This is Wadafak, a character I started in 2005 and lost on a broken hard drive, only recovering it in 2010 thanks to a friend who was the only other person who had it

Recently, while working on a commission, I showed this character to the client and realized I didn’t have any videos of him on my channel (there was some problem with his video at the time), so I decided to update the character so he wouldn’t be forgotten – it’s a side effect of getting old, haha.

Eder asked me back in the day if I’d like to code a creation of his, and once I saw this character… I realized it could be really funny.

I’ve tried to make it as original and fun as possible, with cartoon sounds and original moves.

Give him a try. I’m pretty sure you’ll have fun with it.

This is a dream project for our team. We know there’s already an amazing “Power Rangers Beats of Power” game made by our friend Merso X (who authorized us to use content from that project, and if you don’t know the game, it’s worth checking out), but we wanted to create our own vision of what a game in the series should be like.

What to expect from the game?

• Solid combat system with good combo possibilities
• Frenetic action, inspired by arcade games like TMNT
• Ability to control Human, Ranger, and Megazord forms
• Hundreds of new sprites
• Soundtrack using the Mega Drive sound chip

What not to expect from the game:

• A Marvel vs. Capcom 2 disguised as a beat ’em up where you can execute a combo of over 100 hits on the first enemy you encounter. If you like this, this is definitely not a game for you

Important: Unfortunately, due to an engine bug discovered 2 days before launch, co-op is disabled in the demo. We opted to release the demo for single-player only rather than delay the launch.

Important 2: The game is compressed for security reasons and may cause false positives due to not being signed software and having a changed icon, but there are no threats in the files.

What is new in version 2.2?

• New playable character: Noid, from the game Yo Noid! (NES), enabled from the start in this version, but will need to be unlocked in the next version.
• Improved respawn system, especially in the Castle stage in the Golden Axe universe. The platforming stage in the same universe can still be problematic in co-op, so it will either be modified or removed in the next version.
• Improved the Spider Queen boss, which now ignores the hole in the level, making the battle faster.
• Fixed a rare bug that caused an engine crash due to incorrect use of “skipselect.”

Unless we discover any bugs, this will be the last released version of Pocket Dimensional 2, and all efforts will be made to finish Pocket Dimensional 3.

PLATFORMS
• Developed in OpenBOR V3 build 6391.
Does not work in V4 or any version later than version 6391. There is no provision to migrate to V4 at this time.

• Works on official platforms: Windows, Android and Linux (not tested).
It may work on alternative platforms such as Raspbery Pi, SNES/Genesis/PSX Mini/Batocera/3DS/Switch etc
AS LONG AS the code for these versions is not later than version 6391.
But there is no guarantee or intention that it will work.

• Does not work on platforms such as WII, Dreamcast, PSP and any legacy platforms. And there is NO PLAN to support those platforms.

CHARACTERS
• 18 playable characters in total (unlockable)

• Customized controls – Choose between Classic Controls (with motion controls such as D, F + Attack) or Modern Controls (Pressing just one button + directional pad). And they can be interleaved in real time (both work all the time):

• Archetypes:
The selection screen we have the classification of each character based on type (All Around, Zoner, Melee, Powerhouse, Speedster).
Certain types will have additional traits (all Melee can perform Wall Jump for example).
And certain characters will be able to inherit specific traits, like Chun Li with Wall Jump.

• Adaptative Difficulty

The game has some elements to balance the difficulty based on the number of players on the screen at the same time:

• All enemies, including bosses, gain a total health bonus of up to 60% (maximum, with 4 players).
• The number of enemies you face in levels (and their type) changes
• Some obstacles only give items depending on the number of people on the screen
• Certain items no longer appear if a certain number of players are present

This is the last update of version 3 – from now on, we will work on a new version (4.0) of the project. And it will be a complete new version: new screenpack, new widescreen resolution, new characters – now more focused on the X series – and even a new name.

Unlike the normal Mega Man games, this is a fighting game in versus style, highly influenced by games like Marvel vs. Capcom.

The game includes:

• 30+ playable characters, including names like Mega Man, Proto Man, Snake Man, Metal Man, Enker, Quint and others.

