After redefining appointment TV with her culture-shifting Power universe, famed writer/producer Courtney Kemp is back with sleek new crime thriller Nemesis which takes her addictive formula to another level on the world’s biggest streaming platform.

Returning to the streaming spotlight is Y’lan Noel (Insecure) who stars opposite versatile Abbott Elementary star Matthew Law in Kemp’s first project since singing a massive 8-figure overall deal with Netflix.

“I am incredibly excited to join the Netflix family, and to continue to develop the kind of entertainment that End of Episode is known for– diverse, multilingual, watercooler, social-media fueled series that pack a serious punch,” said Kemp about the deal, per DEADLINE.

In Nemesis, an expert criminal faces off against a brilliant police detective in the buzzy series that aims to subvert the heist genre while exploring what drives us, sustains us, and ultimately destroys us.

Directed by Mario Van Peebles (Eps 101/102), Millicent Shelton (Eps 103/104), Rob Hardy (Eps 105/106), and Ruben Garcia (Eps 107/108), the series also stars Cleopatra Coleman and Gabrielle Dennis along with a slew of recognizable faces including Domenick Lombardozzi and Michael Potts from The Wire.

With an opening scene (directed by Peebles) that pays homage to Peebles-directed classic New Jack City, it’s clear Nemesis is operating at a different creative frequency than other crime dramas in the streaming space.

“That was surreal, man,” said Noel about the opening scene. “Because we have thee guy who created that telling us everything that went into [New Jack City] and telling me to embody Wesley Snipes a little more–that was crazy!”

At the heart of the chaos is the screen-smoldering rivalry between Noel’s Coltrane Wilder–a slippery criminal mastermind with dreams of getting out the game before crossing paths with hotshot detective Isiah Stiles in a tragic moment that sets Nemesis in motion.

“Y’lan had the role. He was Coltrane Wilder, and I was coming in to audition–I can say it was exceptional because this is the highest level of artist right here,” said Lawrence about meeting Noel for the first time.

“His warmth as the man that he is and as a collaborator was instant. I walked in this room where I don’t know nobody and my life could change in the next five minutes. This man has a job. I don’t. He didn’t have to be warm to me and was fresh from New York and I can only imagine how tired he was but he dapped me up and was like, ‘what can I do to help?’

“So, this is a great dude! That being said, once I got the role he didn’t talk to me (laughs). I had the best coworker because, as Nemesis, we’re in the art and on the job, we’re there, we’re on opposing corners, and we’re doing our thing.”

Holding Coltrane and Isiah down are two dynamic Black women–Coltrane’s wife Ebony who’s ready for life after crime and Isiah’s wife Candice who’s desperately trying to reconnect with her work-obsessed husband.

In sweet moments between the explosive action, Ebony and Candice humanize the men in their lives who appear destined for an ending that neither can escape the deeper they spiral into their beef.

“It was just nice to see a reflection of a lot of women, especially in her age and her space and career,” said Dennis about playing the lovesick Candice in the series.

“She’s reaching out for something that she just can’t get a hold of with her family… I think a lot of women–we give so much to a relationship or so much to a career or so much to our children. You get lost in that, and become the title of a mom or the title of a wife or the title of whatever that is.”

“So, I think for me, it’s great that I think all of the women in the show get a chance to represent, above and beyond, more than what they do for a living.”

Gun violence is putting our Black youth at serious risk in America and something has to be done.

Ahmad Hardy, one of college football’s rising stars and a standout running back for the Missouri Tigers, is recovering after being shot during a concert in Laurel, Mississippi, early Sunday morning. According to reports from CNN, Hardy underwent surgery shortly after the incident and is now listed in stable condition. School officials said he is alert and moving around as doctors continue monitoring his recovery. Missouri Athletics released a statement expressing support for Hardy and his family, calling him “deeply loved” by teammates, coaches, friends and fans. The university also said there is currently no timeline for his return to football activities.  

“Ahmad underwent surgery Sunday in Mississippi and is in stable condition,” the statement read. “Ahmad is deeply loved by his teammates, coaches, friends, family and fans. We will continue to stand beside him and his family through this difficult time, offering our love, prayers, strength and support.”

Authorities in Mississippi are still investigating the shooting, which reportedly happened during a concert that turned chaotic after gunfire erupted. Police have reportedly detained multiple people for questioning as the investigation continues.  

The news is sending shockwaves through the college football world because Hardy has quickly become one of the nation’s top running backs. The Mississippi native first made a name for himself at Louisiana–Monroe Warhawks, where he won Sun Belt Freshman of the Year honors before transferring to Missouri. In his first season with the Tigers, Hardy exploded onto the national scene by rushing for more than 1,600 yards and 16 touchdowns while earning first-team All-SEC and All-American recognition. He also became a finalist for the prestigious Doak Walker Award.

Just when fans thought Larry David had finally exhausted every awkward social interaction imaginable on Curb Your Enthusiasm, the comedy legend has found a brand-new playground: American history.

David is officially returning to HBO this summer with a bizarre and brilliant-sounding sketch comedy miniseries titled Life, Larry and the Pursuit of Unhappiness: An Almost History of America. And because this project apparently wasn’t ambitious enough already, David is teaming up with none other than former President Barack Obama.

Produced through Obama’s Higher Ground Productions banner, the six-episode series will reportedly blend America’s biggest historical moments with the same uncomfortable energy, petty arguments, and social disasters that made Curb a cultural phenomenon. According to longtime Larry David collaborator Jeff Schaffer, the show is essentially “Curb in costume,” which honestly tells viewers everything they need to know.

The series will reportedly avoid a traditional script-heavy format. Instead, actors will work from scene outlines and improvise most of their dialogue, allowing the cast to create the kind of painfully hilarious exchanges that have defined David’s comedy for decades. In other words, expect the Founding Fathers to argue over nonsense with the same passion most people reserve for politics or sports.

The cast itself is stacked with comedy heavyweights. Familiar Curb faces like J.B. Smoove and Susie Essman are returning, while stars like Bill Hader and Kathryn Hahn are joining the madness. Essman is even set to portray women’s rights icon, Susan B. Anthony.

Still, the biggest surprise may be Obama himself stepping in front of the camera to appear opposite David in at least one sketch. The idea of the famously cool former president trying to survive inside Larry David’s anxiety-ridden universe feels almost too perfect to fail.

With its mix of improvisation, satire and historical absurdity, Life, Larry and the Pursuit of Unhappiness already feels like one of the most unpredictable TV events of the year. The series premieres June 26 on HBO, and honestly, America may never recover.

As ESSENCE reported, Heaven graduated from Woodward Academy, a private college-preparatory school in Atlanta, also attended by recent graduate Major Harris, with a perfect 4.0 GPA. Heaven will attend The Mecca, Howard University in the fall as a criminology major, following in her mother’s footsteps after her mother’s degree in criminal justice. Howard is, of course, one of the most competitive and celebrated HBCUs in the country, and Heaven earned her spot there the right way, through four years of excellence.

After his daughter walked across the stage, 2 Chainz took to social media and, in a viral Instagram reel, he danced alongside his baby, Heaven, with such pride. 

“My beautiful baby Heaven graduated high school today with a 4.0. I’m so proud right now,” he captioned the reel.

U.S. District Judge Colleen McMahon issued a forceful 143 page ruling Thursday, May 8, declaring DOGE’s review process unconstitutional. Examples include terminating more than $100 million in humanities grants that supported projects tied to African American history, Holocaust education, women’s studies, Native American history, and other historically marginalized narratives.

“There can be no serious dispute that the review process implemented by DOGE did not conform to, or even resemble, NEH’s ordinary grant review process,” McMahon wrote, according to ABC News.

The ruling portrays a legal rebuke to both Musk’s purported federal cost cutting initiative and the anti-DEI agenda that intensified after President Donald Trump’s return to office.

ChatGPT And DEI Keywords At Center Of Federal Cuts

ABC News reports that depositions from former DOGE staffers Justin Fox and Nate Cavanaugh revealed staff used ChatGPT alongside targeted DEI related keywords such as “DEI,” “Equity,” “Inclusion,” “BIPOC,” and “LGBTQ” to identify grants for elimination.

Judge McMahon sharply condemned that strategy, ruling DOGE “blatantly used protected characteristics as criteria for grant termination.”

According to People, Fox directly copied and pasted ChatGPT generated “DEI rationales” into spreadsheets that became the basis for terminating roughly 1,400 federal grants between April 1 and April 3, 2025.

