She was 88.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Mrs. Kozak was born in Worcester and graduated from the former High School of Commerce.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;She was employed as a crossing guard for the Worcester Police Department for 20 years.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Mrs. Kozak was also employed at GE Telechron for 10 years as an inspector. She was later employed at the Fair, where she worked for 10 years as a supervisor.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

    <title>Ken Venturi, golfer who won 1964 U.S. Open in dramatic fashion, dies at 82</title>

    <description> &lt;p&gt;Ken Venturi, who won the 1964 U.S. Open golf championship in dramatic fashion and became a longtime television commentator, died Friday in Rancho Mirage. He was 82.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Venturi, who was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame earlier this month, died at Eisenhower Medical Center after battling a spinal infection, pneumonia and an intestinal infection, his son Matt said.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The U.S. Open victory was one of Venturi’s 14 tournament wins as a pro. Although he suffered from a severe stutter as a youth, he worked as the lead analyst for CBS Sports from 1968 to 2002.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

    <description> &lt;p&gt;CONCORD, N.C. — There is that lasting image of Dick Trickle in the Winston 500 lighting up a cigarette while driving his stock car with his knees during a caution lap.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;He places the cigarette through a hole he carved in his helmet for a quick toke and exhales.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The green flag hits and out the window goes the cigarette butt and back to racing goes Trickle.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;"Dick always had a cigarette lighter in his car," said fellow NASCAR driver Geoff Bodine.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Trickle was a unique driver with a unique name who found cult-like status before his death Thursday.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

Kennedy Presidential Library in Dorchester for many years.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Mrs. Maloney was a member of the St. Ann’s Mariannes in Wollaston.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;She cherished time with her family.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

    <title>Laszlo N. Masszi, at 69, of Rhode Island, veteran</title>

    <description> &lt;p&gt;Laszlo Nicholas Masszi of Melrose, formerly of Portsmouth, R.I., a veteran and engineer, died Sunday at his home. He was 69.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Mr. Masszi was born in Budapest, Hungary, and came to the Unites States in 1956. He lived in Portsmouth for 15 years, but spent the past several months living in Melrose.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Mr. Masszi served in the Army for four years during the Vietnam War.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;He was a vacuum engineer and worked on the lunar project.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;As a disabled veteran, Mr. Masszi spent a lot of time volunteering for other disabled veterans.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

    <title>Ronald DeSimone, at 62,  of Medford, truck driver</title>

    <description> &lt;p&gt;Ronald DeSimone of Medford, a retired truck driver, died Wednesday at Massachusetts General Hospital. He was 62.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Mr. DeSimone was born in Cambridge and raised in Medford where he was a lifelong resident.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;He graduated from Medford High School.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Mr. DeSimone was employed as a truck driver. He was later employed at his family’s business, Burrell Trucking of Somerville, for 25 years before becoming disabled.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Mr. DeSimone was a member of Teamsters Local 25.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

    <description> &lt;p&gt;Mary E. “Betty” (Kelliher) O’Neil of Melrose died Saturday at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital. She was 88.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Mrs. O’Neil was born in Malden.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;She attended St. Mary’s Grammar and High School.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;She was employed by the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston after graduating. She later was employed by Blue Bell Cleaners in Melrose for many years.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Mrs. O’Neil was a lifelong parishioner of St. Mary’s Church, where she was a member of the ladies sodality.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
