Update and the future

Hello fellow followers of the family Bozarth! It’s been a while since the last post, so it would not be surprising if this message (if you subscribe by e-mail) goes to your spam folder.

Obviously there are lots of things going on worth talking about, but we’ve got three things:

1) This site doesn’t get updated often, and it probably won’t anytime soon. However, the photos section continues to get updates to uploaded photos to Flickr. If you’re interested in just the photos (of Annabelle, I would guess), here is the link: Josh’s Flickr photos

2) In lieu of updates here at Bozarth.org, Abby has a blog over at her Blogger site. She periodically updates with pictures of Josh as a pirate.

3) Finally, if you are fascinated with the things that Josh finds fascinating, you might check out Zarth.net, where he’ll eventually get to posting (it’s likely I haven’t made a post yet by the time you read this) about technology and a few other personal things. I’ll warn you, it won’t be all about Annabelle. For example, he is currently in San Francisco to attend Macworld Expo, so you can bet your boots that a stream of nerdiness will flow out of that site.

Abby got back from a trip, so her suitcase was laying about — a strong temptation for a kid who likes to be squished:

Yep, I turned the big 3-0 shortly after Abby did (she likes those younger men, oooh la la!), so we had a small party — AT A MEXICAN RESTAURANT!

Balloon festival

Hey, this was pretty fun. It was hot day, but it was really cool to see the hot air balloons. We drove out near Claremore for the Gatesway Foundation Balloon Festival at the beginning of August. Bluegrass music was performed there, so Abby was more than happy to go.

More horse rides for Annabelle. I think I’m done after this.

Ooh, neon-colored ice cream! Actually, I think this stuff was Italian ice, or something weird. It looked nuclear, but Annabelle didn’t care!

Camping: good, cheap vacation

We wanted to keep the vacation costs down this year, so we decided to go camping at nearby Gore, Oklahoma back in July. We camped at MarVal Family Camping Resort, since it had great features for Annabelle — namely, a pool and a playground!

Annabelle also liked the campfires.

Naps outside were a new experience!

We threw rocks into the river every day.

This tree limb fell near our camp site. We think it was out to get me.

It was fun, but we believe we camped a couple of days too long. Annabelle was attempting some potty training, and the nearest bathroom was a small hike away (there was one right next to us, but Abby checked it out and it didn’t pass the cleanliness factor).

Sorry folks, I just realized my last update was in August about Abby’s birthday (which was in July!).

Lots of things have happened since then, obviously. If you click on over to the photos page, you’ll see new photos, but I think some I you have figured that out from my past slow-update endeavors.

The photo page is http://bozarth.org/photos. I have a slight formatting issue on the page, but it’s an easy fix, and I’m lazy. Just pretend it’s not there.

There are lots of other photos that haven’t been published yet (Josh in a goofy hat! Yay!), so keep an eye out.

Abby had a birthday

So, yeah, every year we all have a birthday.

But this year, Abby turned 30 — so I put on a little surprise birthday party with some help from her buddy Stephanie.

It was really cool – lots of friends came out for the shindig at The Royal Dragon (Abby’s favorite Chinese buffet place). Happy birthday, my lovely wife!

4th of July antics

Nothing like posting about the 4th of July in August, eh? Whee!

We went to a party out somewhere in the middle of nowhere. The best I can tell you is that it was near Bixby, only probably farther south. Anyway, it was fun, and Annabelle got to experience fireworks on a different level than last year.

She agrees with me that the fireworks that shoot across the ground and generally freak you out are bad ju-ju. The sparklers, though, she’s definitely a big fan:
