Biryaneez Biryani Noodles is a startup company making a big noise across these days on social media and TV. I am sure, each of you would have heard about this noodles and maybe would be still waiting to get your hands on it. Even I was curious to taste this tempting noodles. One day when I was in a store, the guy gave me 1 pack of this noodles. Usually, I buy at least 10 packs of noodles so I asked him to give 10 but unfortunately it was not available or sold out. The expectation was over the roof to try so I ran back home. My first impression of the product was amazing as the powder smells just amazing. I was tempted but halfway through cooking, I just realized a lot of things. Do you know that feeling when you are all excited to see your favorite hero's movie and then halfway through you realize that you wasted your time and money, well! my feeling was the same.

Review:

Biryaneez Biryani Noodles, the most disgusting noodles I have ever had till now. I am sure, this is a strong statement and I know Biryaneez wouldn't like it. I do have something to tell to Biryaneez but first lets me tell you about the most disgusting noodles. As most of you know that I am a huge meat lover and I cook too. Naturally, I was eager to have Biryani Noodles because I loved the concept. As I have explained above, I was craving this and it felt flat. Biryani Noodles masala is delicious when you smell the raw version of it however once you add it to water, it starts emanating a weird kind of smell. To be more specific, it smells like a rotten chicken. The noodles is also not that great as it is sticky a little. The worst part is when the blend happens. The stinking powder cooking with noodles just smells like the worst day of your life. I made the stinky noodles and I did taste it because I am a blogger. This was the first probably the last time I would ever taste a noodle which is so bad. A weird taste of rotten meat powders was very strong and the smell made it, even more, worst to eat. I took a bite and threw away the noodles. So if you are looking for this noodles, just stop it today because of its the worst ever noodles. By the way, if you see some fake food bloggers promoting this noodles please ignore coz all those are paid reviews from Biryaneez.

A Small Advice:

Biryaneez guys, I think you should invest time and money in developing your product than advertising and getting fake reviews from fake bloggers. Kindly test your product and evolve the taste. I think it is a wonderful concept but you need to get the things right. Once you are confident, let me know so that I can try and review it. If I like it, I will surely change this review.

Feeling tho desi hona chahiye, and I am sure this place will give you that feeling. Located on the Brigade road, Desi Deck is mostly north-Indian oriented Restobar with some unique cocktails and authentic north Indian cuisine. Built on the concept of Desi, this Restobar is attracting a lot of north Indians cum south Indians alike. Live Hindi music every weekend just makes this place unique and the best in Bangalore for a chilled weekend dinner. Desi Deck also features unique desi cocktails. Review

Desi Deck is surely a unique place because of its offerings. Not many places in Bangalore has live music and of course, no other place play Bollywood music. Desi Deck's cocktail was a big hit on the launch day and trust me even I liked it all. So let me first talk about the food and then I will describe to you the amazing cocktails they serve.
Desi Deck has a list of amazing Punjabi and cultural Delhi cuisines. The chef seems to pick up the pace with the Bangalore palette, therefore, the food is coming out brilliantly. Some of the dishes I tried was basic tikka, stuffed Parata and of course desi desserts. Frankly, I loved the desserts especially Gulab Jamun Cheesecake. Desi Deck menu titles are funny, do check them out. So coming to the cocktails, they have a list of very unique desi cocktails like Rasam Whiskey, Jaljira vodka, Ice Gola cocktail to name a few. Conceptually and the taste of these cocktails are excellent. My favourite was jaljira vodka, it was made with perfection. So Desi Deck seems to be promising and even the food. Pristine Organics is an organic and nutritional products manufacturing company using a wide variety of millets. The product ranges from delicious bread to cookies made from organic millets. With proper nutritional research and diet formulations, Pristine is offering healthy food for the healthy lifestyle. I am not a great fan of millets, however, Pristine did change me a little. I tried many of their products and I am kinda impressed. Let me list down what I had and have was it!

