned its indictment on June 18, but the document remained sealed while the court considered Ortiz’s competency. With that issue resolved, the case is now moving forward toward trial.

Authorities allege Ortiz drove a Tesla to the gates of the Beverly Hills-area property where Rihanna and A$AP Rocky live on March 8. Investigators say she pulled out an AR-15-style rifle and fired at least 20 rounds toward the property and a neighboring home.

No one was injured during the shooting.

“This is a person who wanted to kill Rihanna,” Deputy District Attorney Alexander Bott told reporters outside court. “Everyone else was collateral damage.”

According to a police report, several bullets struck an Airstream trailer on the property. Gunfire also hit a wall near the nursery inside the home, where the couple’s three young children were with their nanny at the time.

Rihanna’s mother and multiple members of the household staff were also reportedly inside the home. Authorities allege Ortiz additionally fired toward a neighboring residence.

Ortiz’s attorney, Deputy Public Defender Derek Dillman, did not comment to reporters following Wednesday’s hearing. The public defender’s office also did not immediately respond to a request for comment regarding the indictment.

Ortiz’s attorneys have previously declined to publicly discuss the allegations beyond saying they intended to protect their client’s rights.

Investigators said Ortiz told them on the day of her arrest, “I wasn’t attempting murder.”

Ortiz was initially charged in March with attempting to murder Rihanna, along with more than a dozen additional felony counts. Those charges were dismissed Wednesday and replaced by the new indictment.

By using a grand jury, prosecutors were able to bypass California’s preliminary hearing process, which typically requires prosecutors to present evidence publicly to establish whether a case should proceed to trial.

The new indictment includes 10 counts of assault with an assault weapon, one for each person prosecutors say was present at the two properties. It also includes three counts of shooting at an inhabited dwelling or camper.

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky’s three children, RZA, Riot, and Rocki, who are all under 5, are listed as victims in the indictment. The assault-with-an-assault-weapon charges carry a potentially harsher sentence than the original allegations of assault with a semiautomatic firearm.

If convicted on all charges, Ortiz could face life in prison.

The psychiatric evaluations that delayed the case have been sealed, and details about Ortiz’s mental state have not been publicly disclosed. Prosecutors have also not revealed a motive or identified any known connection between Ortiz and Rihanna.

Ortiz, who had worked as a licensed speech pathologist, reportedly had no prior criminal record before the alleged shooting.

BLD PWR activist/ actor Kendrick Sampson is giving fans a candid look into how he views love, romance, relationships, and fatherhood, and his unconventional approach has sparked plenty of conversation online. Sampson is going viral after opening up about his personal views during a Sept. 23 appearance on Shan Boodram’s LOVERS podcast, where he discussed everything from his relationship with sex to whether marriage and monogamy could fit into his life.

When Boodram asked whether he was currently romantically partnered, Sampson made his position clear: He has “no goal” of finding a romantic relationship right now. That doesn’t mean he has ruled one out completely, however.

Sampson also revealed that he has “a complicated complex relationship with sex” and that he views pleasure, sex and love as separate concepts that can take different forms.

“Do I think I’ll be satisfied with one person? No. Do I think I can? Do I think I can have a wife? Do I think I can be monogamous? Hell yeah!” he admitted to Boodram. “I can be disciplined. If I decide on it, I’ma do it.”

But romance—or the lack of it—wasn’t the only revealing topic Sampson discussed.

For now, the actor said much of his energy is focused on his family and his activism work through BLD PWR (Build Power), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization he co-founded.

BLD PWR focuses on using pop culture, education, and activism to build a community of storytellers and activists committed to advancing social change. The organization works with grassroots groups on a range of issues, including racial, gender, immigration, economic and environmental justice.

That extensive work takes up much of his time and dedication, which is why Sampson believes he just doesn’t have much to give to a relationship at this stage of his life.

“I’m full time running a nonprofit grounded in Black radical liberation. Full time. Do I think I can have kids with my wife and be successful in it? Yeah, I do. I think it would take more effort than I’m willing to give. I want to put that effort elsewhere. I want to put that effort in these other areas that I’m still not getting right,” the 38-year-old actor admitted.

Sampson Has A Different Vision For Parenthood. Here’s What He Said On LOVERS.

Sampson’s views on having children may be even more unconventional than his approach to romance. Later in the interview with Shan Boodram, the Hollywood heartthrob revealed his ideas on family, and for him a relationship isn’t necessarily needed to build one. He said having a relationship with his “homegirls” could be a better fit for the stage of life he’s currently in. He believes parenting should center on the child’s well-being, not romance.

“I just look at love differently,” Sampson continued. “In my head, if I’m going to have a partnership, I don’t want a child in there. I want a child. I definitely want children, but I want children with my homegirls. I want my homegirls to know that we ain’t ever going to have a romantic nothing, and the only thing we worried about is the health of the child.”

He continued:

“It ain’t complicated by what I feel and what mood I’m in, how you betrayed me, how you slept with someone, how you cheated. I don’t want the romance. You haven’t been shown enough romance, and so now the kid is suffering? I would rather be in a relationship where we know we got kids. ‘It takes a village.’ This is the village.”

Sampson referenced a couple Boodram had previously interviewed, Lawrence and Brandy, who created a parental agreement before having a child. Boodram explained that the pair lived together and that he supported her throughout the pregnancy without their relationship becoming romantic.

The actor also brought up Black maternal mortality in Texas and the challenges that can come with navigating medical systems, doulas, and natural childbirth.

“When they say it takes a village, it really do,” he said. “And I’ve had conversation with homegirls. And I’m like, I think you’d be an incredible mom. That’s the only thing I’m looking at. Hey, if you ever [want to], you know what I’m saying? I’m here for you.”

For Sampson, romance appears to serve a different “function” entirely. He described romantic relationships as requiring a separate “set of skills,” including learning how to comfort one another, bring each other pleasure, and figure out how two people can successfully share a life.

Social Media Had Plenty To Say About Kendrick Sampson’s LOVERS Appearance With Shan Boodram.

Unsurprisingly, Sampson’s comments quickly sparked discussion online, with many social media users applauding the actor for being open about his perspective.

