It was a perfect frizzy hair, warm rainy day.

Heidelberg, Germany is one of my favorite towns in Germany so far. It was so pretty every where you looked. Zak had a Thursday off, so we were finally able to get out and explore.

ZAK was loving it when I would take his picture!

Even the views walking into town were beautiful. We stopped off at a cute little restaurant and had some awesome Schnitzel und Pommes.

Then time to finish walking the town and head up towards the castle.

So many great things to see, but one of my favorite parts was the wine cave ;)

Only thing left to do is go back down the pathway and checkout the bridge close up.

We ended our day with a touch of the Monkey's mirror. They say it will bring good luck. So far its brought us sickness & car troubles, so we are hoping the lucky part is just around the corner ;) Make sure to check this town out if you can, and if you have questions send me a message. Christian Louboutin Hawaii Collection

So I had to write about Christian Louboutin Spring/Summer collection as soon as it arrived in my email. I am loving the looks of this collection so I thought I would show you my favorites. Staring off with some cute sandals. The Olydia Flat is a mix of style and comfort which goes perfectly in Hawaii for beach wear or a Luau.

Next up is hands down my favorite heel in this collection. It isn't over the top, in your face print. It is simple yet beautiful. This would be great for night on the town or a bit fancier Luau. It is the Cross Blake 120mm High Heel.

Some of the accessories were just so pretty and they did such a great job designing them, that I want to buy this purse in hopes that I can go to Hawaii sometime soon and use it :)

Louis Vuitton Neverfull MM in Monogram...

There are a few things I wanted to buy before moving back to the USA, and this Louis Vuitton bag is one of them. I had told my husband Zak that I wanted to get something from Louis Vuitton before we go back home, and I had mentioned this bag. So on Halloween this year (which is Zak's Birthday) my husband came home with a surprise for me. I was so shocked and happy and thought it was so sweet that he thought about doing this on his own birthday. He said he had been saving up for it and could do it so he wanted to get it for me. I thought I would put up some pictures and do a type of UnBoxing for you.

Ulm Minster, Germany Ulmer Münster, Deutschland

ULM MINSTER

What an amazing experience this was. Walking up to Ulm Minster was breathtaking. The height alone was powerful enough, not to mention its beauty. Zak & I took Cristina & Suzanne to Ulm after our visit to Hohennagold(my previous post).

You can see I couldn't even get the entire church/cathedral in the picture.

So we went in and was able to see some of the beauty inside before our journey up to the top.

So now is the time for the climb to the top. No elevators in here, and also really tight spaces. As you know I am out of shape and overweight right now, so this is something I had to do. This Cathedral is the tallest church in the world and has 768+ stairs that go up a spiraling tight staircase.

OK HERE WE GO....

The way up is very hard. Your mind can play tricks on you, and you feel like you can't stop much because others come up behind you and can't pass by, but we push on and see beautiful things on the way up.

Just when you think you have made it to the top, they have an even smaller spiral staircase to the top where people have to go both up and back down in. So I took a seat and was going to quit and say I was close enough. It took a good 20 minutes before I got up and decided to go for it.

Finally at the top and so many beautiful things to see, even some red balloons!

Time to go back down and get back to reality and plant my feet on the sweet flat ground.

Hohennagold Castle

Hohennagold Castle & trip to the Worlds tallest cathedral. We have a family member & her friend visiting us for a couple days as they backpack through Europe. So we wanted to go to some fun places. Hubby(Zak) came up with a pretty good game plan. We drove from Stuttgart & first stop took about 1.5 hours to get there. We found a parking spot (possibly private parking spot), and headed off to climb a long steep hill. Of couse I am completely out of shape and was complaining & taking breaks every couple of minutes, but the sweat was worth it when we finally made it to the top.

So once we hit the top I sat down on the closest thing I could find, rested/de-sweated and started taking pictures and loved looking at the Castle.

This Castle was built in 1100 then they made it bigger in 1153 & 1162. Lots of destruction came to this Castle with the 30 year war & in 1945 a tower was destroyed then later restored to preserve this Castle as a ruin.

Sadly this was the last picture taken at this beautiful place. We walked about 5,000 steps and was very excited to be walking downhill instead of back up. We grabbed a quick ButterBrezel in town and took off for our next destination.. So next blog will be about the tallest Cathedral in the world (yes we climbed to the top so come back soon for that)

Homemade Marshmallows

I just made some Homemade Marshmallows and I just had to share my experience with you. I am not the best baker in the world, and there are many things I've never heard of yet alone tried to make. Marshmallows is for sure something I never thought Id be making. These turned out pretty simple to make, but not sure I could have done them without my Kitchen Aide. You need to whip whip whip for a long time and I would hate to sit there with a hand mixer if I didn't have to. I was able to do a load of dishes while it was mixing :)

After the whipping was done it was time to color the mixture, prepare the pan and let the Marshmallows cool and set for 2+ hours.

