I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! Mine was good, company was good, and now I am getting excited about Christmas! I go in and out of missing my dad, but I am taking a day at a time with all those feelings. Got my tree set up and tomorrow I'll decorate it with lots of old ornaments. What do you put on your tree?

These are some of my altered spoon necklaces~ Love repurposed old jewelry!

Fairy necklace on the right has Crystal Quartz in the vial~

Repurposed old jewelry makes some beautiful pieces.

Our last haul from the garden this year!

I have had a busy year, and lost my dad in May. I have been healing slowly, but at times it is not fast enough for me. Since Dad became sick, my creativity has been pretty stagnant.... I am wondering if it will ever return! I have so many thoughts and ideas, I'm sure this dark night of my soul will pass in time.
Wishing everyone a Happy Thanksgiving and Christmas is around the corner!

More Valentines

2013-02-08T10:22:00.004-07:00

Some more Valentines! More to come later~

2013-02-08T09:48:00.003-07:00

Hi! I have been working on some Valentine prettys, and I have needed so badly to get back to my crafting and beadwork! It is great therapy for my soul~ And...I have really needed to just "play" with glitter, color, and beads! My life is going through alot of changes right now, and crafting helps me to get grounded and centered when I am off in neverland~

2012-10-25T05:50:00.001-07:00

Well, I have been neglectful and gone from here a long time! Just wanting to update a little~ Back at my art and jewelry and hopefully will be posting and working on this site alot more. My partner and I have been busy trying to open a store!

Storage Autions

2012-03-24T10:32:00.000-07:00

These are some treasures I found at an estate sale last year... Going to a storage auction today and hope to find some nice things! I'm still dreamin' of having my store someday. May be getting closer!

Lovin' working with these flowers!
Kinda late in the summer, but some of them will wear good anytime!

Can't believe fall is around the corner!

2011-08-27T23:22:00.000-07:00

Woo Hoo! I love the fall, the crisp air (when it decides to be crisp out here in the hell heat of Arizona!)
I've already been crafting and altering. Also will be posting some new pictures of jewelry.
Halloween is coming! Are any of you making things for the holidays yet?

Summer Time and Busy!

2011-06-16T23:28:00.000-07:00

Hey it's been a busy spring and now summer! I haven't posted for quite awhile. Work, gardening, flower beds, new plants, vacation.... You know the drill!

Lots of smoke out here in Arizona. Seems like fire (Some would say Mother Nature) takes control when we leave everything to the environment. Out of control natural growth of trees, shrubs, grass.... add drought, and stupid people and you have FIRE!
Take away grazing rights from ranchers and add lightening or more stupid people and we have raging fires, and destroyed homes and lives.
Spiritual beliefs and Earth Spirituality are one thing... common sense is another. What can I say? I've always been a rebel, even amongst some of my Pagan, Wiccan, and Christian friends! I follow my own conscience, not the crowd.

On a lighter note, Lovin' the rivers around here! If ya get tired of fishing, then go swimming!

Untill next time,
Keep on crafting!

~And some more~ (Don't forget to scroll down!)

September! How I love You!

2010-09-03T06:02:00.000-07:00

The flowers are doing great!

2010-07-06T05:57:00.000-07:00

My flowers are spreading... This desert "Blahhhh" bugged me so much when I moved out here, and Mike hadn't had time to flowerscape, so I plant more in more of our yards every year!

2010-07-06T05:35:00.000-07:00

The garden is growing very well this year! Mike is an awesome gardener! The more he sees growing, the more he wants to plant.... MAYBE he will eat some of it this year??? LOL!

Some new altered stuff~

2010-06-23T14:40:00.000-07:00

Doing some more altered tins... I love doing this kind of "free-form" art!

I Love Estate Sales!

2010-05-25T19:07:00.000-07:00

I went to an estate sale over the weekend and found some beautiful glass. A Jadeite powder /trinket dish, a gorgeous 1969 Jim Beam Bourbon whiskey bottle, a collectible Avon dish with top, some old pictures and frames, and TONS of lace and ribbon for sewing! I also got a beautiful little covered butter dish from Ebay and when I put it in my curio cabinet, it matched my little white milk glass pitcher! They look so awesome side by side!

It's SPRING!!!

2010-04-07T20:14:00.000-07:00

Welcome Landon Josiah into the world!

I am a grandma again! Born February 2nd, 2010, and he is so BEAUTIFUL!!! Just like his mama!

WOO-HOO!

Spring is here and that means time for planting and growing! Time to get my flower beds going again, and fixing new areas for planting more flowers....

Since last year, we have new fruit trees and some grape vines. Can't wait for them to produce!

Haven't been here in a while, having some computer issues, and now I see some blog issues too....the reindeer from christmas wont go away when I try to edit him out!

So....Happy Spring and happy planting untill next time!

Things To Do While post-op

2010-01-11T16:39:00.000-07:00

Having surgery can slow ya down....so can quitting smoking! Now if I can just keep my hands moving before all the inspiration leaves! Hahahaha!
Hair clip with seed beads and pearls, a peyote sitch free form bracelet, afree-form necklace with a shell and toggle as the clasp and focal piece, some beautiful faceted green glass came alive with some antique looking chain and bead caps.

Started the new year off great....CREATING! YEAH!

Some new jewelry.....

2009-12-23T21:03:00.000-07:00

Some Finished gifts and some to sell!
The vintage pearl drop chain necklace is for my daughter...

Merry Christmas To All!

2009-12-23T20:39:00.000-07:00

May you be blessed with your loved ones all around you, and enjoy your lives through the holidays and the year to come!
Hold your loved ones close because you never know when they could be leaving.
This year, I want to look at the things in my life that are "Right", instead of seeing the things that are wrong.
I plan to stop smoking while I am in the hospital next week.... wish me luck!

Happy Thanksgiving To All!

2009-11-22T14:56:00.000-07:00

Wishing everyone a great Thanksgiving!
Im going on my first elk hunt the day after Thanksgiving. It's going to be cold and frosty, just the way I like it! I went on my first deer hunt last year, and had fun...that buck tasted awesome as green chili meat!

What projects are you working on?

2009-10-20T05:24:00.000-07:00

Damn, I wish I still looked like this! This was a picture of me before my "Crone" years.

Menopause and illness can do interesting things to your spirit, body and soul. Learning to accept the changes with grace and a good attitude is another thing!

I am finally finding out that saying "goodbye" to that younger woman just might be ok. I am trying to embrace this new phase of my life. My friend Bonne sent me a great article from Susan Weed...called "Beautiful Menopause", and it has opened my eyes to this shifting and dark nights of my soul. http://www.susunweed.com/herbal_ezine/September09/wisewoman.htm

What kind of projects are you working on? Any holiday gifts? Items for sale? Craft shows coming up? Drop me a line and show your photos! Even tutorials are a good thing on this blog!

Having fun and on a roll!

2009-10-19T19:37:00.000-07:00

Here are some more things I've been working on. To see descriptions of some of these things, go see my flickr photos!

Getting ready to sell, sell, sell!

2009-10-19T19:10:00.000-07:00

Getting ready for some craft sales....and hopefully a festival on Halloween.
I have been busy crafting to my heart's desire! Lovin' it!

Beautiful things my friend sent to me...

2009-09-16T21:21:00.000-07:00

My friend Bonne from Colorado sent me some beautiful lace, old crochet items, antique scraps, and even some old crochet gloves....

I am so psyched to get on some more projects!

Thanks Bonn!!!