“The Government cannot escape liability for DOGE’s work by scapegoating ChatGPT,” McMahon wrote, according to People. “The Government cannot treat AI output as the act of some independent, intervening actor.”

Black History, Holocaust Education, And Marginalized Voices Targeted

Judge McMahon’s ruling showcases the disproportionate elimination of projects centered on Black civil rights history, Jewish Holocaust testimony, Asian American experiences, Native American children, and women-focused scholarship.

“Treating Black civil rights history, Jewish testimony about the Holocaust, the oft forgotten Asian American experience, the shameful treatment of the children of Native tribes, or the mere mention of a woman as a marker of lack of merit or wastefulness is not lawful,” McMahon wrote.

People further reports that among the terminated grants was funding for a documentary on the Colfax Massacre, the 1873 slaughter of Black Louisianans by former Confederates and Ku Klux Klan members during Reconstruction. Court documents showed ChatGPT flagged the project as DEI related due to its focus on anti-Black violence.

Holocaust education projects centered on Jewish women survivors were also cut, prompting McMahon to call the government’s actions “deeply troubling” amid rising antisemitism.

Humanities Organizations Celebrate Landmark Decision

The American Council of Learned Societies, one of the nonprofit groups that challenged DOGE’s cuts, praised the ruling as a critical victory.

“The humanities are not a luxury. They are how a democracy understands itself,” ACLS President Joy Connolly said in a statement.

Though DOGE staffers argued their actions were designed to reduce the federal deficit, ABC News noted Cavanaugh later admitted under oath that DOGE did not actually reduce the deficit.

Critics are also raising serious constitutional questions about the role of artificial intelligence in government policy making.

During an appearance on The TMZ Podcast, the Wild ‘N Out host who’s known not to take himself too seriously, shared that he planned to spend the holiday honoring his own mother, Beth Gardner, since it wasn’t “baby mama’s day.”

“I’m spending time with my mother,” Nick, 45, shared during the episode.

On May 10, Cannon shared a heartfelt Instagram photo of himself embracing his mother while the two smiled for the camera. In the background, a childhood photo of Nick standing beside Beth added an extra sentimental touch, highlighting their close bond.

He also posted another image alongside the caption:

“I would pick my Mother to be my Mother again and again in every lifetime.”

Still, Cannon explained that he always makes sure his children’s mothers feel appreciated on the special day. The comedian, who shares children with Mariah Carey, Brittany Bell, Abby De La Rosa, Bre Tiesi, LaNisha Cole, and Alyssa Scott, said he helps his kids choose thoughtful presents for their moms.

“I appreciate them, but they get stuff from the kids,” Nick explained. “I try to make whatever the gift is custom [and] that the kids are a part of it, but it’s always nice. They’re not gonna get the same thing because they ain’t got the same kids.”

Although Mother’s Day tends to be smooth sailing for Cannon, he admitted that Valentine’s Day is a much more complicated occasion for him.

It’s Valentine’s Day,” he shared with the hosts of The TMZ Podcast. “Ironically, it is Father’s Day because all the kids want to [spend time with me]. But Mother’s Day, I spend it with my mama or my grandma.”

Before Mother’s Day, Nick Cannon traded some playful but harsh jabs with DDG on the Wild ‘N Out Live Tour.

Just one day before Mother’s Day, on May 9, Cannon brought the energy to his Wild ‘N Out Live Tour stop at the United Theatre on Broadway in Los Angeles, as part of the annual Netflix Is A Joke Fest. During the show’s signature Wild Style rap battle segment, Nick and fellow entertainer DDG exchanged playful but sharp jokes about their personal lives and baby mama drama.

DDG kicked things off with a brutal punchline, saying:

“Nick doing this show to pay child support. But he really should wild ‘n abort,” he said.

Cannon laughed off the joke before firing back with a reference to DDG’s ex, Halle Bailey.

On Monday, May 11, Peacock announced that breakout Summer House star Ciara Miller and internet personality Tefi Pessoa will be the new hosts of Love Island USA’s companion series, Aftersun.

The network announced the move during NBCUniversal’s 2026 Upfront Presentation earlier today, welcoming both women to the fold after announcing the departure of host and former Love Island star Maura Higgins.

Aftersun serves as an after-show to Love Island, where the hosts discuss the latest developments on the reality show, talk with dumped Islanders after their exit, and offer panel discussions as relationships form and crumble in the villa. Ariana Madix, who got her role after a breakout season on Vanderpump Rules, will return as host when season 8 of Love Island USA returns on Tuesday, June 2

As reported by People, Pessoa previously hosted Prime Video’s talk show, Influenced, in 2024. As for Miller, she’s currently adding a lot to her resume following a breakout year on Summer House. Both she and Higgins were recently announced as contestants for season 35 of ABC’s Dancing with the Stars.

While it’s unclear if Miller will return for season 11 of Summer House, she will appear in the upcoming reunion for the show’s 10th season on Bravo.

Ciara was already a Summer House favorite, but this year, she reached a new celebrity status, thanks to a scandal at her expense. The model and former ICU nurse previously dated housemate West Wilson, but earlier this year, it was revealed that West and one of Ciara’s best friends, Amanda Batula, were having a fling behind her back.

Back in April, the reality star posed for Glamour and broke her silence on the scandal, saying, “Just know when something’s weird in your gut, there’s a reason.”

After weeks of online speculation, Batula and Wilson confirmed that they had begun a relationship, issuing a joint statement about where they stand.

At Netflix’s roast of Kevin Hart this weekend, the actor and comedian’s longtime nemesis, Katt Williams, came out as a surprise guest. This moment served as the end to their years-long public feud, but only after Williams threw out several jokes at Hart’s expense.

“I’m surprised they invited me,” Williams began after being introduced by Regina Hall. “That’s how little star power you have. They had to start inviting your enemies. I said, ‘I hate him.’ They said, ‘Come anyway.’”

In 2024, the comedians’ feud reached a peak when Williams accused Hart of being an industry plant, claiming that he stole movie roles from him. However, things began years earlier, when in 2017, Williams dissed Tiffany Haddish’s comedy career ahead of her and Hart’s 2018 movie, Night School. At the time, Hart came to Haddish’s defense and threw some jabs at Williams.

“Very humble of me to be at your GOAT roast tonight,” Williams continued. “Kevin, I’ve won an Emmy Award, but this is going to be my best acting tonight as I pretend like you are a GOAT for the people at home. You’re wondering, why is the Katt man doing this for the money? B***h, this is my Riyadh Comedy Festival…only one with a soul.”

In 2025, Hart and multiple other comedians were heavily criticized for performing in Saudi Arabia at the Riyadh Comedy Festival. Throughout the night, multiple other roasters poked fun at Hart—and other comedians onstage—for taking part in the controversial event.

“But for those of you just joining us, Kevin and I have beef, and I’ll tell you why,” Katt explained to the audience at home. “Because, privately, this motherf***er stole everything from me. Before he saw my act, he was a 6-foot man. I tried to tell y’all that Kevin Hart was a plant, because I keep burying him. He keeps springing back the f**k up, just like a plant.”

The comedian continued, “Yes, I said some things I’d like to take back, some things I said were misunderstood. I did say that he was a Hollywood puppet, and I want to explain that because it might not be what you think. I meant that the head of Netflix literally has his whole hand up Kevin’s a** and can make him do anything.”

After a few minutes of relentless roasting, Hart extended an olive branch to Williams, giving him a handshake before hugging him.

“Me and this man have been at odds for years on years,” Hart told the audience. “You coming out here, quite the f***ing surprise. But Katt, I can sit, I can watch you, I can laugh because I’m a f***ing fan first. Katt, we have an opportunity in real time. This is live television to put our f***ing beef behind us. Regardless of that olive branch, Hart still had tons of shade to throw Katt’s way during his own set at the end of his roast.

“Katt said tonight that I took all his movies that he turned down. All right, let’s unpack it,” Hart began. “Katt, you’re telling me you turned down Jumanji 1, 2, 3, Ride Along 1, 2, Central Intelligence, Think Like a Man 1, 2, The Upside, About Last Night, Me Time, Borderlands, Man From Toronto…So you could do a cameo in Norbit? What the f**k are you telling me? Katt, you can’t be in my f***ing movies. You think they want a f***ing pimp in Jumanji?”

