And so the last of the normal mode bosses in Throne of Thunder has succumbed to Bound’s assault on it. We missed the goal of clearing normal mode content by just a few hours, but our work is still ahead of us with heroic modes on the other side of our next raid lockout. We will start with Jin’rokh then clear to Ji-kun and pick our heroic battles as we check them off the list.

Congratulations to all on the first of many “Ahead of the Curve” achievements to come… Let’s go. We have work to do.

Tuesday was good to us with two new bosses down. We finally were able to piece together an Iron Qon with minimal mistakes and the fight went really smoothly. He and his 3 pooches dropped and that led us to our first attempts on Twin Consorts who turned out to be as “easy” as their name implies. After just a few attempts (including the last attempt of the night /sigh), they were down for the count.

Next up is Lei Shen and then we are officially done with our first clear of Normal modes. Just as a heads up, we will be diving right into the heroic modes once LS is down, but we will pick and choose the order of the heroics we will be working on so make sure to keep up with the forums!

Bound got two new bosses last week with the demise of Primordius and Dark Animus. Only 3 bosses left in normal Throne of Thunder! We will be extending raid lockouts from here to finish out Throne Normal modes so it shouldn’t be long now until we can get going in heroics!

Took us a couple of weeks, but this is a very unforgiving boss. We had to make many changes with the line-up and finally hit the right note last night. Today Pinnick could be seen basking in the afterglow, all the while trying to figure out where to bind his potions. This was a super frustrating fight and very gratifying to see ass up, but we still have a lot of work to do with only 3 weeks left to reach our goal of a normal mode clear. We will start extending raid lockouts on Apr 21st so keep that in mind and be ready for the new bosses… FIVE MORE TO GO!

With so many changes, things have been a bit tense and we have pushed past where we were stuck in April. We are hopeful for our raiding future and Haf says so in this month’s guild meeting. We will be continuing to pick up new players and will be pushing to do more on off-nights to give as many people the opportunity to raid and to find the best group to move through ToT… the goal is to clear it in a month so we definitely have to get on it!

Two new bosses on two nights. Megaera required a ton of healing and Ji-kun required a lot of focus and coordination. Now halfway through normal modes, we’re looking forward to heroics here pretty soon. Looking to get Durumu and Primordius next week and maybe even Dark Animus. The groundwork has been laid and finally, Bound is finally able to execute on the plans to improve overall and individual raiding performance. Major changes are here including the way we recruit and the way we manage the raids. We also are welcoming a few new Inquisitors to help out. Kweli will be helping Glare with our log research to find opportunities for improvement as well as being another set of eyes on the raid. Tovo will be poring over logs like Kweli and Glare. His schedule will not allow him to raid with us with any consistency, but he definitely brings a high end raider’s mentality to the analysis side of our raids. Both additions will bring us a bit more passion for raiding and improvement which you never can have too much of.

Welcome to the new raid officers and we are all looking forward to seeing the fruits of the changes!

We are definitely going to have to pick up our pace to meet the expectations! Also, there is some general information about what will be expected of new recruits, current raiders looking to rank up as well as the periodic reviews of current Ruthless to make sure that we are all doing what we can to improve. Lastly, expect to see Bound putting itself out there more with more active pugging and more chatter in-game for recruitment.
