The great thing is that he has a DS, which will talk to the Wii, seeing they are both Nintendo devices. I have a friend who has both and he’s always talking about how he was playing Super Mario Kart with his kid, one on the DS and one on the Wii. Anyway, it’s all new stuff to me, so I have loads to learn. Good thing you can find all this online!

We’re off to Malta at the end of the month; it’s the twins’ birthday and it will be great to celebrate it with family and far away friends. We haven’t really had a a holiday this summer, it’s just that the twins have really been keeping our hands full. I don’t know how many of you guys have been on holiday, but I haven’t received any holiday cards from anyone!

So, off to Malta we go, to show off the twins and to get some son. It will be getting cold here in the Isle of Man, but it will still be warm enough to go swimming. Should be fun, hopefully I have some time to blog!

I went with the BCS today and joined them for a tour of the new Air Traffic Control Tower in Ronaldsway. It was a pretty good tour and I have some photos I’ll be uploading to my main blog if I’m still awake in a few minutes

It was interesting to get some insight into someone else’s work day. It’s easy to get dragged into the mire that is your every day life and sometimes seeing something different can give you perspective. It’s also good to see what other jobs are out there, airline jobs, construction jobs or even flying an aeroplane. It’s just that these sort of jobs are so far from where I am, that sometimes you don’t even consider them as options for other people.

I wonder what the kids will grow up to be when they grow up …

He’s just at that age where everything needs to go in his mouth: food, toys, jigsaw pieces; it’s a good thing we don’t have loose diamonds running around, or you know where they would end up.

Anyway, I’ll see if I can take a few more short videos like these to share with all of you.

The house seems to be full of clothes at the moment, but if you think about it, we’re a family of 5 now, we were 3 only a year ago. So if you just think about how many baby clothes we have running around at the moment, well, there are quite a few. The thing is, we kept most of Arthur’s clothes, some are even designer-ware, (though there’s no blac label clothing in there), but Aristea’s clothes we had to source.

It’s not that hard to find baby clothes though, people are always handing things down and we have a whole bunch for her to use. The truth is, as they get older Alexander will be handed down Arthur’s clothes, but Aristea will be getting all the new clothes. We’ll have to address that somehow!

At the end of the day, the headline price sets a shopper’s experience, so sticking to that price it pretty important. The last RyanAir ticket I bough had almost double in price by the time they added charges for luggage, web checkin and administration charges.If I paid a fixed price for my ticket, I would have been happy to be told the full price up front, it would make me feel better at the end once I had submitted my credit card.

I got her a mirror on a steel stand (well, it looks like steel), from myself; a couple of steel bottle stoppers with a fancy top from the babies; and this really cute looking bird house with a galvanised steel top, which we probably will try and hang outside one of these days.

We also went out to eat, which was fun with the babies; all in all a great anniversary!

The Internet is awesome, you can find anything you like, from videos of toddlers falling over all the way to reruns of your favourite episodes. But recently I’ve spent some of my free time playing games on Facebook. There are two in particular that are particularly addictive. One is called Bejeweled Blitz and the other Desktop Defender. They’re not that complicated as far as games go; but they’re pretty addictive. They also have an interesting viral element where your scores are compared against those of your friends and shown in a high score table  that shows you how your performance compares to those of your friends.

So, if you bored of watching cats on Youtube, or looking for the best acne treatments around, head down to Facebook and have a play.

I was a bit sceptical before I tried it. Usually these things are never good as they’re advertise. But I was amazed by the amount of gunk that came out of the drain. It was mostly hair and yucky stuff, but the great thing is that my drain is flowing perfectly now. Problem solved.
