Eels Premiere New Song

Eels have just premiered their new single "New Alphabet" from the highly anticipated new album, Wonderful, Glorious out February 5th, 2013. To celebrate the release of the album, out on Vagrant Records, Eels will embark on a world tour kicking off February 14 in Santa Ana, California and including dates across the United States, Canada, the U.K. and Europe. Flying Lotus has just premiered the video for "Tiny Tortures" which stars Elijah Wood. The video was directored by David Lewandowski. "Tiny Tortures" is taken from the critically lauded album Until the Quiet Comes, out now on Warp Records.

The Lewandowski-directed video is a cinematic portrait of the transformative nature of Flying Lotus, who collides the real and the surreal through kinetic soundscapes. Enduring the acid-tinged hallucinations of the digital-age, this slow-motion trip explores the relationship between humans and machines. As objects move and float, we enter a visual dream world - the culmination of Flying Lotus' vivid songwriting and Lenandowsky's surreal aesthetic.

The record's 15 songs each contains an average of 20 instruments and hundreds of recorded parts that are meticulously mixed together to create a single, cohesive track. After Tokumaru completed recording and mixing, In Focus? was mastered at Abbey Road Studios -- a fitting location for an artist who grew up listening to The Beatles and Japanese pop music.

Beautiful Noise is the definitive documentary about influential 80’s and 90’s guitar bands who harnessed massively loud sounds using a sea of effects pedals and delivered some of the most Beautiful Noise ever recorded. This documentary is 8 years in the making, with over 50 interviews, band members, music icons and tastemakers. It features the shoegaze bands My Bloody Valentine, Cocteau Twins, the Jesus and Mary Chain, Ride, Slowdive, Chapterhouse, Lush, Curve, Swervedriver, Catherine Wheel and more.