Review:

I have not had Millets before at least not everything. I have had ragi and other Millet but not much and not a great fan. The name millet is a very new thing to me but however, it is trending now and making a good noise, of course for all the good reasons. The Pristine Organics is a brand who makes products out of these millets. I tried a couple products and they are as follows

Organic Multi-Millet Bread - The bread was a shocker because just like a normal bread. I didn't feel any millet about it if you know what I mean. It was well baked and its surely healthier option.

Organic Millet biscuits - I tried 2 types of biscuits, one was a regular cookie and the other is the diet biscuit. I liked the regular version of millet biscuit but not the diet biscuit, maybe because I like sweetness in my cookie.

Millet Flakes - The Millet flakes were really nice, I mean a pinch of apple sweetness and tummy full quality will surely help anyone who is looking to cut down on their fat intake. I really thought the Flakes won't be that tasty but hands down for Pristine Organics.

Organic Ragi Flour - The quality of ragi flour was definitely better than the regular one, maybe because of the quality of Ragi. The flour was well done definitely you would love if you love to make Ragi Ball or Mudde because of its smoothness.

Organic Coffee - The first disappointment with Pristine was its coffee. The first observation was the smell. The coffee smell was totally lost and it smelt something weird. However, I did taste the coffee and it was seriously bad.

Basil Seeds - Basil seeds, however, was of premium quality. I don't think I need to endorse this coz I would suggest you to buy it and see how it is.

So I think Pristine Organics has done a wonderful job in creating some amazing millet products and double thumbs up to these guys for trying to make me healthy. I am already going healthy and Pristine is supporting me in this cause by creating some yummy healthy delights, thank you.

Note: Anyone trying to lose weight like me or just want a healthier option can surely try Pristine Organics. It is yummy as well as healthy. Try their bread, biscuits, Ragi flour and Flakes, it is a must.

Drunkling is a fancy pub located in Koramangala 5th Block. This 2-floor property looks fancy from the outside and elegant from the inside. This place is known for it amazing sizzlers and cocktails. Being in such a great location, drunkling definitely offers from exotic cuisines to munch on. Space is decent with elegant seating for comfort and the ambience is relaxing. So if you are looking for a good elegant place in Koramangala then you can definitely hit this place but what about food? well! you can check the review below.

Review

The food at drunkling is fancy and well made. The chef's idea of the pallets was little off the chart but I am sure it doesn't affect your hunger for food. The items which I tried were mostly non-veg and the flavours were decent. The sizzlers were done with perfection but I believe a little more magic with flavours would have made the meat better. The meat was well very cooked and was tender. The process of sizzling meat is an art and I commend the chef for doing it beautifully. The items I tried varied from chicken, mutton as well as some veg and I can say that it was above average. The best dish I could pick is the amazing mutton seekh kabab and of course Paneer Tikka, exceptionally wonderful. Coming down to drinks, I think the cocktails were well made and the blend was really good. I did have a problem with Obsession cocktail but I suggested a change with hopefully has been implemented. The cocktails like Pop My cherry, Cilantro Jalapeño Margarita and Aam Panna was done beautifully. The best cocktail I love to recommend everyone is the Aam Panna. You guys need to try Aam Panna and I think they might win "Foodie Says Yummy" award for their excellent Aam Panna cocktail. By the way, a special shout out to the dessert caramel custard (It was yum) and to the Dominic Savio who generously hosted me. Thumbs up for Drunkling! The Zee5 Loft is a cafe cum play area cum social club cum everything else you can dream of having at a cafe. It is a very unique concept and the response is quite impressive. I visited a day after the launch of Zee5 Loft in HSR Layout, and I was surprised by the crowd. But the obvious question, how was the food? Well! check it out below.