In the end, however, Hart insisted that he and Williams’ feud was over.

Positioned among palm trees on the president’s South Florida golf property, the massive gold leaf sculpture depicts Trump raising his fist in the air. This is a mirror image of a now infamous image from Trump’s survival of a July 13, 2024, assassination attempt in Butler, Pa.

The statue was introduced to a crowd of supporters as both a patriotic monument and a spiritual symbol.

The Independent states that Burns, a member of Pastors for Trump and one of Trump’s most vocal religious surrogates, emphasized that the display was not intended as religious idolatry.

“Let me be clear: this is not a golden calf,” Burns said on Instagram about the dedication. “This statue is a celebration of life. It is a symbol of resilience, freedom, patriotism, strength, and the willpower to keep fighting for the future of America.”

He continued,

“It also stands as a reminder of the hand of God and His protection over President Trump’s life. Time and time again, when his life was threatened, God’s mercy prevailed.”

Trump Calls In As Ceremony Frames Statue As Divine Symbol

The Independent reports that at one point in the ceremony, Burns held his phone to the microphone as Trump addressed attendees directly.

“I want to thank Mark Burns, a pastor, he’s a good pastor, he’s a good man,” Trump said by phone. “I want to thank everybody there. I know it was done from love.”

The timing of the unveiling has also sparked comparisons to pop culture. This week’s episode of Prime Video’s The Boys featured a golden statue of Homelander, played by Antony Starr, with the fictional tribute debuting just days before the real-life installation in Florida.

Eric Kripke, the show’s executive producer and showrunner, acknowledged the parallel on Instagram, sharing a meme that placed the two statues side by side and writing, “Seriously, what the f***?”

Laz Alonso, who stars in the series, also weighed in, commenting, “Someone had to have leaked our scripts to them.”

The unveiling also sparked outrage across social media, with figures like Keith Olbermann criticizing both the statue and Pastor Burns.

Pastor Mark Burns Defends Statue

On Instagram, Burns continued to boast about dedicating the statue, while emphasizing that the moment was not about idol worship.

“This statue was not created for worship. It was created as a symbol of resilience, patriotism, courage, and gratitude. It was created to honor a man whom many may disagree with, but millions of Americans believe has done extraordinary things to make this nation stronger,” he wrote.

He continued,

“People celebrate athletes, musicians, entertainers, and cultural icons while they are still alive. Michael Jordan has a statue in Chicago. Cristiano Ronaldo, Taylor Swift, Shakira, Ed Sheeran, and many others have been honored publicly in different ways. Yet Christians were not screaming “golden calf” over those moments.”

Crypto Investors And “Don Colossus” Add Another Layer

The Daily Beast reports that the statue, nicknamed “Don Colossus,” was funded by a group of cryptocurrency investors connected to the $PATRIOT meme coin. 

The outlet adds that it cost about $450,000 and was commissioned as part of a broader effort to increase visibility for the pro-Trump digital currency project.

Sculptor Alan Cottrill, who created the bronze likeness, told The Daily Beast he proposed an additional $60,000 gold leaf coating after sensing Trump’s well-documented affinity for gilded aesthetics.

“They loved the idea, of course,” Cottrill said. “It’s like pitching ice water to a man dying of thirst.”

Trump’s Gold Brand Continues Beyond The Statue

According to The Daily Beast, the statue aligns with Trump’s increasingly visible embrace of gold-themed branding across his presidency, from redesign choices inside the Oval Office to gold-framed presidential displays and luxury-branded initiatives like proposed “Trump Gold Cards.”

The Doral unveiling, however, may represent one of the boldest visual manifestations yet of Trump’s image as both political figure and larger-than-life icon.

Burns called the dedication “far more than a ribbon cutting,” according to The Daily Beast, describing it instead as “a visible sign of a movement.”

With Latto’s album set to feature 17 tracks, the project is being positioned as a farewell. Since Latto is currently pregnant and expecting her first child, presumably with 21 Savage, many insiders believe her decision to step away is rooted in a desire to focus entirely on motherhood.

For many fans who grew up watching the Harris family on reality TV, seeing baby boy Major in a cap and gown was a full-circle moment. Tiny took to Instagram to share the news, posting a video of the ceremony with his siblings, including Heiress, holding a giant cutout of his face, and cheering him on from the crowd.