“KNOWING your capacity and operating in that dynamic is a skill set that EVERYONE should practice,” one person wrote.

“‘More Effort Then I’m Willing To Give’” is the Transparency we all need in different aspects of our lives,” another penned.

A third person added:

“Hearing this level of transparency is extremely refreshing to ears weary of hearing lies & manipulation. And there’s someone out there that can and is willing to meet him exactly where he is because she also resides there. Love this exchange!!”

Not everyone was convinced, however.

Some commenters suggested that Sampson’s approach to love, family and relationships could be connected to unresolved “deep-rooted issues.”

“I hope he heals. He talked about a bunch of nothing!” one person wrote on YouTube.

Sampson wasted no time offering a little perspective to the naysayers online, writing on Instagram:

“I see some of ya’ll triggered by me talking thru it… I get it. It’s a clip, watch the whole convo.”

The Nolan Wells investigation just found another reason for everybody involved to start asking some very uncomfortable questions.

According to USA Today, a forensic examination of Nolan’s phone by Garrett Discovery uncovered Snapchat messages that had been deleted or “unsent” by the people who originally sent them. And before anybody starts running with the idea that somebody snatched Nolan’s phone and started cleaning up evidence, there’s an important distinction to be made here. The forensic investigator, Andrew Garrett, has clarified that his examination did not establish that someone physically accessed Nolan’s phone and deleted the messages. Instead, the messages were removed by the Snapchat users who sent them.

Still, that does not make the discovery irrelevant.

According to the forensic examination obtained by USA Today, Nolan was an active Snapchat and Instagram user, and messages from group conversations continued syncing to his phone even after his disappearance because other people in those chats were still communicating.

Some of those conversations reportedly included discussions about two men in nearby boats whom Nolan’s friends considered suspicious. In one exchange, someone described the men as “sketchy-looking” and possibly felons. Another person reportedly recounted that a sheriff had warned Nolan’s father that he would not want to be left alone with the men, particularly if they were intoxicated. Other conversations reportedly included concerns about racism on Horn Island.

Now, none of this magically produces a smoking gun. The forensic examination cannot establish who deleted individual messages or why they were deleted. It also does not prove that the deleted conversations contained evidence about what happened to Nolan. However, considering the circumstances surrounding his disappearance, the existence of conversations involving suspicious people, and concerns about what was happening around Nolan, it is absolutely something worth investigating.

And then there is Jackson County District Attorney Angel Myers McIlrath, who has apparently had enough of ubiquitous civil rights attorney Ben Crump’s public commentary.

McIlrath pushed back against Crump’s interpretation of the Snapchat evidence, emphasizing that the messages were deleted by other Snapchat users rather than someone gaining access to Nolan’s phone. She also accused Crump of presenting a misleading narrative about the investigation and went considerably further, saying that based on her interactions with him and his conduct surrounding the case, Crump was “not worthy of our trust.”

“Again, if the Crump team genuinely has new information or evidence that Nolan Wells was murdered they should stop playing and immediately provide it to me,” she said.

The deleted Snapchat messages may eventually prove meaningless. They may also contain context that investigators need to understand what happened before Nolan disappeared.

Either way, when messages connected to a missing person are disappearing from conversations, people are understandably going to want to know why. And after everything that has happened in this case, “trust us” is definitely not going to be enough for Nolan’s family, nor the general public.

Four men who have spent time in prison with Combs have revealed the details of his time at Fort Dix federal prison in New Jersey. Their story is corroborated by photos and videos taken inside the prison and reviewed by NBC News, who reported the details of Diddy’s luxurious life behind bars.

According to the outlet, in prison, there are men who cook and clean for the disgraced music mogul, which also includes making his bed and doing his laundry.

But, despite these details, one spokesperson for Combs downplayed his prison life.

“The continued scrutiny of every mundane detail of Sean Combs’s life in prison has reached the point where the media characterizes ordinary prison life as news,” the spokesperson said. “The only real news is that Sean continues to serve his sentence while awaiting the court’s decision on his appeal.”

A spokesperson for the Bureau of Prisons said the agency does not comment on a particular inmate’s conditions due to “privacy, safety and security reasons.”

“Like all correctional agencies, contraband, particularly cell phones, narcotics, and weapons, remains a constant challenge, and we continue to tackle the problem of contraband being introduced into our facilities,” the spokesperson added in a statement.

Per NBC News, Diddy has reportedly spent thousands of dollars a month to bring his lifestyle to the low-security prison, which is paid for by money flowing from people outside prison to the commissary accounts of those inmates performing services for him.

Those allegedly getting paid by Combs include a man who would clean the toilet and shower areas before he’d use them, and men who would secretly cook him special meals using a makeshift heating element submerged in water.

“After a while, I got tired of cooking,” one man said. “He started going to the Jamaicans.”

Fort Dix prison houses about 4,000 inmates. Combs arrived there in October following his conviction on two counts of transporting people across state lines for sexual encounters.

The disgraced music mogul’s trial ended in a split verdict, with a New York jury finding him not guilty on sex trafficking and racketeering charges that could have put him in prison for life. Following his sentencing, Combs’ lawyers pushed for him to be sent to Fort Dix in part because it offers a drug treatment program, and completing the program often leads to a reduction of an inmate’s prison term.

“He’s a billionaire. People are in awe of him,” said one of the sources. “Money is power, especially behind bars.”

A Different World viewers are going Kojo krazy over Hillman heartthrob Chibuikem Uche who, like commotion-causing co-star Cornell Young IV, continues to fuel heart eye hysteria while shining on the hit sequel series currently reigning at #1 on the streaming platform.

Originally from London (like his character on the show), the 26-year-old actor was born to Nigerian parents and lived in the UK until he was eight before moving to Connecticut.

He later attended the University of Connecticut where he earned a degree in mathematics and actuarial science, which lead to him working full-time for an insurance company.

What seemed like a solid career move was merely the prologue to his budding acting career with inspiration from Michael B. Jordan‘s star-turn in Creed.