Review

Zee5 Loft is surely an exciting place to hang out and I was impressed when I entered. The ambience is just amazing and the feel or the vibe is just blissful. The delicious aromas of fresh food from the open kitchen will definitely make you lot more hungry than you think. The food choices vary from pizzas as the main course to BBQ chicken wings as the starter. I mean, it's just not a small bakery cafe. The open kitchen makes this place better because you can see how your food is been prepared. They also promise 10 minutes to serve but it took more than 15 minutes for sure but who cares if you are playing the video game if you know what I mean. 😉

Coming to food, it was definitely of good standards but I wouldn't say great. I mean, it was better than most of the cafes around Bangalore but there is always a place for improvement. I tried a couple of dishes and it was good. I liked the pizza, Masala Pan seared fish N chips and their burgers were good and of course there were some regulars like chicken wings or potato fries etc is definitely basic. Talking about the food, I think the freshness of every dish is to be noted because it felt refreshing.
Speaking of refreshing, Zee5 Loft's mocktails or non-alcoholic drinks stands tall. I loved most of their mocktails especially Rose Oreo Shake and Vietnamese coffee was excellent. If I should give them an award, then I would really give them for the Vietnamese coffee because it was mind-blowing. So Zee5 Loft is a place for people who just want to relax, play games or just relax and sip a cup of coffee. Double Decker is a decent place with a contemporary menu option, which means you can order chicken tikka or pizza or even a burger at this place. It is a good menu for crazy persons like me who would love to have mixed cuisine experience at a single place, that too when you are drinking. I tried the food multiple times here and like the menu, even my taste went contemporary. The food is good but the balance of flavouring is not that great. However, I can eat at Double Decker any time of the day because it is definitely not bad. My favourite would be pasta, Chili pork and of course Pina Colada. The Chili pork and Pina Colada at Double Decker is the best I can say. Hot sun, cold breeze and Pina Colada, you have no complaints to make. One more thing, Double Decker has very friendly staffs, therefore, I don't see any excuse not to visit this place. Try them and comment your review below.

As we foodies, we always love something very unique and Glocal Junction is that unique. The exciting international food and drinks menu with an Indian/local twist makes Glocal Junction a very unique than all other restaurants in Bengaluru. I tried a couple of dishes and a lot of cocktails during my visit to Glocal Junction. I enjoyed the Holi drinks menu which consisted of cocktails blended with local flavours. I don't know how appropriate it would be to review on the special menu but my belief is that if they know how to blend a drink then they pretty much know the art. So let me talk about the Holi blenders before I talk about the food. So the Holi cocktails I tried were

That me explaining about the drink, I think it's better to give one-word review 'Awesome'. The blend was on the dot and flavoursome. The Thandai Chai Ke Sath, Desi Jugaad and Rang Rasiyaa were the best among this. However, the Thandai Chai Ke Sath impressed me a lot. A simple masala chai flavouring on Vodka, this blend impressed me a lot. I can drink this chai all day. I am not sure if Glocal Junction serves 'Thandai Chai Ke Sath' every day but I suggest you ask them. I loved every blend they prepared. Coming to food, I am impressed with the understanding of their flavours. The chicken wings or pizza or rice, everything is locally flavoured to awesomeness. The chilli chicken pizza can take over the world because the blend perfectly works and with a pinch of extra spice, its a revolution. The Coorg chicken can burn the world because it's very very spicy. If you want a good starter to go with you Beer, I suggest extra spice Coorg chicken. It looks like a chicken filled flamethrower coz its dead red and spicy. I also tried chicken wings and fish fingers, not bad at all. So after a long time, I felt very satisfied after having Glocal Junction's food and blends. Tripple thumbs up to Glocal Junction, fantastic job indeed.

Each such canteen can serve up to 500 people per day. With 27 centralized kitchens are planned in each assembly constituency of Bengaluru, Indira Canteens are growing rapidly at the cost of the ex-checker. So how is the food and is it worth?

Indira Canteens are surely becoming popular among the Bangalore public only because it is cheap. ₹5 and ₹10 menu is great for the food they serve. So I did go to one of the Indira Canteen 2 days for breakfast and lunch. I must say, I was impressed a little. The cleanliness, crowd, food was good. I mean, for ₹5 and ₹10 the food was really good. I cannot high quality because it was not but it was definitely fit for eating. The morning breakfast Upma was decent enough to eat. The taste was average but not bad for sure. The lunch sambar, rice was average and curd rice was just water. I mean, the curd rice was not bad in taste but the quality was very poor. So request you guys to try it once and let me know if you like it. If not then comment below.