Since his days on reality TV, Major has emerged as a brilliant, tech-savvy teenager, and his graduation ceremony proved exactly why. As he walked across the stage, a school official read out a long list of accolades that highlighted his hard work and dedication.

“Gold Eagle, Academic Honors, Savannah College of Art and Design, Academic Honors, Achievement Scholars, Student Recognition Scholarship,” the announcer said as Major accepted his diploma. Tiny was clearly beaming with pride, noting that the entire class of 288 graduates finished with scholarships.

“Big congratulations to my youngest son @majorpharris, but the biggest boss of the family,” Tiny captioned her video. “Major it has been one of the greatest moments to see u pull thru like we all knew u would.”

She also took a moment to reflect on T.I.’s late sister, Precious Harris, who passed away in 2019. Tiny mentioned that Precious would have been proud to see her baby walk with such high honors.

Major Harris Is All Grown Up

One of the most viral memories of Major Harris involves him as a toddler drawing on his parents’ white couch during an early episode of The Family Hustle. Seeing that same little boy now graduating high school made the internet aunties and uncles proud.

“I’m bout to cry, Major went from drawing on the white couch to walking the stage,” one user wrote on The Shade Room.

While many of his siblings have pursued careers in the music industry, Major has spent much of his time focusing on his education and his growing interest in the arts. Earlier this year, Tiny opened up about watching him perform in a school play, admitting she was shocked by his natural talent.

“He had this accent the whole time and he did so good. He was singing too… it was crazy to see my baby in a whole new light,” she said.

The graduation comes just weeks after BOSSIP reported Major’s stylish senior prom sendoff. He stepped out in a classic double-breasted suit with a turquoise pocket square that perfectly matched his date’s teal gown. The Harris family sent him off in true Atlanta royalty fashion, complete with fireworks and giant “PROM” letters outside their home.

Now that the high school chapter is officially closed, Major is headed to the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in the fall, according to BCK.

Lauren Speed-Hamilton and Cameron Hamilton, beloved alums from the first season of Love Is Blind, welcomed a precious baby boy named Ezra William Hamilton on Oct. 1, 2025, after facing fertility issues for four years. Ezra arrived a bit early due to Lauren experiencing preeclampsia, according to the couple’s Instagram post. 

Speaking exclusively with People, Lauren, 37, revealed that the arrival of their son, who weighed in at 5 lbs., 15 oz., and made their long and emotional fertility journey “worth it.”

Cameron, 35, echoed her joy and reflected on the surreal nature of finally holding their baby after years of trying to conceive.

“It still feels surreal that we have a son after four years of trying to conceive,” he shared. “That said, the 4 a.m. feedings and diaper changes have definitely made it feel more real. I’m grateful for it all.”

On May 6, Speed-Hamilton took to Instagram to share that she was excited to celebrate her first Mother’s Day and to share a few lessons she’s learned since becoming a mother. She said confidence and taking care of herself are a must.

Despite a jury deciding that Diggs was not guilty on assault and felony strangulation charges, Chef Jamila “Mila” Adams took to social media with “receipts” about the pair’s relationship. Though there is no admittance or accusation from either her or Diggs about any physical altercation, the texts seems to establish that their relationship had quite a few loose strings, including other women he was seeing.

She even had a message for Cardi B’s braider, who seemed to have worked for Stefon for a bit as well when the two were dating, claiming that Xia Charles was aware of the physical assault that she alleges took place at the hands of Diggs. During the trial, Xia was called to testify on the behalf of Diggs. She refuted Mila’s claims.

Chef Mila seems to be doubling down on her accusations, as she says the text messages were entered into evidence but not used to prove that Diggs refused to pay her for the work she did for him. However, the messages seem to indicate that she was asking for him to make good on a promise to invest in her business after their working and personal relationship came to an end. Nonetheless, she says she will not be quiet about her experience with Diggs.

“I know what I lived through. He knows what happened. And the people who know him know the truth too,” she said in an IG caption. “These texts were submitted into evidence but not addressed. Let’s stop the scorn[ed] woman narrative. I didn’t come this far to stay quiet. And I won’t be quiet.”

For Xia, Mia had more pointed words, as she claimed that the hairstylist knew about the assault. She posted a series of WhatsApp messages between the two of them in which she repeatedly refers to Diggs as a “master manipulator” but never brings up the alleged assault.

