For this one, thanks also to people who helped me with the english expressions on Twitter ( @bouletcorp if you don't follow yet !)
I did a bit of this translation by myself too, so if there are mistake, don't assume that Felix is to blame !
A quick explanation about this note: in France we have a lot more autobiographics blogs than in US or England. When the blogs began to emerge, we had almost no webcomics at all. So this form became the main one.
One of the symptoms was the "social network" dimension: it was in 2006 and nobody was already using Facebook or Myspace. But lots of blogger were directly communicating with other bloggers (I did it too ! In the beginning of this blog, I had hardly 500 followers, and I knew most of them, so I used to post comics just to say happy birthday ore likewise) and the "chain blog" was a veeeeery commun thing. I had already answered once, for my brother, about erotic movies. ( See here: http://www.bouletcorp.com/blogen/index.php?date=20101214 ) and after that I had a really hard time systematically refusing to participate to these things.
So when this one came up, thanks to Ak ( http://ha-ha-ha.tumblr.com/ ) it was a pleasure to participate !
It was very hard to translate, we tried our best by replacing french common mistakes with English common mistakes, I hope it will do the trick.
Also I changed some sentences which were purely private-jokes or referrence to bloggers I knew.
I was very surprised with the reactions, some people were enthusiastics, others were deeply offended by this "violence". The one reaction I didn't anticipate and regret was that some young bloggers took the principe to make their own "mindless violence", but made awful comics, sometimes with very racist or sexist episodes, which made very embarassing for us to read "on an original idea by Ak and Boulet" on their blog. There's probably a good morale to be found here. I will just stand with: "when you have a large audience, you can't avoid beeing read by a few stupid people now and then".
So, just to be clear: the only goal with this strip was to draw funny karate poses and laugh about these little things which get on my nerves.