Cinders Rooftop Barbeque is Rooftop pool view restaurant on top of Comfort Inn Insys, Mathikere. This restaurant is designed for perfection and the ambience is perfect for a couples night out. I was here on the valentine's day and experienced it as a couple. The Cinders Rooftop Barbeque is spacious for mini hangouts and the overlooking pool is just pleasant to the eyes. The midsection is for the buffet and adjacent to it is the live kitchen. On the valentines day, they had a nice couple dinner set up with balloons and etc which was nice. Cinders Rooftop Barbeque is a pretty place for a couple hangout or a small get together. Nice view and decent music will make your day peaceful for sure. Coming to the food, Cinders Rooftop Barbeque is majorly into Barbecue dishes however the other dishes were not so bad at all. I tried chicken roast, mutton pepper fry and barbecue sauce fish, I liked chicken and mutton but fish was not good at all. The only reason is the barbecue sauce is sweet on the fish, therefore, it lacked seafood flavour but all others were good. I tasted almost all the dishes from the buffet and I loved most of them. The best dish was the seafood biryani, mutton fry and cauliflower gravy. All the three were wonderful and of course, the other dishes and desserts were good too. I think this seafood biryani is one of the best seafood biryani I have ever tasted. The meat was well cooked and the flavouring was just perfect. The palak paneer and pasta takes the second place because it was well prepared. The chefs who work here does have a pretty good idea of Bangalore tastebuds which is very important. The well-set menu and placements were perfect to the eyes as well as our tongues. Well done, Cinders & Comfort Inn Insys. 👍
I will give a thumbs up to Cinders Rooftop Barbeque and a double thumbs up to the seafood biryani. Foodies, go and check it out.

Note to all my readers and chefs, please remember one thing, characterise the meat flavouring with the environment they lived-in. Like fish, never ever make it sweet. Make fish either with salt or spice or sour but never sweet because salt and sweet doesn't go well.

Aroma Restaurant, a Buffet Restaurant is a huge place for families to sit and relax. The food ranges from north Indian, south Indian, Mediterranean and Malnad cuisines with a good selection of desserts. This Aroma does have a large seating place inside as well as outside. The best place to experience this place is from the outside because of the natural sight and birds all around you. The Buffet consists of both veg and non-veg kept separately making few vegetarians very happy about it. They also have 2 live kitchens separate for veg and non-veg and they serve mostly grilled or deep fried dishes. My personal favourite would be the amazing chicken dishes, because of its perfection in taste and cooking quality. However, on the negative side, I did have to complain about the lamb which was really undercooked and I experienced this twice. Coming to the pork, they don't serve in their buffet menu however you can ask them to cook for you. The chef is too generous so he will do it. Try some Malnad cuisine as well, because they do prepare some amazing Malnad cuisines. So overall, I think Aroma Restaurant inside Club Mahindra Resort Virajpet is a good place to have good food. Try it once, you will know what I am saying.

The Brew and Barbeque is a popular microbrewery located inside the Soulspace Arena Mall. This lounge is huge, a lot of space inside as well as out. The location might be far to our homes but it's worth a visit, of course, a lot of multinational companies are present near to this mall. The ambience and the bar area is well planned, basically, the place looks cool and a very friendly service is to be noticed.

