<p>This is my web home. If you were in my real home, I'd ask you to sit
down, relax, and I'd offer you a cold drink. Until then, all I can
offer you is this humble web space.</p>
<p><strong>My Work Life</strong><br /> I am an <a href="http://blog.clsllc.com/awards.html">award-winning
instructional designer</a> who, for the past 15 years, has been designing
face-to-face, print, computer-based, and web-based instruction and
training, for global audiences. Throughout my career as an
instructional designer, I have delivered numerous presentations,
workshops, seminars, and tutorials on a wide variety of instructional
design and training-related issues. In my distant past, I was a book-builder, letterpress operator, and textbook designer... and oh yeah, I invented <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ice_cream">ice cream</a> too.</p><p><strong>What To Do Here</strong><br /><span>While here, learn more about my <a href="http://blog.clsllc.com/articles.html">approach to training</a>, <a href="http://blog.clsllc.com/my-design-philosophy.html">my design philosophy</a>, engage in discussion and debate with me, check out some of my work, and view my <a href="http://blog.clsllc.com/professional.html">resume</a>. Feel free to <a href="mailto:brandoncarson@gmail.com">contact me</a> for a friendly chat or work opportunities.</span></p><p><strong>My Personal Life</strong><br />I reside in the San Francisco Bay Area with my family. I spend too much
free time playing my Wii, and <a href="http://gizmodo.com/5412735/tivo-is-slowly-dying">Tivo'ing</a> reality shows. I also tinker
with <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/shemp65/">photography</a>, write about my <a href="http://shemp65.typepad.com/gadget_galore/">gadgets</a>, and like to collect and critique <a href="http://shemp65.typepad.com/music_mania/">jazz and punk albums</a>. Sometimes I tend to <a href="http://shemp65.tumblr.com/">spew random thoughts</a> on culture and its affect on humanity.</p></div>
