New Site Layout and Updates

Well, it took a little longer than expected due to some server problems, but the new site is up. I've upgraded to the latest version of Community Server, which has required some significant changes. They changed their licensing, eliminating the version that I had previously used, which had unlimited photo galleries, but now I'm stuck with a max of 15 galleries. So I had to change the way the photos are organized, using tags. I've done what I could to mimic galleries the way that they used to be, so hopefully you'll still be able to find the pictures that you want. There is also a gallery for my videos now, so you can find them all here, without having to go to youtube directly. If anything seems to be strange to you, let me know, so I can fix it.

Morning Update

When I got back from the house (so I could shower), they had taken Sydney off of the oxygen. So we went in, and Erin ***-fed her for the very first time. Everything is looking good now. Their plan is for Sydney to join us in the room this afternoon, and then the girls will be discharged tomorrow sometime. So, for now, that's about it. Quick Sydney Update

Just a quick update on everything. Sydney is currently in the NICU. She was being stubborn and not wanting to breathe when she first came out, so they took her there at first to watch her. She was doing better on her own, and then she started breathing heavy, so they put her back on oxygen. The neonatologist came and told us about a bunch of different things that he didn't think it was, as well as a few things that it might be. She's on antibiotics right now, just in case it's an infection...(read more)

Home Run Derby

Not sure how it happened, but I'm sitting here watching the home run derby. I've never been able to tolerate more than 10 minutes or so of this event during all-star week because it is so incredibly slow and boring. Erin and I were out for a walk the other day, and we ran into our neighbors from across the street. They were out with their daughter and son-in-law. Well, it's been a while. I'm way overdue on my weekly posting. I really don't have a reason for missing two weeks ago, but last week, I definitely had an excuse. Saturday night, we had somewhere around nine inches of rain. I don't know that we've gotten that much rain in an entire month of June as long as we've been in the house. Listening to the radio this morning, the DJ said that Barak Obama was in trouble. See, it seems that that something like 11% of the population thinks he's a Muslim, which is a bad thing for his election chances. Aren't we supposed to be a mostly open-minded nation? Don't we have something around here called freedom of religion? Isn't there supposed to be a separation of church and state, to prevent religion from running our government? While I was driving home tonight, the radio station I was listening to was playing "Tribute" by Tenacious D. Afterwords, the DJ said something along the lines of "why, Jack Black, would you make a movie about a panda that does kung-fu?" My only response to her is "how in the world could you ever turn down a movie about a panda that does kung-fu?" Seriously, no matter how good or bad the movie might turn out to be, I'm there. Monty Python's Spamalot!

Last week, we saw Spamalot at the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Milwaukee. Being a huge Monty Python fan, I had some pretty high expectations. I would say that overall, those expectations were met. The show has great production values, with some fairly elaborate sets and video being used in some occasions as well. Well, it was great while it lasted. Okay, maybe that's not true, but I stood by it longer than most that took the same stance as I did. You see, back in 2004 or 2005, Madden NFL football was losing out to the NFL 2K series of football games in sales numbers, review scores, and game quality.