The Brew and Barbeque serve you both buffet and À la carte menu. The hospitality made it so easy for me to indulge in great food and enhanced my beer experience. The Brew and Barbeque actually serve 3 types of beer namely Hefeweizen, American Pale Ale and Red Indian Ale. Hefeweizen is the most prefered because of its smooth wheat blend. The American Pale Ale is kinda bitter in taste and Red Indian Ale is dark smooth flavoured. The beers were fresh with delightful aroma and taste. My recommendation would be Hefeweizen for the only reason that it goes easy on the tongue. They serve delicious cocktails too like Pina Colada, Long Island Ice Tea and Bellandur Overflow which is their signature cocktail. Coming to the food, they have a well-developed Indian and continental menu for both vegetarians and Non-vegetarians. The well-made vegetarian and non-vegetarian barbeques were good. I tried a lot of dishes in the span of 6 months and frankly they have come a long way by providing food experience to their customers. My favourites would be Garlic Rice, Mutton Curry, chicken lollypop, Pepperoni Pizza and of course delightful desserts. The barbeque was well-made and was matching to the beer flavours what they had. Of course, gave few feedbacks to the chef but ultimately, those are not that huge to even mention it here. So finally, I think The Brew and Barbeque is a nice place to hang out, good food and great beer. Cheers!

MonkeyBox is a startup delivering yummy food to school kids. It might not be the Akshaya Patra for the rich but the quality surely is. MonkeyBox delivers nutritious and tasty meals to school kids serving from 1 to 18 years of age. So this is how it works, as a parent you need to download the app and subscribe to any meal plan. Choose the preferred dishes for your kid based on your kid's likings and your health preferences. Your kid will receive the prefered meal half an hour before your kid's lunch break in their respective schools.

Review:

A risky business running successfully, MonkeyBox is an excellent concept for this generation. For busy working parents, it is very difficult to cook for their children early in the morning but startups like these can help solve this basic problem with ease. MonkeyBox definitely has quite a decent kitchen setup and a very good storage facility. So coming to the food, it is decent enough for any kid and the meal is decently packed. Because it is delivered half an hour before the lunch break, I am not sure about the temperature of the food but the packing is done with perfection including a barcode on each box. The barcode is scanned once the food reaches the school, and the parents will get a notification on their app about the delivery. This gives quite a good connection between the delivery, kid and parent. This also helps parents to keep track of the delivery. Food, however, is of decent quality but the chef managing this seems to be knowledgeable about the nutritional value of the cooked food. So it's a good option for many working parents to opt for this service. But parents, I request you all to cook if not all the times but few times a month for your kids because remember mother is the best chef of all.

But now, you can make your own SGS Non-Veg Chickpet Chicken Donne Biryani with this simple recipe below.

Ingredients

Ingredients for Masala
Mace - 1
Pepper - 5 to 8
Cloves - 4
Cinnamon - 3
Cardamom - 5
Chopped Onion - 1
Ginger - 2 inch
Garlic - 15 cloves
Chillis - 10 (Reduce if you don't like it to be spicy)
Coriander
Mint

Ingredients for Marination
Curd - 1/4 Tbs
chilli powder - 1 Tsp
turmeric - 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Marinate for 1 hour

Ingredients for Biryani
Marinated Chicken Pieces
Jeera Rice/ Any Raw Rice - 1/2 KG
Oil - 5 Tbs
Ghee - 2 Tbs
Cardamom
Bay Leaf
Masala
Ground Tomato - 1
Lemon
Water - 1 litres
Dried Fenugreek Leaves

Method

For Masala

1. Take a mixer jar and fill it with Onion, Ginger, Garlic, Chillis, Coriander, Mint and salt.
2. Add little water and grind it thoroughly.
3. Your masala is ready.

For Biryani

1. Mix ghee, oil inside a cooker and heat it
2. Add Bay Leaf, Cardamom and fry it a little
3. Add marinated chicken
4. Cook it at least for 3 minutes then add masala with salt
5. At least 5 minutes boil it under low flame
6. Add ground tomato.
7. Add water and boil it.
8. 3 minutes after reaching the boiling point, add rice and mix it.
9. Boil it for about 2 minutes.
10. Add Dried Fenugreek Leaves on top
11. Squeeze half lemon
12. Mix it properly and close the lid.
13. 1 whistle until rice is cooked.
15. leave it till the pressure goes, then open the lid and mix it properly.
16. Your Authentic Donne Biryani is ready
17. Serve it on Vistaraku or Sal tree leaves plate.
18. Give a slice of lemon, boiled egg and raita.

