Well… I gave up. That OMG long cable (10 feet) irritated me most. Yeah, I know headphones are not meant to be portable; but I want it to!

Last week I went to recording studio (my friend’s), and he’s using MDR V-600. Yeah, Sony — I tried em, and they were pretty comfort on your head. The foams felt nice on both ears. I compared it side-by-side with my HD202, and I noticed lots of differences, especially when you turning off all equalizer, smart volume, and bass-boost (I’m using Creative Vision:M).

V600 had deeper sound, and natural, while HD202 just fell flat. Talk about the bass response, MDR got the beer.

I’d like to write a little bit about Internet World these days.

Internet is definitely the new dimension of life. Just like in the world we’re living, there are communities, conflicts, threats, communications, and all others you can mention.

With the growth of technology, the safety for each individual is kind of risky. Hackers and Crackers (not the biscuit) are floating everywhere and threatening our system vulnerability; including its performance, stability and privacy.

Have you noticed the yellow padlock on the status bar of your browser every time you’re entering the secure-zone?

It looks like this:

Have you ever wondering who made that?

Well, they’re a company who is selling Digital Certificates. Maybe all of us familiar with VeriSign. That’s the major company who provides SSL service to guarantee the safety and privacy on authentic web-page, but looks like there’s a potential competitor that pretty much leading VeriSign, it’s Comodo.

Here’s the great part. They (Comodo) are now a company that also build programs for desktop security. For a bit detail about this company, you can read their Manifesto.

Here’s the bonus part, they share a completely free software(s) for us (AntiVirus, AntiSpyware, Firewall, etc), which I know they are great in term of security.

It’s been a week since I’m using this headphones, Sennheiser HD 202, so I’m going to write little bit review about it.

I’m quite satisfied with this product, which is a sweet, or probably the best deal for $20 price margin, for the performance given by this headphones.

Performance

Well, you can’t judge the quality of the headphones from the spec. Nothing really special from it’s spec if we see:

Frequency response (headphones): 18-18000 Hz

Sound pressure level (SPL): 115 dB(SPL)

THD: > 0.5%

Compared with previous headphones I bought, the specs look better than this, but they just annoying. So, you really have to try to put them on your ears, rather than concluding based from its spec.

Dell, from the Studio Line which previously introduced their stylish laptop to the market, they also throw the desktop edition, with the slim stylish as well.

However, this slim desktop has a major improvements for the specs, for example the 2.53GHz Core2Duo processors and 2GB of RAM came along the way. There are also HDMI output included, and Blue-Ray support.

Here we go my personal comment. It’s pointing out the contradiction to the consumers actually. There are fixed sizes for PCs, Desktop, Laptop and UMPC; and for their usability, Desktop is permanently stays at home, on your desk, while laptop is lightly for mobile, and UMPC is… okay, more mobile.

How about those who stand in the middle? Mini Laptop, and Mini Desktop. For say, 12.1 - 14.1" of laptop. They’re not as light-weight as UMPC, but not as big as 15.4 - 17" incher. You can’t carry it everywhere with one side of your hand, but it can’t play 3D game so well. Stuck in the middle.

Using magnet effect to attach this earphone on your earlobe. I remember when I was in High School, there were magnetic ear-ring, which was basically do the same work as this. It’ll hurts your ear-lobes after like 30 minutes of usage. I’m not sure how it feels when you’re wearing this earphone, they probably came up with a better technology for your comfort, but I don’t really trust them.

It just the matter of time until your ear-lobes crying out to heaven.

This technology introduced to you by Thanko.

Finally Samsung throwing the ball, by releasing 10 incher, UMPC, NC10. Welcome to the party indeed. Let’s go to the spec all the way:

10.2 inch screen

Windows XP - OS

80 or 160 GB HDD

1.6 GHz Atom Processor

6-cell battery, WiFi, Bluetooth

They promised to give up to 8 hours battery life. The resolution is 1024 x 600, pretty much standard for 10" UMPC as well as the other elements. How about the style which is identical with the world of Samsung? Maybe the full-size keyboard? Or the shinny look?

The mouse pad looks too small anyway. The party for its debut will be throw in UK, with price-tag for about $590.

Can’t be declared wether it’s outstanding since there are so many UMPCs in the market today. Along with Samsung NC10, Averatec also (finally) releasing their 10 incher as well, with similar specs (powered by Atom N270) it costs about $450.

I saw this giant several days ago at the mall. It is big indeed. 25.5 inch with 1920 x 1200 touch screen resolution… it’s way more than you asked for creating job proposal with Microsoft Word 2007. I did try to scratches my fingers on this screen quite a few times, and it amazed me — except for the fact, I saw tons of fingerprints and oily marks on the surface.

Well, it just another overselling product in PC industry. How come it is not? I can’t think one from any, of how do you need this machine in your house. Artists using tablet. By the fact it’s a touch screen, it’s the other way of saying "I don’t need a mouse" — and who’s going to raise your arm, keep fingering the screen for hours… days… months?

Maybe for gaming? If it can hooked up with PSP / PS / Wii / Xbox console then it’ll make more sense, but still, it’s a waste of money. Replacing TV? Uhm… no. With a worth around $2000, I will have no idea what to do with this thing if someone sent me this — eBay probably.

They’re from HP. A pretty cool, lux and sleek entertainment laptop, HDX16 (16 inches) and HDX18 (18 inches). Since they came with a weird size of display-size, it also uses a weird screen resolution, 1,366 x 768, which I believe will adding extra frustration to wallpaper’s makers. For the 18 inches, it uses 1,920 x 1,080 resolution.

Put that aside, this duo using a quite solid processor, 2.26GHz Core 2 Duo P8400 CPU together with 320 and 250 HDD at 5400RPM. NVIDIA’s 512MB GeForce 9600 GT, and 4GB of RAM included as well. One extra point, it has 4-pin FireWire connector as well. Well, since it’s dedicated as an "Entertainment" laptop, it’s obvious if it compete with gaming laptop as well, in performance, and price.

These laptops should be aired somewhere in the market at the end of this month for $1,249 and $1549 as the based price. Got some extra incomes to dispose?

Update: There’s a review for this laptop, done by LaptopMag.

I remember the day.

Well, that was the first step of me, in getting my first positive star on my eBay’s feedback with a "VERY GOOD COMMUNICATION" comment, which I believe I bothered him/her enough. I started my journey in eBay world ever since, including my first time being a seller — sold my old first laptop, Acer Aspire, before I got my M1330 (read the story here ;p).

Anyway, there always the first time in every experience. Hence, I sometimes don’t really bothered by the count of stars right next to the seller’s nickname.
