Following up on their first collaboration together two years ago, A.P.C. are working with Nike to produce another tennis shoe. A sneak peek of the red/white colourway found its way onto the net last week, looking very much like the typical Tennis Classic with a canvas upper and vulcanised rubber sole. I only post this because it caught my eye over on Highsnobiety as being steeped in nostalgia. Boxfresh and Raleigh are two brands that were massively prevalent in my younger days. They've come together for to create a BMX bike that has been released in a ultra-limited edition run... of 2 (come on now - even that Stussy/Honda collaboration scooter a couple of years ago had 10 units produced). Anyway, it's all made me want to break out the old BMX and try to bunny hop over a kerb without breaking my back.

Towards the end of last year, the BBC ran a documentary on the world of haute couture. One of the most interesting things it explored was how fiercely the term 'haute couture' is guarded - its definition is protected by French law, so as not to be diluted by ready to wear fashion. I'm sure there are a few shops on Savile Row wishing English fashion history was as sacred, after the Advertising Standards Authority yesterday dismissed their claim the term 'bespoke' was being misused by a fellow tailor.