“In my junior year of college, I woke up one morning and the trailer for Creed had just come out,” he recalled in an interview with Muscle & Fitness.

“Michael B. Jordan was someone who I had watched in The Wire, and Friday Night Lights, and all of a sudden I’m looking at this big, buff version of him. My best friend and I immediately looked up his fitness regimen.”

It’s that curiosity that pushed Uche to learn about nutrition by researching MBJ who ultimately inspired him to apply these lessons to his own lifestyle.

“I lived in West Hartford, and I would drive into Shelton, so I would get up at 7am and commute an hour into work,” he recalled.

“I would be in the office from 8.30 a.m. to 5.30 a.m., so I couldn’t wait to get to the gym. The gym actually became something that I would do every day. I would spend two hours there because it was my release, and my opportunity to be active. I’ve always been an active, physical person, so when I was in finance, I held onto my fitness very tight.”

Following in the footsteps of MBJ and older brother, Chinaza, who pursued acting, Uche decided to make the leap to acting himself.

“When I felt this thing starting to bubble up inside of me, and brew more and more, I just wanted to jump into it,” he said.

Uche eventually packed up everything and committed himself to becoming a successful actor in Hollywood.

“That was the start of a crazy, crazy, beautiful journey,” he said.

Fast-forward to 2026 where Uche is booked and buzzy as Ghanaian-Nigerian fashion merchandising student Kojo Achebe who charms American girls (especially Rashida), builds close bonds with his Garvey Hall mates, and expresses his passion for clothing design on Netflix’s hit series A Different World.

“Being a fashion designer is not the expected path that his parents have for him,” said Uche about Kojo in an interview with TUDUM. “He’s a young man trying to find himself.”

Are you rooting for Kojo and Rashida to end up together? Tell us down below and enjoy the heart-eyed hysteria over on the flip.

BOSSIP’s Liz Smith recently sat down with Nichole Harmon-Pointdujour, known as the “Master Connector,” to discuss her transition from Wall Street to entrepreneurship, navigating corporate spaces as a Black woman, her new book The Master Connector, and the inspiration behind her growing In the Room event series.

After spending 21 years on Wall Street as an investment banker and equity trader, including five years leading national partnerships at JPMorgan Chase, Nichole realized she had been given access to spaces most people never see.

“So my background I was on Wall Street for 21 years as an investment banker and an equity trader. And in the last five years, I was head of national partnerships at JPMorgan Chase,” she explained. “And so with that, being a vice president and being an equity trader in New York, I was invited to a lot of closed door conversations, just a lot of rooms that most people didn’t know about. So this all came from God. He said you’re going to bring them all together in one room and build this community.”

And that is exactly what she did.

In the Room was created to bridge the gap between corporate executives and entrepreneurs searching for funding, sponsorship opportunities, resources, and real business knowledge. Instead of another networking event where attendees exchange business cards and hope for the best, Nichole intentionally fills the room with people who can actually make things happen.

Her past featured guests have included Egypt Sherrod and Mike Jackson, Yandy Smith-Harris, Dr. Eric Thomas and Angela Yee. Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens and former Mayor Kasim Reed have also supported the series.

“At each event, I interview a multimillionaire that has made it to tell their story,” Nichole said.

The next In the Room takes place October 15 at Prime on Peachtree in Atlanta and features powerhouse executive Valeisha Butterfield.

“Valeisha Butterfield is a powerhouse. She used to work for Obama. She was the head of D&I at Google. She’s on the board of the Grammy. She’s on the board of Clark Atlanta. And she supports me and can really help those with their business who will be in the room.”

Nichole has also secured major corporate partners including Amazon, Puma, Truist, Northwestern Mutual and JPMorgan Chase, something she credits to her network and, frankly, having the audacity to ask.

Each sponsor is expected to bring corporate executives into the space, giving entrepreneurs direct access to decision-makers.

“This event is different because it’s the fact that you’re getting access to the decision makers at these major institutions.”

That confidence was built long before entrepreneurship. Nichole recalled entering JPMorgan’s investment banking program despite coming from a different background than many of her peers.

“I had to go through 13 interviews. Everyone there went to Ivy League: Harvard, Yale, Princeton, typically white males,” she said. “But I survived. I knew I was smart and never had imposter syndrome. I knew I was supposed to be in that room and figure things out.”

Now she is teaching others how to do the same.

Her biggest networking lessons are simple: lead with value, do good work, and follow up. Nichole recommends reconnecting within 24 to 72 hours after meeting someone, even sending a photo from the interaction to help jog their memory.

And for Bossip readers ready to get in the room themselves, Nichole is offering 10% off tickets with code BOSSIP10.

Because sometimes one introduction really can change everything.

More than 30 years after Varnell Hill first pulled up on Martin with a bright yellow suit, an even brighter personality, and enough ego to fill an entire soundstage, Tommy Davidson is asking one very important question: “Did ya miss me?”

The answer is YES!

The Varnell Hill Show is officially streaming on Paramount+, bringing Davidson’s unforgettable character from the classic ‘90s sitcom Martin back to television nearly three decades after his original appearance.

Premiering earlier this month, the new comedy takes what was once a hilarious two-episode storyline and asks a surprisingly relevant question: What happens when yesterday’s hottest late-night host has to survive today’s entertainment industry?

And chile, Varnell is finding out with a few friends helping along the way.

This time around, Varnell is navigating an entertainment industry that’s drastically different from the one he once dominated, while Kym Whitley stars as his loyal executive assistant, Kim, helping keep the late-night host—and apparently the comedians playing alongside him—under control.

According to Whitley, viewers should expect nothing less than comedic chaos.

The cast of The Varnell Hill Show is fire. And that’s what they’re going to expect. Everyone is great. Everyone stays in their lane. You can see their characters clear, Whitley told BOSSIP. Even though we did this quickly—maybe say Friday I got hired, we started Monday—we were ready and we were excited.

More importantly, Whitley said the ensemble understood that the series was an opportunity to give Davidson his moment.

We rallied around Tommy Davidson to make sure that he shined. This was his opportunity as a spinoff of Martin. But you got to think about all those comedians. Baby, we were laughing on that set. Just silly.

