** High School Seniors **

For the image of the High School Senior, her iris size which was denoted by the brush size was (50) so we selected the “dhSmooth-Touch_50” action palette. Once the action completed, we painted back her face and then with a reduced opacity we painted her arms. Once this was completed I reduced the entire opacity of the layer to 75%. This helped bring back some of the underlining skin texture and gave it a nice softening feel to her skin.

** Newborn Portraits **

For our newborn images, there is no “iris size” that can be determined by the brush tool, so after testing we recommend using “dhSmooth-Touch_200” action from the set. Just as the saying goes – “Smooth like a Baby’s Bottom,” that’s what the dhSmooth-Touch_200 gives you. Once the action has completed, we paint back all skin at 100% opacity. After all the skin has been painted back to give use a nice smooth texture, we need to paint back skin details such as the folds and under eye lines that make the newborns so cute. To do this change the paint color to black and opacity to 25% and gentle paint in the details. And as in the senior portrait I reduced the entire opacity of the layer to 75%.