“His manipulation didn’t work on me, @xia.charl3s you had a Excellent performance,” Mia wrote in an IG caption. “He came thru you to get to me when he was not suppose to, Just no honesty! You know I didn’t say those things to you! I was not ok, when I agreed to meet, I wanted a understanding of why. Biggest regret. Instead he says 100k for a statement his agent Adisa wrote & sent it to you, wanting me to recant my statement! To lie & say it didn’t happen. I did not Lie!!!  He knows what he did. Xia You know what he did.” 

Xia responded to both Mila’s in-trial allegation that she, too, was having a sexual relationship with Diggs as well as her latest IG claims by posting a story of her doing Cardi’s hair. The video also had the caption,

“The World: you did Cardi so wrong, meanwhile….y’all are about as slow as molasses going uphill.”

Xia also was seen kissing a man at the start of the story. One who Cardi addressed and had kind words for as he left the braid shop. Seems like everything is cool between the two of them.

During an exclusive conversation with BOSSIP’s Lauryn Bass ahead of Xscape: The Mother’s Day Love Affair at Atlanta’s historic Fox Theatre on May 10, Kandi Burruss, Tameka “Tiny” Harris, and Tamika Scott made it clear that their hometown return is designed to give mothers an elevated experience rooted in legacy, timeless music, and Black excellence.

“All the hits, all the Xscape hits,” Scott told BOSSIP when asked what fans can expect from the highly anticipated performance.

The legendary trio will headline the one-night-only event, joined by powerhouse artists K. Michelle and Donell Jones, for what promises to be a golden era R&B showcase in the city where Xscape’s journey first began.

Scott emphasized that the Fox Theatre’s iconic setting offers something unique compared to larger arena performances.

“I love the Fox Theatre because it is just so personable,” she explained. “It’s going to be more of like an intimate show, where everyone will feel like they’re part of the show.”

For Xscape, that closeness matters.

“We love when we can kind of almost reach out and touch our audience,” Scott added.

Atlanta Mothers “Deserve The World”

The group’s message surrounding the event is intentional. Rather than settling for traditional Mother’s Day outings, Xscape wants women to feel celebrated on a grander scale.

“Atlanta’s mothers deserve the world,” said Harris. 

For the Atlanta natives, performing at home also allows them to honor motherhood in their own personal lives while giving back to fans who have supported them for decades.

“Us being able to perform and give a show and have a good time with the mothers, I think that’s a blessing,” Harris said.

She added that the timing creates the perfect full-day experience for families.

“They can go to church in the morning and then come to the Xscape event in the evening.”

Timeless Hits, Real Stories, And Music That Lasts

From “Who Can I Run To” to “Just Kickin’ It” and “Understanding,” Xscape’s catalog continues to resonate with generations of listeners. According to Xscape, longevity stems from authenticity.

“Because it was well written, and it has meaning,” she said of the group’s music.

Scott credited Jermaine Dupri’s songwriting for helping shape records that still feel relevant today.

“Everybody’s still searching for somebody right now,” said Scott. 

Harris echoed that sentiment, noting that ’90s R&B’s emotional honesty continues to separate it from trend-driven music.

“’90s music in general, just the subject matters and what we were singing about, is timeless,” said Harris. 

When asked what advice they would offer newer artists striving for similar longevity, Scott offered one of the interview’s strongest gems.

“Don’t go with the fad. Go with the feeling,” she said.

Tiny stressed that artists should create music they can stand by for decades.

“Make sure whatever you write, you can sing it at 40, at 50, at 60,” she said.

Beyond Music: Building Legacy And Sisterhood

While Xscape’s musical legacy remains undeniable, the women also emphasized the importance of evolving beyond entertainment.

“You have to have multiple streams of income in order to make it in these times,” Scott shared.

From Broadway productions to business ventures and theatrical projects, the women continue to expand their brands while encouraging younger artists to prioritize ownership, education, and preparation.

“Real family always find their way back,” Harris said when reflecting on the group’s sisterhood.

Xscape acknowledged that maturity, accountability, and communication have strengthened their bond over the years.

“As friends and sisters, you can’t be afraid to apologize,” said Scott.