And apparently sometimes TOO silly. With that much comedic firepower in one room, we had to ask how anybody actually managed to get some work done.

Whitley explained that veterans like herself and Chris Williams already understood how to adjust their comedy for television, but every now and then, somebody had to reel them back in.

We know how to dial it in. But every now and then, let me tell you something, we would let go, and then Bentley Evans would say, “Hey, guys. Okay, all right. Okay, we got that.” Maybe that was the challenge, I would say, of being too crazy.

And Tommy?

Tommy’s jumping on the desk, dancing around. Cut. Out of control, Whitley joked. Out of control, but we are laughing. So it did take some time to reel us in.

Whitley has built a career playing some unforgettable women, but one role apparently worked a little too well.

When BOSSIP asked the actress about the biggest misconception people have about her, she immediately pointed toward her famously freaky Next Friday character, Suga.

The first one is that I’m Suga from Next Friday, for real. I am not that girl. Do you know how hard it was for Ice Cube to put me in those outfits? Very shy, she revealed. It’s interesting, because people saw that character and they thought that I was sexual and just all that raw. No, I’m an actress.

Whitley also laughed off assumptions about her romantic life.

Another one is that I’m married and got all these boyfriends. I’m alone right now, she joked before panning around her surroundings. Look, ain’t nobody here.

The legendary comedian’s honesty continued when the conversation shifted toward balancing relationships with being an ambitious woman, as she recalled some unforgettable advice given by her father.

My father told me a long time ago when I started off, he said, “Listen. You want a husband? You got to work on getting a husband just like you work on your career.”

His message didn’t stop there.

He said, “A lot of y’all work so hard trying to get that career, you forget about the other thing. You also got to work on that family that you want.”

Whitley admitted there’s another part of her dad’s advice she’s still working on: leaving the boss at the office.

“Bring the woman in, bring the mommy in, bring the wife in,” she recalled before laughing, “Yes, I still ain’t learned that. That boss still be coming in the house.”

When it comes to career longevity, however, Kym has definitely learned a few things.

Her biggest advice to those starting out: get a mentor and stop waiting for somebody else to make your career happen.

Have a plan. Find a mentor. That’s the one thing I did not do, Whitley told BOSSIP. Find you an actress that is ahead of you or a business person, whatever you’re in, and ask questions.

She also reminded aspiring entertainers that today’s social media landscape gives them tools her generation never had.

Back in the day, I was just sending out pictures to everybody. I was in the party giving out pictures of myself, little flyers of me, little cards. You have to be your own marketing person. Your own agent, your own manager.

Even after decades in Hollywood, she isn’t waiting by the phone either; instead, she’s doing what she’s advising those under her to do—get to work but with a vision.

I don’t sit back and wait for my agents to bring me something, Whitley said. You’ve really got to push yourself in this industry and decide on what you want and how you’re going to do it.

The comedic baddie also shared some gems for those who have been in the industry for a while, noting that evolution keeps you employed.

Change your look. Don’t stay one way. We saw you at 25. You sitting here at 40 looking the same. I’m like, “Wait a minute.” You got to evolve, baby.

Whitley’s own evolution continues through live comedy, podcasting, her Whacked Out Wednesdays events in LA and, potentially, some long-overdue collaborations.

While discussing her dream collaborations, Whitley revealed she’d love to finally work in the comedy space with longtime friend Jamie Foxx and reunite creatively with members of the Wayans family.

I would love to do something with Jamie Foxx, Whitley said. I’ve been knowing Jamie for years, and I haven’t done anything with Jamie. I’m like, “Wait a minute, this is ridiculous.”

And after BOSSIP informed her about Kim Wayans’ latest sketch comedy work?

You know I’m going to text her right after we get off and be like, “Girl, what you doing?”

For now, however, Whitley wants audiences watching The Varnell Hill Show—especially if they want another season.

We want everyone to watch it. In order to get views and people to pick you up again, you got to watch it, she told BOSSIP. It is a funny show. This is not me just saying it because I’m on it, I am a fan of the show.

After decades of making audiences laugh, Whitley clearly isn’t interested in slowing down. From creating, collaborating, and evolving—as always—Kym Whitley is keeping us cracking up while she does it and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

The Varnell Hill Show is streaming now exclusively on Paramount+.

The bestselling author opened up about the upcoming fantasy film in a new interview with The Guardian, revealing that the production took a serious toll on her and saying she will “never” turn another one of her books into a movie.

Adeyemi first spoke publicly about her experience in late July, when she shared a TikTok video criticizing the adaptation. At the time, she called the production “the worst thing I have ever had to live through,” saying she spent time on set “hyperventilating and sobbing.”

She also claimed she was “still being antagonized behind the scenes.” After returning to the U.S. once filming wrapped, Adeyemi said she dealt with “severe somatic pain and so many panic attacks.”

Speaking to The Guardian about the viral TikTok, Adeyemi said she felt she had to address what happened before she could move on.

“I understood that if I didn’t speak up, I couldn’t move forward,” she said. “I can’t really worry about the response, because I don’t have to live with how people respond to me – I have to live with me, every day.”

Adeyemi has not gone into detail about what specifically happened during production, telling the publication, “I won’t go into the specifics.”

Still, she described the entire process of bringing her trilogy to the big screen as an experience that demanded everything from her.

“The whole journey of the trilogy and the adaptation felt biblical … It took all of me,” she said.

Directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood, Children of Blood and Bone boasts a star-studded cast featuring Thuso Mbedu, Damson Idris, Amandla Stenberg, Cynthia Erivo, Lashana Lynch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Regina King, Idris Elba and Viola Davis.

The casting of Stenberg also sparked discussions among fans about colorism. In Adeyemi’s books, Stenberg’s character is described as having “dark copper skin.”

In a TikTok video posted and later deleted in early July, Adeyemi appeared to share a group chat that included Stenberg. According to the Los Angeles Times, Adeyemi wrote, “Do not ever use my name in an interview or video again. Do not text me. Do not call me,” before appearing to block the actress.

When The Guardian asked Adeyemi whether she wanted to clarify her position on Stenberg’s casting, the author emphasized the difference between having creative control over her books and the filmmaking process.