• Several classic bosses of the series, such as Yellow Devil, Hyper Storm H, Metonger Z and others.

• 53+ Unique stages for each character, with its characteristic soundtrack

 • Power Sets: Almost all characters, except some cases explained in game history, have the ability to choose from 6 different types of powers / weapons, in addition to special attacks.

• History, with introduction (animated and with voice over) and ending, for each character.Take control of your favorite Mega Man characters to stop the Evil Dr. Wily from conquering the Earth.

Unless I’m mistaken, today I’m the oldest programmer on the engine who is still active. Or at least among the 3 oldest, for sure.

I started in December 1999 (the engine was released in the middle of the same year), I saw many sites/forums/communities come and go – MugenBR, Pão de Mugen, MugenNow, TESTP, Charasoon, Oolong Mugen Bookmark… I miss old friends like Bea, Carnificina, Ex-Inferis, Juan Carlos (RIP) and some I still talk to today, like RyounWin… the list is huge and my memory is no longer the same

Wow, the first community I joined was the Mugen channel on IRC!

Things that didn’t exist in 1999:
Facebook, Youtube, Instagram, Streaming, Wikipedia, Alexa, iPhone, broadband Internet in Brazil, Google was only 1 year old.

Famous things in 1999:
IRC, Blackberry, RealJukebox, Winamp, ICQ

Things were definitely different than they are today, both in Mugen and in real life. In a few years, I’ll be 50 years old and I don’t know if I’ll still be here, but as long as I’m having fun with it and have the health to do it, I’ll be here

For those who don’t know, it’s a project that takes place in an alternative future, after the events of Street Fighter 3. Some features of the project:

• Alternate versions of the characters
• Effects with specific colors for each character
• Pretty aggressive AI
• High damage.

Gameplay has been expanded, with new special moves and supers, as well as an alternate mode called “Obsidian Body”, our take on MVC’s “Mecha Zangief”.

It works in Mugen version 1.0 and onwards (although the game uses the 1.1 engine).

Red Cyclone was the first character to use the grab system I created called GrabSys, which simulates the gameplay of wrestling games, triggered by input forward (or backward) + two punch or kick buttons. From there, almost 20 possible moves can be performed (read the manual for more details).

I hope you like it and that another 20 years will come… or not

What is VEGSYS?

VEGSYS, Versus Grab System, is a wrestler grab system from old-school wrestling games, that I liked on the past, and I’ve decide to bring it back. Basically, you can fight normal as a versus character but, wiht this system, you can grab your opponent (who remain on that position for a short time) and there choose what you want to do with the poor victim

There is a lot of movies on this mode, some are exclusive for this mode, some aren’t avaliable. The exclusive feature are:

– Irish whip, the well know move that throw the opponent to the ropes, and it comes back to you.
– Normal grab moves, that can “chain” (link) onto another moves, called Super throws, which consumes a bit power.
– Can grab your enemy from behind and execute different moves.
– OTG, On the Ground moves, moves that could be while the opponent is on the ground. (not implemented yet)

About the gameplay:

His gameplay is based more on wrestling games styles than versus style, beside he can made some versus moves, like superjump, etc. But as he is a grapler, and a very fierce one, his grab moves could be chained into grab combos, like Tekken games. But BEWARE…with this, he could do huge amout of damage, like 60-80% damage…even 100% damage moves, but the combos’s moviments gets harder and harder to do, like – QCF, HCF, HCFQCB, 360º,720º, etc.

On other words: He is a Mammoth, can step over you really kick, besides his AI is on the early Stages. The word is STAY AWAY FROM HIM…or you will suffer

A few years ago, MDS_GEIST asked me to program some hypers for a customized version of Superman and I showed the result on my channel. Since then, a lot of people had asked me for the link to download this character, but the author hadn’t released it yet.

Time passed and I ended up forgetting to check how this project was going and I noticed that the author released the character for download, so I decided to show him here.

One of the hypers I programmed can be seen at . It’s a character that has dozens of moves and is quite OP – just like the original character. I just don’t think it needed regeneration
