I’m sharing this solution because apparently nobody else has. Shocking really but repeatable (this has happened to me at least 4 times now).

WHAT

In my experience, in both the YouTube app for iPad and iPhone (iOS), something changes (unclear what) and the app starts to behave differently (Crappy):

The app says “You’re a manager” at the bottom

I can’t like videos

Other functionality is disabled

SO WHAT

Super annoying and no clarity on how it happens or what to do about it.

NOW WHAT

So far, the only fix has been to delete the app from my device and re-add it. If someone finds a simpler way or explanation, please let me know. But for now, this fix worked for me each time I ran into this. I simply deleted/uninstalled the app and reinstalled it and logged back into my YouTube account.

Hope this helps someone. ??

Logomaker.ai was recently acquired but still works in a pinch. Great tool for asking ‘all the questions about your feel and brand’ when you want to come up with a logo. While I’ve rarely used the final result and instead use this tool to get ‘close’, it proves VERY useful to get close and then refine.

So you have a name, a domain, an internet presence, and products or services to sell. You must now stand out. You require an icon. An eye-catching image that helps your customers and fans recognize you. A logo is a visual representation of who you are and what you do.

Do you need a professional logo quickly?

If you’re a company on a budget who needs a logo but doesn’t know where to start, a free logo builder is the right place to start.

The web-based logo builder from Namecheap should be great. Its main advantages are that it requires no setup, no registration, no design background, and only a few minutes of your time to try it out. You may also use it to make an unlimited number of free logos.

Professional appearance and format

When you develop a logo, you end up with a collection of digital images. These are available in a variety of file formats, but it is critical to have at least one that scales well and can be imported into as many software programs as feasible. You may download your logo design from Namecheap’s logo builder as quick-loading PNGs for website graphics and social media, as well as smooth-scaling SVGs for app icons and clean-looking prints of any size.

This solution is great for smaller webpreneurs who want to swiftly and easily knit up their brand and identity. It’s simple to experiment with and explore different options, and you might just find your ideal logo.

If you want to devote more time and money to your logo search, a free logo builder is still a good place to start. However, there are some further actions to do…

And check out thelogorepo.com (hey, we made that!). It’s pretty awesome.

The ability to send from proxy addresses or secondary aliases on a mailbox has long been demanded by Exchange account

The ability to send from proxy addresses or secondary aliases on a mailbox has long been demanded by Exchange account users. For many years, Outlook.com accounts could send using these proxy addresses, but the option had not yet been added to Office 365 business mailboxes.

Not any longer…

When you use an alias to send an email, it will be maintained in the recipient’s From and Reply to fields. Your alias will be displayed to the recipient instead of your actual email address.

Enable Send Email from Alias Office 365

The send from alias option is turned off by default, so if you want to use this feature you will need to enable it in the Exchange Online Admin center or with PowerShell.

Open the Exchange Admin Center

Click Settings > Mail flow

Enable Turn on sending from aliases

Once done, you can use mail flow rules (also known as transport rules) to identify and take action on messages that flow through your organization.

Mail flow rules take action on messages while they’re in transit, not after the message is delivered to the mailbox. Mail flow rules contain a richer set of conditions, exceptions, and actions, which provides you with the flexibility to implement many types of messaging policies.

“How come I keep doing this?”

“How is it that this keeps occurring to me?”

When you feel imprisoned in habits that cause problems in your life and prevent you from accomplishing your goals, you might ask yourself these questions. Despite your efforts to make adjustments and interrupt these patterns, you always wind up in the same position.

If this sounds like you, you may be sabotaging yourself. Self-sabotage refers to actions or mental processes that hold you back and hinder you from accomplishing your goals.

In this video, I tell the story of when I sabotaged my own musical future/career, subconsciously in the “cruise ship musician” world. What became a ‘isn’t this funny?’ story I told for 30+ years later became a realization at 50 that I nuked my own opportunities at the time, on purpose (subconsciously), because it didn’t feel right and I didn’t have the courage (or commitment in personal voice) to exit the situation in a more professional way.

I’m hoping this video helps others find their voice or path, or moments in their lives where they might have self-sabotaged their own potential because it didn’t feel right. I don’t regret my decisions but some of them sure hurt at the time and I would certainly have handled them differently today. Experience = wisdom. I’m hoping some of this wisdom helps someone else.

Watch the video below and share your thoughts.

Self-sabotage occurs when we actively harm ourselves physically, intellectually, or emotionally, or when we undermine our own success and happiness by sabotaging personal goals and values.

Depending on one’s level of awareness, self-sabotage, also known as behavioral dysregulation, can be conscious or unconscious. Choosing to eat cake despite a wish to eat healthy is an example of purposeful self-sabotage. When a personal aim or value is undermined but not first recognized, this is referred to as unconscious self-sabotage.

I just turned 50 and I’m in the best mental and physical shape of my life. One thing I learned

I just turned 50 and I’m in the best mental and physical shape of my life. One thing I learned is the need to move away from caring about what others thought, to caring about what matters; caring about what I think.

Our concerns about what other people think of us are often exaggerated and not worth worrying about.

It’s understandable and, to some extent, rational to pay attention to other people’s perspectives.

We all want to be liked and admired for our diverse abilities, fiery intellect, excellent attitude, and dazzling personality.

But we get into problems when we start to rely on what other people think of us and make their opinion crucial to our success. We begin to alter our lives to meet the expectations of others, and the cycle continues. When we hand over our power to others and allow their perceptions to shape our identity, we lose sight of who we truly are. We can only perceive ourselves as we believe others view us.

I shared my thoughts about why you should care about what you think in a video. Watch it below.

Center Stage uses machine learning to adjust the front-facing Ultra Wide camera when you use video apps such as FaceTime on your compatible iPad model or Mac connected to Studio Display. As you move around, Center Stage helps keep you and anyone else with you in the frame.

What you need

Center Stage works with these iPad models and Mac computers:

iPad Air (5th generation)

iPad Pro 12.9-inch (5th generation)

iPad Pro 11-inch (3rd generation)

iPad (9th generation)

iPad mini (6th generation)

Compatible Mac computers connected to Studio Display

You can use Center Stage during a FaceTime call as well as with other compatible video apps.

Another techie tip. I had to really look to find a video ‘recording’ option (the default camera app doesn’t do it, nor do others it seems) that allowed me to use the new ‘Center Stage’ option. While it works in Zoom, Facetime and other meetings, being able to record a video on its own wasn’t an easy option until I discovered https://www.filmicpro.com/products/filmic-pro – FilmIC Pro does it.

I’m tired of hearing the phrase, “it’s always been done this way.”

We’re going to make changes this year, and we’re starting with our work agreements.

Our work agreements are short compared to the standard. The legal disclosures in the agreements are under two pages, and the total length is around nine pages. But when we ask clients to sign our agreement, they send their novel of a statement of work over (60-80 pages!). There is no legitimate reason for the agreement to be this long, but “it’s always been done this way.”

We’re making a change going forward. Our agreements are our agreements, and this is how we work. But for those who do want a thicker document, we’ll provide a 48-point font version that is 77 pages.

What I want to know from you is, what is your organization doing differently this year? Are you making changes to make your organization and those around you better? Let me know in the comments below.