“With a film, the director makes every decision. With my book I can talk about every choice down to the commas, because that’s truly in my hands,” she said. “So there’s nothing for me to add, other than the clarity that these aren’t my choices.”

Despite the anticipation surrounding the film, Adeyemi said she has no plans to see the finished product herself.

“I still don’t plan to watch it, but it’s not really for me to watch,” she said.

She echoed those same sentiments during a recent interview on GMA, calling her experience on set “the worst thing I have ever had to live through.

“There are things that occurred behind the scenes that put me in jeopardy,” calling the issues “a lot more than a creative misalignment.”

Children of Blood and Bone is scheduled to hit theaters on Jan. 15.

The brand has unveiled La Experiencia Don Julio: Hecho Por Amor, a new immersive tasting experience designed to give guests a deeper understanding of the craftsmanship, history and passion behind the tequila-making process.

Inspired by Tequila Don Julio’s La Primavera distillery in Jalisco, Mexico, the experience takes guests on a multi-sensory journey through the land, agave, people and production methods that have helped shape the brand. BOSSIP was in attendance for a special preview of the experience in Los Angeles, which provided a truly unique experience for tequila lovers.

A Legacy Built on Craftsmanship

The experience draws inspiration from founder Don Julio González, who began his tequila-making journey more than 80 years ago with a focus on quality and attention to detail.

From selecting and hand-cutting 100% Blue Weber Agave to cooking, fermenting, distilling and aging the tequila, González’s approach helped establish a high standard for tequila production and played a role in shaping the luxury tequila category.

Now, La Experiencia Don Julio is bringing that history to life for both longtime tequila enthusiasts and people who simply want to learn more about the spirit.

“Don Julio González built his legacy around a love of great tequila,” Ari Anderman, Brand Director for Tequila Don Julio North America, said in a statement. “His passion helped pioneer the category as we know it today, and we carry that same commitment to quality as stewards not only of our brand, but for tequila as a whole.”

What to Expect From La Experiencia Don Julio

The immersive experience is divided into four acts, each highlighting a different part of the Tequila Don Julio story.

Guests will first “Leave the Noise Behind” by exploring the evolving tequila landscape before entering the world of Don Julio.

From there, “Journey to Jalisco” transports visitors to the red clay agave fields of Atotonilco El Alto, where González began his tequila-making journey. Guests will learn more about the land, the agave and the methods that became central to his approach.

The third act, “Taste the Difference,” puts the focus where it belongs: on the tequila itself. Guests will sample selections from the Tequila Don Julio portfolio while learning about tequila’s flavor foundations, the impact of aging and the role innovation plays in the brand’s offerings.

Finally, “Raise Your Standard” gives guests the chance to get hands-on. Working alongside bartenders, they’ll create a personalized Tequila Don Julio cocktail before wrapping up the experience with a celebratory toast.

Bringing Tequila’s Craft to Life

Rather than simply telling the story of how its tequila is made, Tequila Don Julio says La Experiencia is designed to let guests experience the process through sight, touch, smell and taste.

The launch is also part of the brand’s broader effort to encourage greater appreciation for tequila and the craftsmanship behind the category.

“Immersive moments like La Experiencia Don Julio: Hecho Por Amor allow us to share how we make our tequila, and we hope to educate and inspire a greater appreciation for the category overall,” Anderman said.

Tequila Don Julio has not yet announced which cities will host the experience, but those interested can sign up here to be among the first to learn when La Experiencia Don Julio: Hecho Por Amor is coming to a city near them.

The Tompkins County District Attorney is now defending his office’s decision not to prosecute seven Cornell University fraternity members accused of sexually assaulting a woman in 2024, and somehow, the explanation raises almost as many questions as the original decision.

According to ABC News, DA Matthew Van Houten said the allegations were “morally disturbing,” but insisted that the evidence presented to his office at the time did not establish a prosecutable crime. His argument centers heavily on consent, saying the woman’s original statement to police indicated that she voluntarily participated in sexual activity and did not clearly communicate that she had withdrawn consent.

“She clearly consented in the beginning, and there was never any indication that she changed that to the things that she participated in,” he said. “There is a disconnect in the sense of how the community and how social media has understood this to have happened. If at any point Jane Doe had said, ‘I don’t consent to this anymore,’ or in those words, or in any form of communication. If there had been continued sexual activity, contact by these individuals, that would be a crime. But that’s not what was alleged in her statement.”

Van Houten also acknowledged that his office did not independently investigate the allegations and relied on the investigation conducted by Cornell University Police. He said prosecutors never received a group chat that the woman’s attorney now describes as critical evidence. The chat allegedly included messages involving fraternity members discussing the incident.

“But the question that we analyzed was: Did Jane Doe consent to what happened, and was she unable to consent?” he said. “I’m not clear on exactly how that was given to us, or if anyone here looked at it. That was not critical to our analysis, as I mentioned earlier. The issue was her consent, and if you take that Snapchat being vile and crude and vulgar, that did not have any relevance to the issue of whether Jane Doe consented to what was happening,”  Van Houten said.

And this is where things get particularly troubling.

The woman’s attorney, Thomas Giuffra, says his client was never properly interviewed by anyone with specialized training in investigating sexual assault. He argues that authorities were given evidence supporting her allegations but failed to follow up with her or pursue it adequately. Now, after the woman filed a civil lawsuit alleging that she was drugged, assaulted and gang raped at the Chi Phi fraternity house, the DA has reopened the case and plans to present it to a grand jury.

Van Houten says New York’s consent laws created a difficult legal hurdle, particularly because voluntarily consuming alcohol or drugs does not automatically mean someone is legally incapable of consenting. Cornell says its own investigation resulted in suspensions and expulsions, while attorneys for some of the accused men deny the allegations entirely.

So now, two years later, prosecutors are going back to examine a case they previously declined to pursue. And the biggest question may be why so much of this alleged evidence and investigation apparently wasn’t fully addressed the first time around.

Somebody got some explaining to do…

Could sparks be flying between A Different World stars Maleah Joi Moon and Cornell Young IV when the cameras aren’t rolling? Fans certainly think so after the two Hillman hotties were spotted sharing some (super) playful, flirty moments off-screen.

In the Internet-obsession-causing Netflix series, Moon, who plays Deborah Wayne—the youngest daughter of Dwayne Wayne (Kadeem Hardison)—has an on-again, off-again romance with Shaquille Johnson, played by Young, on the hit series. But lately, fans have started wondering if their onscreen chemistry might be spilling into real life. The buzz picked up after Moon and Young were spotted together at a watch party for the premiere of A Different World in Young’s hometown of St. Louis, according to TheyBF_Daily. In footage from the celebration, Moon could be seen trailing behind Young and clapping for the actor alongside his family.

None of their A Different World co-stars were seemingly present.

And then came the birthday surprise.

Young, 26, reportedly surprised Moon, 24, with a birthday cake as she had recently celebrated her big day on Sept. 23. In a video from the celebration, Young gets down on one knee while holding the cake as Moon smiles, appears shocked, and sheds a few happy tears.

She also shares a warm hug with Young’s mom, giving fans plenty to talk about.

But the internet wasn’t finished investigating.

Another video obtained by Film Updates showed Young holding Moon, with both stars flashing huge smiles.

Naturally, fans had questions—and when an A Different World fan asked Young this week if he was single, the actor didn’t exactly give a straightforward answer.

“I love my work,” he replied before letting out a big laugh. Notably, Maleah was standing nearby during the funny encounter.

Thee Houston hottie talked, in depth, about her recent life changes for Marie Claire’s September 2026 Legends Issue. While talking about her tumultuous split from Klay Thompson, she opened up about knowing it wasn’t right for her, being “constantly on edge” throughout the relationship.

“When something is meant for you, it’s gonna be easy,” she explains. “It’s gonna be right. It’s not gonna feel like a panic all the time. I feel like that’s what I was in, constantly on edge. My nervous system needed to calm down. I feel like I was in a panic 24/7. I’m still not eating all the way right. I’m feeling all the feelings. I’m not trying to take no shortcuts.”

Meg went on to admit that she ignored her intuition throughout the relationship, which spanned from mid-2025 to April 2026. When she announced their breakup on Instagram, Megan accused the NBA player of cheating as well as having “HORRIBLE mood swings.”

“Sometimes I be knowing in my gut and in my heart, then you give so much benefit of the doubt,” she told Marie Claire. “No, the gut is always right. Listen.”

Despite knowing that relationship wasn’t right for her, that doesn’t make the aftermath of the breakup hurt any less.

“I’m not pretending I’m 100 percent okay,” the rapper explains. “I ain’t never been through nothing like that in my whole life. I’ve never, ever, ever been in a relationship like that, ever. So I’m definitely not worried about another one for a long time.”

“I’m not thinking about anything romantic,” she continues. “I’m definitely not thinking about no damn relationship.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Megan also explained the incident that led to her being rushed from the theater to the hospital while performing for Moulin Rouge! The Musical.

“I thought I was having a stroke,” She says. “I wasn’t getting any oxygen to my brain, so my hands had froze. My face had froze. I was trying to tell everybody that I don’t think I’m okay. They only thought I was dehydrated.”

Before Moulin Rouge started, the performer admits, “I don’t think I was aware of how much I was going to be putting my body through.”

When she finally made it to the hospital, Megan was told she was suffering from exhaustion and having a panic attack. She made her return to the stage two days later, cut her schedule down to seven shows a week, and stopped working so much on her music on top of the show.

Now, the Houston native is doing her best to take good care of herself.

“I’m definitely trying to stay more hydrated and be more calm,” she says.

The emotional vigil came as Mosley’s grieving mother spoke about the unimaginable pain of losing her daughter and police announced a major development in the investigation: an 18-year-old suspect is now charged with her murder.

According to 11 Alive, Smyrna Police said Saturday that they believe Mosley was killed between 10 a.m. and noon on Sept. 23. Kingston Bradley, 18, is now charged with malice murder in addition to his initial charge of concealing the death of another person.

Shanteria “KT” Mosley’s Mother Speaks At Emotional Vigil

NewsOne reports that three days after her daughter’s remains were discovered, KT’s mother joined family and friends to remember the 26-year-old and spoke candidly about the devastating toll her death has taken.

“To see how I’ve seen my baby be out, I will never, ever like be the same again,” Mosley’s mother said at the vigil, according to 11Alive.

She added that even being inside her home has become difficult since losing her daughter.

“It feels so cold in my house, it’s not right, I got to sit up, I can’t even sleep in my bed,” she said.

The vigil offered Mosley’s loved ones an opportunity to remember the woman they affectionately called “KT” as more than the victim of an unthinkable crime.

Mosley’s aunt, Michelle Weaver, previously described her niece as someone known for “her smiles, laughter, and just full of joy,” adding that KT loved “being happy” and “cheering everybody day up.”

The gathering came as investigators released new information about KT’s death and the case against Bradley.

Kingston Bradley Now Charged With Malice Murder

According to 11Alive, police now believe KT was killed sometime between 10 a.m. and noon on Sept. 23.

Mosley was reported missing after her family was unable to reach her, and relatives eventually tracked her phone to the Park Valley Apartments off South Cobb Drive in Smyrna.

Her family previously told 11 Alive that they found KT’s vehicle and searched the surrounding woods and grassy areas before contacting police.

Weaver said an officer responded and asked the family where KT’s phone had last pinged.

“So we took her back to where the phone pinged,” Weaver told 11Alive. “She knocked on, like, three guys’ doors, and you know that was it.”

Smyrna Police told 11 Alive that the officer knocked on doors and spoke with people at the complex before leaving because authorities did not have information indicating that something was wrong at the time.

KT’s family, however, continued searching.

Weaver said that while looking around the complex, she spotted Bradley carrying what appeared to be a laundry bag containing a plastic tub. According to Weaver, Bradley dropped the bag after seeing her and ran.

“All we see is the boy,” Weaver said. “Throwing a bag, like something with a cloth. It’s like a bag kind of cloth, like maybe a laundry bag, and it had like a container in it. He kind of threw it and he ran.”

