While browsing this site for the first time, I caught a glimpse of the Zulily ad that keeps popping up. Half of it was obscured by the bottom of screen, and I thought it said "Style For Your BLIMP." I thought, "That's horrible! Who would call their pregnant wife a blimp??" Then I saw that it actually said "BUMP."

Because of my wife's high-risk status, we've been getting an ultrasound every month, which is nice for getting to see how our baby is progressing, but my big thing about it is -- so often I can't really tell what it is I'm looking at and what I'm supposed to be seeing. I'm embarrassed to ask the technician, for fear of sounding stupid, and also because I don't want to interrupt. My other thing is that it's frustrating when my wife has gone for an ultrasound (I can't always be there because of work) and says "We couldn't really see anything, he was hiding, etc." and all the picture print outs are obscure blobs.

We are in for a surprise, because in all the 3/4-D ultrasounds we've seen, his face is partially hidden. So I guess some things are worth waiting for.

Hello, all. Expecting our first child, a boy, and he's coming in just a few weeks. I feel like I have about six months of work to do in one to get the house ready for a baby. I'm starting to get in a big panic. According to our original calculations we're about 35 weeks along, but he seems to be 2-3 weeks ahead of schedule growth-wise. I really thought we'd have this house ready by now. But we still have junk in the nursery, holes that need patched, and painting to do. And that's before I can put the crib together, etc. My wife is a high-risk pregnancy, diabetic, and has chronic pain issues, so she can't really help, no matter how much she wants to. I guess I just want to vent, but if anyone who's been in this situation can provide some perspective, that would be great...