Ingredients

Pulao Ingredients

Mutton Pieces - 1/2 KG
Raw Rice - 1KG
Onion - 2
Tomato - 2
Ghee - 2 Tablespoon
Special Masala

Special Masala Ingredients

Ginger/Inji- 2-inch piece
Garlic - 5 cloves
Coriander
Curry leaves
Green chilli
Pudina
Salt

Method

1. Preheat the container with little water
2. Put onion and mutton pieces in a container
3. Add the special masala on the top with ghee and mix it
4. Top it up with little water and cook it.
5. Cook it for at least 1 and half hours.
6. Add more water (1 cup rice = two cups of water) So basically you will be adding 2 litres of water.
7. Add rice into the boiling water.
8. Then add cut tomatoes, mix it thoroughly.
9. Add half slice lemon and close the lid.
10. Spread hot charcoal on top of the lid for extra dum.
11. You can do the same using a cooker however for cooker you don't need to add charcoal.
12. Cook it till the rice gets cooked properly
13. Open the lid and mix it
14. Serve it on Vistaraku or Sal tree leaves plate
15. Give a slice of lemon and onion raita.

The flavouring feels more of bell pepper or capsicum mostly but the smoothness is intense. This instant noodle doesn't stick therefore it is yummy even at cold. The curry noodles don't take much time to cook too, therefore, it's really easy to cook it any time of the day. I am sure, most of you would have tried this curry noodles but if not then I recommend you to try it because its damn delicious.

I have eaten in a lot of places, and I was thinking that Cream and Bakes doesn't impress me that much but I soon realized something amazing about the products which they delivered me. Cream and Bakes offers the best homemade Cupcakes and Cakes. I got a heavy delivery on the evening. When I opened I was surprised to see 2 different cakes filled in heavy bottles. I have not experienced that luxury before. Other than cakes, I got waffles, cupcake and pancake mix. Let me start with the cake, it was one of the freshest cake I have ever eaten. The velvet cake and the other cake was just fresh and yummy. The cupcake was also amazing. The fluffy feel of the chocolate in the centre and outer layer of the hard biscuit was really tasty. I was little disappointed with the waffles because it had become soft or maybe it was too healthy for me. But frankly, I have not seen any startup delivering such a premium quality bakery products. I think Cream and Bakes would make a big noise in few weeks for sure, and I really would love to eat that cake and cupcake again. YUM!

The Maharaja Restaurant in Chikmagalur is one of the famous restaurant suggested by many locals. Located on the I.G road, this place makes some fantastic Arabian or Hyderabadi cuisines. The surprising part was the locals, I mean whoever we met suggested Maharaja Restaurant, therefore, I stepped into this restaurant to know myself why this is so famous. The first time was when I had a casual trip with my fellow bloggers and the second time was when I was on a shoot to explore Chikmagalur. The Maharaja Restaurant serves you a very delicious Arabian or Hyderabadi cuisine with a touch of maharaja special. Some of the dishes names felt basic but the taste was above average. The best or my favorate from this place would be the classic Mutton Biryani. The aroma, the flavours, meat and well-blended spices made the biryani just an excellent dish. The well-cooked meat was also a highlight of the biryani. The chicken biryani was also excellent and yes, it is not the same biryani. Many restaurants make biryani and add meat on top but Maharaja Chef cooks chicken and mutton differently, therefore, the taste is totally different. I am not a big fan of chicken biryani but I actually liked the cooked chicken leg as well as the biryani. Please note that mutton biryani is definitely better than chicken because of its spice levels and the masala. The owner of this restaurant was kind enough to come and give us some insights about the dishes and they provided a unique Indo-Chinese creation something called as the Chicken Chinese Chikmagalur Fry. I definitely loved both the times and of course the desserts were amazing too! So next time if you are planning to go to Chikmagalur don't forget to have excellent biryani at this place.

I am a great fan of UNIBIC cookies, and association or my first tasting session was actually in Hubli during KPL 2016. Every day we used to get dozens of different flavoured cookies and everyone used to love it. Any range you pick up is tasty, from the delicious chocolate range to the healthier one, everything was delicious. Surprisingly even the Oatmeal Digestive Cookies were also delicious so my concept of healthy food not being tasty was destroyed royally by this brand. My all-time favourite would be the Choco Kiss cookies and of course Fruit & Nut Cookies, both are sensational in taste and texture. So I think UNIBIC cookies have really done a marvellous job in creating some wonderful cookies and hope they bring out more flavours into the market.

RRR Hotel is a very old restaurant in mysuru has quite a small history surrounding it. I was aware of this restaurant but I had never visited it. It was purely an accident how I visited this restaurant. On a Monday, I wanted to go to have Hanumanthu Biryani but Monday is a holiday, therefore, I decided to go to RRR hotel and trust me, I didn't regret that decision. RRR Hotel is a contemporary Andhra style restaurant and they serve delicious biryani. The unlimited vegetarian meal option is very famous at this place as well as chicken fry. So how is this place? well! check it out.

RRR Hotel restaurant is a small Andhra place serving some delicious non-veg and veg food. The place is packed all the time and I found it very difficult to even get a table. So they serve food on Banana leaf which I love because the banana leaf gives you an amazing flavour when you put hot food on that. Many people were ordering meals but I thought I should order Mutton Biryani and asked him what is the famous chicken dish, he said chicken pepper dry so I order that one. So the biryani was not authentic Andhra biryani but it was flavourful. The texture was mild and had a fairly cooked meat. The mutton was little rubbery but the well-blended flavours gave an extraordinary taste. The chicken pepper, however, was amazing. Well cooked chicken, decent flavouring but spicy. It gave a very nice taste to the tongue and went well with the biryani I ordered. If Hanumanthu is closed then I think everyone should try RRR biryani, I am sure you won't be disappointed.

This place provides you with the best and the freshest fish ever. Only fish, as the name says serves only fish and nothing else, I mean no chicken or mutton but who wants chicken when you have all types of delicious fish swimming around you. The trademark of this place is the home-made spicy masalas and home-style Konkan cooking. So how is this place you ask? Check the review!

The 'Only Fish' is a place for all the fish lovers. I mean they have all kinds of fishes and all types of delicacies. With a proper twist of Konkani style, only fish is just an amazing place to have the best seafood in Hubli. They serve Pomfret, Prawns, Indian Salmon, Seer, Silver and Carp fish. They serve you naked fried fish or rava fry and both are excellent. For all the spicy lovers I think you should try naked fried fish and people who like less spice should try Rava fry but both are excellent. They also serve white and brown rice with Konkani Style fish curry and it is a must try. The options are less but I request you all to try it once. By the way, many might not know the location right so trust google maps for this and many might suggest Fish Land but money for Only Fish.

With the debate circling around finding the original Hotel Hanumanthu in mysuru, I got an opportunity to explore and find out the real history of this ancient restaurant. Hotel Hanumanthu currently located in 8 different places serves delicious aroma filled biryanis. This restaurant is divided among the relatives of Sri Hanumanthu, therefore, finding the authentic place was little difficult. Of course, all the recipes are similar but the best one is still preserved at one particular location. As most of you know, I was a part of Karnataka Premier League season 6 and if you remember Dean Jones video of Hanumanthu. The restaurant which Dean went was NOT the real Hotel Hanumanthu. Shocked? Well! even I was when I discovered. I cannot say the Hotel Hanumanthu that dean went was fake but it is not where it all started!

Where is the original?

The original Hotel Hanumanthu actually started in a small house located on the Rathna Simha Street. This house is a small one-room flat located on the first floor. The story goes that Sri Hanumanthu used to cook Pulao here when he used to go to wrestling. Then the neighbours felt the taste and told him to set up a shop at Akbar Rd Cross. This story happened in the year 1930 and most of the people have forgotten. The first-floor house was also converted into a hotel and apparently, they prepare authentic Hanumanthu biryani than the shop which is on the other side. The sources told me that Akbar Rd Cross Hanumanthu has a larger kitchen, therefore, they cook a lot of biryani and distribute to other Hanumanthus in Mysuru but the one which I went has a separate kitchen facility and the taste is different.