According to 11Alive, an arrest warrant stated that a dismembered torso was discovered inside the tub. KT’s family said they immediately recognized her by her tattoos.

Weaver has disputed any suggestion that police discovered her niece’s remains, maintaining that the family should never have been left to search the apartment complex alone.

“Don’t say y’all found her,” Weaver previously told 11Alive. “Her family found her. Y’all didn’t do nothing. Y’all left us. You guys left us to do it ourselves.”

Police Discover Additional Suspected Remains

The investigation has since led authorities to additional remains.

According to 11Alive, detectives searched a vehicle Friday night and discovered garbage bags containing body parts that investigators believe belong to Mosley.

Police said they did not receive any noise complaints or suspicious calls Wednesday in the area where KT’s remains were discovered. Authorities said people have since come forward with information and urged anyone who saw or heard anything between 10 a.m. and noon on Sept. 23 to contact investigators. Tipsters can remain anonymous.

As police continue piecing together the circumstances surrounding KT’s death, her loved ones are making sure the 26-year-old is remembered for the life she lived rather than solely for the horrific way it ended.

Saturday’s candles and balloons served as a tribute to the mother, sister, and friend whose family said was full of laughter, happiness, and an ability to brighten the days of those around her.

During an interview with CNN‘s Audie Cornish, the singer, actress, and serial hustler broke her silence on Tucker’s plan to reveal intimate details about what occurred in their marriage.

“He’s tried to pitch the show multiple times,” Burruss said. “They did not choose to do it.”

Cornish admitted that she was not sold on the concept—which also includes a cast of men who were once involved with previous and current housewives, namely Apollo Nida, Peter Thomas, Ralph Pittman Jr. and Dennis McKinley—and thought that the beauty of the Housewives franchise was that it was told through the lens of the women.

An assertion that Burruss agreed with, naming it as one of the reasons networks had passed on the idea.

“The man who shall not be named—Kandi’s former partner—has a new project,” Cornish said. “Not to be a hater, but I really don’t want to see the men. One of the things I loved about Real Housewives, it was centering the story of women. Many over the age of 40. And I didn’t really want to know about the dudes on the side.”

Tucker previously confirmed that the show was passed on by Bravo, telling Ryan Cameron Uncensored that the original concept included former #RHOA husbands Bob Whitfield and Kroy Biermann.

“Let me tell you the real: I wrote this show probably four years ago for them [the divorced husbands of The Real Housewives of Atlanta],” he said.

“They turned it down because they gotta protect their brand, right?” he said. “I pitched it a couple other places. Nobody picked it up. I always thought it was a good show.”

Kandi Talks Her One-Woman Show

Kandi was also asked to speak to the criticism that many had around her being allowed to give her version of events by way of her one-woman show, I Do, I Did, I’m Done, though she says the two perspectives are vastly different.

“I think the answer or the reply to it is, ‘Oh, she did her own one-woman show,'” she said. “But what people don’t realize about the one-woman show is, we took people’s phones. I purposely did it in intimate crowds. You would have to know somebody that went or who was there to be a part of it.”

The interview came on the heels of Tucker sharing intimate details about their sex life as husband and wife, a move that many found to be low-hanging fruit to help promote the failed production.

“A man who has already hurt me to my core is furthering the damage by choosing to sensationalize our sex life to stretch his five minutes of fame,” Burruss said at the time. “What consensually happens between a husband and wife in the privacy of their marriage is exactly that—private.”

Fans of the one-time couple have been split on the matter of what the public now gets to know about their relationship, with some feeling like Todd has the right to share as much as Kandi does while others point to the former being the cause of the split as the reason why he should count his losses and shut up for now.

Either way, Kandi continues to bring in them dollars as I Do, I Did, I’m Done started off with just a few cities and expanded to over 10 due to popular demand.

Ellington, played by Vincent Jamal Hooper, enters the series as a student and teaching assistant who gets close to the reboot’s lead, Deborah Wayne. But underneath the romance drama is a major Huxtable connection.

The Theo Connection

In one of the season’s most meaningful moments, Ellington talks about struggling in school before discovering that he had dyslexia. His uncle recognized what was happening and helped him get diagnosed.

That storyline mirrors Theo Huxtable — played by the late Malcolm Jamal Warner — whose own learning disability was explored during The Cosby Show. Theo struggled academically in college before his family realized that dyslexia was affecting him. According to PEOPLE, the revival’s nod to Theo has felt especially poignant following Warner’s death at 54 in 2025.

And that was only the beginning.

Ellington Is A Huxtable

Later in the season, Ellington reveals that his last name is Kendall, connecting him directly to his mom, Denise Huxtable, the character originally played by Lisa Bonet and the reason A Different World existed in the first place.

According to TV Insider, the show also reveals that his grandmother Clair Huxtable (Phylicia Rashad) was involved in Hillman’s history, organizing sit-ins and pushing the school toward a more Afrocentric curriculum. PEOPLE notes that the storyline echoes an episode of The Cosby Show where Clair Huxtable discussed similar Hillman activism.

So yes, Ellington is Denise’s son. The new series just casually dropped a whole family tree into the finale.

Vincent Jamal Hooper Was Just As Shook

Vincent Jamal Hooper found out about the reveal almost like the rest of us did.

Speaking with TV Insider, Hooper said writer Des Moran told him shortly before filming began that he had a secret about his character, and he was shocked to learn what it was.

“We had a Super Bowl party like the day before we started shooting, and I was talking to Felicia [Pride], our showrunner, and Des [Moran], one of our writers, and Des was like, ‘Hey, I have a secret! Like a reveal for your character later in the season.’ And I was like, ‘What is it? Should I know?’ So he consulted Felicia, who was like, ‘Yeah, tell him.’

And he was like, ‘Yeah, you’re a Huxtable.’ I was like, ‘Sorry. What?’ That’s crazy,” shared Hooper.

Hooper also told the outlet that for season two, he hopes his character’s mother shows up. If Denise does return, Hillman might have another generation of Huxtable history waiting in the wings.

For now, Ellington has already given A Different World a fresh connection to its past while honoring Malcolm-Jamal Warner’s Theo in a way longtime fans can appreciate.

The actor is preparing to give fans full access to his massive, unconventional family in a new Netflix docuseries, and he says he’s not holding anything back.

“People have been fascinated with my lifestyle for quite some time, so instead of letting them make up stuff, I’m gonna give you everything,” Cannon, 45, told Us Weekly in an interview.

The Masked Singer host has spent years as a subject of public curiosity over how he manages fatherhood across multiple households, and he feels it’s finally time to set the record straight himself instead of letting outsiders speculate.

Premiering this winter, Us Weekly reports that the docuseries promises to show the “raw” and “real” side of Cannon’s life as a father of 12.

“I think we’re being more open and more vulnerable, and coming from you know a very unorthodox setting,” he said.

That “unorthodox setting” includes Nick Cannon’s kids spread across five households: twins Moroccan and Monroe, 15, with ex-wife Mariah Carey; sons Golden, 9, and Rise, 4, and daughter Powerful, 5, with Brittany Bell; twins Zion and Zillion, 5, and daughter Beautiful, 3, with Abby De La Rosa; son Legendary, 4, with Selling Sunset’s Bre Tiesi; and daughter Onyx, 4, with LaNisha Cole.

Cannon also shares daughter Halo, 3, with Alyssa Scott. The pair welcomed son Zen in 2021, who tragically died at just five months old from a rare form of brain cancer. Cannon feels the docuseries will show a side of his family life that people don’t expect.

“I think people will be really surprised how there’s so much love there,” he said, describing the emotional depth behind the headlines about his ever-growing family.

Nick Cannon’s Kids’ Mothers Were Hesitant To Let Cameras Into Their Homes

Not everyone was immediately eager to let cameras into their lives.

Us Weekly reports that Cannon admitted that some of the mothers of his children had reservations about exposing themselves and their kids to more public scrutiny.

“They were like, ‘Why are we letting cameras into our homes?'” he recalled. “I think that everybody’s very comfortable with just keeping their peace. But everybody said that they would do it for me, so I’m appreciative of that.”

Cannon also opened up about how filming changes the way his family communicates. He said documenting his life “makes you have a lot of those challenging and uncomfortable conversations that you might not have had if you didn’t [have cameras rolling] because the world is watching.” That kind of built-in accountability, he suggested, has already reshaped conversations at home before the series even premieres.

As for his own nerves, Cannon insists he doesn’t have any heading into the release.

“I’m built for this,” he said confidently. His bigger concern is for the people around him, since raising Nick Cannon’s kids in the public eye wasn’t something they necessarily chose for themselves.

“They didn’t really sign up or ask for this,” he admitted. “So I’m just praying that they all handle it very well because, or to the best of their ability, because it’s going to be a lot.”

Still, Cannon says he’s genuinely curious how audiences will react once they see the full picture. “I want to know what they have to say because there are no secrets and nothing to hide,” he said.

The docuseries is expected to hit Netflix this winter.

Rick Ross’ ex, Tia Kemp, has spoken out after the rapper’s most recent girlfriend, Jazzma Kendrick, accused him of physically assaulting her.

Kendrick recently shared a series of social media posts detailing the alleged incident, including photos showing an injury to her lip. She claimed that Ross had treated her like a “punching bag” and said the alleged assault ultimately led her to leave the relationship.

Kemp, who shares a son with Ross, responded to the allegations with a message encouraging women to leave situations when they no longer feel safe and to maintain their own financial independence.

Jazzma Kendrick Details Alleged Assault

Kendrick shared her allegations on Instagram Stories Saturday, Sept. 26. In one post, a fan complimented her appearance and wrote, “I’m seeing what Rick is seeing your so gorgeous.”

Kendrick reposted the message and added, “He saw a punching bag.”

She followed up with a close-up photo of her lip and cheek, writing, “The day Rick busted my lip and the day I left.”

In another selfie, Kendrick pulled up her top lip to show a dark bruise and bump. She wrote, “I don’t know a lot of things, but I do know that a man put his hands on me, is a man that never loved me and never will.”

Kendrick also shared a message encouraging other women to take allegations of physical abuse seriously.

“It’s always good until it isn’t. If a man hits you one time, he will do it again. Don’t give him the opportunity. Value your life and leave,” she wrote.

Tia Kemp Responds

After The Shade Room shared Kendrick’s allegations, Kemp left a comment reflecting on her own experience of leaving a relationship and encouraged women not to remain in a situation simply because of a lavish lifestyle.

Kemp and Ross share 21-year-old son Williams Robert III. The former couple dated from 2003 to 2007.

“Ladies when that man say go home…lawdddd…That ride home with garbage bags of your clothes n that backseat hurts trust me…it hurts! That’s all. They want to b n the mansion 4ever…..go home baby….and keep a job,” Kemp wrote.

Kemp later addressed the situation during a live video, where she continued to encourage women to leave when it is time to go. She also questioned Kendrick’s account of the alleged assault and suggested that security footage from Ross’ home could potentially shed light on what happened.

“You punched your f—ing self! He ain’t whooped this a– since… 2006. He don’t touch a* no more.”

Kemp further suggested that Kendrick should not expect to receive money from Ross’ estate, while making several disparaging comments about her.

“I told your fat a** stop playing with these prostituting, ex-prostituting, tricking h**s…didn’t I, Willy? Didn’t I? Girl, if you think you finna get off of any of that estate. B**ch we gon’ settle out with you for some Wingstop wings or something. We ain’t got no money for you girl,” Kemp said.

She also revealed that she had a week off and was planning to check on Ross.

Kendrick Thanks Those Who Reached Out

Following the public response to her allegations, Kendrick returned to social media to thank people who had contacted her with support. With this response, she seems to be ignoring–at least, publicly–Kemp’s statements.

In a statement shared Monday, Sept. 28, Kendrick said the alleged incident occurred about a month ago. She also said the response she has received since speaking publicly about the situation has reinforced her decision to leave.

Rick Ross has not yet responded to Kendrick’s allegations.