Review:

The food at the original Hotel Hanumanthu at Rathna Simha Street is far more superior than other Hanumanthu. From the taste to the aroma, everything defers. Maybe the other Hanumanthu restaurants have become more commercialized but not this. The place was empty and only like 2 or 3 people came inside to have Biryani. Talking to a person inside the restaurant, he told me that many don't know that this has a different kitchen setup, therefore, they usually don't see the difference between the other Hanumanthu. I was under doubt but I got a clarity when I had biryani at other Hanumanthu. It was different!

So to conclude, the original Hotel Hanumanthu makes different biryani than the other commercialised restaurants but no Hanumanthu is fake. The owner of this first-floor house/restaurant is H.Vasu who is the son of Sri Hanumanthu.

Launching food rocket in Bengaluru, Johnny Rockets has entered into the city airspace. With promising American experience, this place is just awesome for hang out and food. Introducing mini burgers which also looks like vada pav is a delicious option for someone who would like to have more starters than the main meal. The starters are delicious at this place and my favourite would be spicy sausage and chicken strips. Coming to the mini burgers, nothing that fancy to be frank but the meat felt fresh. I had ordered Lamb and I could taste that tenderness and freshness in the meat. The best at Johnny Rockets would be the delicious Shakes and mainly strawberry, trust me, I am not a big fan of strawberry flavour but this shake was well-made with real strawberry pulp, therefore, it tasted awesome. So finally I think Johnny Rockets are doing a wonderful job but I would be happier if the staffs are more enthusiastic in serving than dancing.

Ambrosia is a quality restaurant which provides good food. From new contemporary flavours to some local delicacies, Ambrosia definitely gives promising menu options on the buffet. Chef Suresh Babu who is the Executive Chef has brought in an in-depth knowledge of the food industry and culinary expertise to the table therefore whatever you eat will taste delicious. I personally liked many of dishes, if not all but I would really recommend this place for a good dining experience. I tried few of the dishes here namely
Celebrity Babycorn (veg) - Weird name? but the taste was five star. If you know what I mean.
Vegetable Treasure Bag (veg) - Vegetable Treasure Bag was well made and was unique.
Khumb Sabzi Galouti (veg)
Badami Murgh (non-veg) - Decent dish
Lebanese Lamb Chops (non-veg) - One of my favourite dish, the lamb was cooked to perfection and the flavour was just heavenly.
Fish Polichadhu (non-veg) - I did not like it as I felt that the flavours didn't go well with the fish. However, the fish was perfectly cooked.

So finally, I think this restaurant is a promising restaurant in touch and of course even the resort. I would love to do a staycation and experience more of this property but for now, I am only impressed with Ambrosia. A double thumbs up!

A place called 'Go Native' will just revive the memories of your native with its authentic food and antique marketplace. Looks like a renovated village house, Go Native features more than just food. Sharing the pleasures of sustainable living, this does tell a story of living by nurturing our health, environment and community.

Go Native is a nice hangout place and for those who love ancient things but trust me the taste of their cuisines are surely new. Of course, the food is vegetarian but it is little different or I could say mixed. They serve you historic Paddu to the burger and fries. They also serve contemporary cuisine like Bise Bele millet fritters will surely surprise you and your hungry tongue. On the whole, Go Native did make a positive impact on me because of the creativity which went into making each dish. My favourites at this place are Mangalore buns, Kathal/jackfruit biryani and of course, Raggi Pancake was heavenly. The pricing, however, might be a little pinch but comparing to the quality of food, I am sure you wouldn't regret spending. Make sure, you roam around the place, make a pot (mud pot), shop some nice clothing materials and antiques. Do visit and do let me know what you think.