The powder sugar / cornstarch mixture is key to making the Marshmallows turn out right. Time to cut them up and shake them up in all the sugar so they wont stick together.

Starting to look good. One more hour to set and then its time to test them out.

YUMMY!!! Nothing says Christmas like a skull mug & pink marshmallows ;) So I made green ones to & put together packages for Zak's work and our neighbors.

I think they turned out pretty great and look cute. Kids would love these. If you want to try these for yourself comment below and I will send you a screen shot of the Recipe. I found it in a magazine, and I can't find the exact recipe online :)

Ludwigsburg Christmas Market

Zak & I were feeling like we needed a good date night, and wanted to get in the Christmas spirit. He was finally back home after being away for 7 weeks so we were due a night on the town. We ventured out to Ludwigsburg, which is a city in Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany. They have a christmas market there that we just had to see.

It wouldn't be a Christmas Market without Santa :)

We really had a great time seeing all the beautiful sites & shopping around at all the wonderful little shops. If your in the area I wouldn't pass up this Market, and make sure to come when its dark so you can see all the great christmas lights. After the market we found a great Italian Restaurant and Zak had a Parma Calzone & I had Spaghetti Carbonara. It was all great and a decent price, so If I can find a receipt I will add the name later. We also went to the Esslingen Christmas Market when Zak was back for a couple days during Thanksgiving, So that will be my next post.

Annie Sloan: A Table to Match

A table to match.

Well I decided since I had left over paint from my previous restoration it was time to finish our dining room table. While painting our home back in Utah a couple years ago we didn't cover up our furniture like we should have. So the table had spots of paint all over it. Not to mention wear & tear.

This was the part where I thought "What in the heck were you thinking Brianna Jeanne".. I had to push on and trust my first instinct that it will all work out. This is also when I decided I will wait to paint the chairs. Now the finished table~

I love that I decided not to paint the chairs for now, because its a good contrast and helps things from being to white. Also I would so paint our walls be we only have two years left & we would have to paint them white again before we leave, so I decided not to bother. Next thing to work on is getting a bigger better rug :) Thanks all. Come check out the links below,

Annie Sloan China Cabinet Restoration

I never thought my arch nemesis could be a china cabinet, but boy was I wrong. In the end though, we became the best of friends :) I thought I would explain a bit of my restoration on this china cabinet.

I knew right away what colors and brand of paint I wanted to try. I had been eyeing Annie Sloan Chalk Paint for a real long time. I loved the colors florence & old white. I bought samples of them while I was back in the states visiting & fell in love with the colors and how easy the paint was to work with. I bought my cabinet at a thrift store where I am living. I didn't pay much, and it isn't to old, so I wasn't worried about painting it.

HERE is the before picture:

It is a very pretty piece even without painting it, but it had many issues that needed to be fixed. Once I dove into the project I found many many issues that made this much harder then I thought it would be.

Annie Sloan paint is known for being easy to use. Not needing to prime or sand your furniture before hand. So I took that to heart without thinking and painted a coat of Old White the the bottom piece. Because of all the stains and the stain that was on this they would soak through the paint and appear again. So I tried some primer and that did the trick. I was going to use clear shellac but couldn't find it anywhere. Below is some of the stains.

Next up was this mess. Any clue how hard it is to remove 20 year + old contact paper? VERY. Ok so I researched easier ways to get rid of the paper. What I did was get a blow dryer and spray bottle with water in it. I would spray the paper with water and use the blow dryer on high heat and it would start to peel. You do this over & over until its done. It took me about 3 hours to remove it all.

After it was removed there was a sticky mess left behind. It to wasn't easy to clean up. I did more research and bought a product called Goo Be Gone. It worked wonders and I was done quick.

So more issues I ran into was some cracks in the wood. Ive never used wood filler so for some reason I was intimidated. It ended up being the easiest part of this process. Just fill in the gaps, let dry and sand off the extra.

To make things easier I took off the glass/doors/shelves and hardware I wasn't planning on painting. The paint is so much fun to work with. I wanted a pretty thick coverage so I did two coats. The paint is very very thick. So second coat I watered down a bit and it spread nicely.

One coat in on the Old White. I wanted a bit more coverage because I planned to do some distressing at the end. I had some o.k. paint brushes I used from the BX. I used different sizes & some angled ones to get in the corners.

ALMOST done. All that was left was some clear wax & some dark wax. Clear wax is a breeze. Dark wax is a lot scarier. I just rubbed a little on at a time, and used a clean rag right after to whip up the excess. Ok guys here is the final After pictures...........

Next up I wanted to show how colors and items will look inside.

I think they look so CUTE. I also love it with the blankets & pillow.

Well this has been my favorite project I've done in a very long time, or forever really. I enjoyed is so much. It took many many hours and although some of them were difficult I loved every moment. I have a lot of time on my hands in Germany, and I think I found my new Hobby and love. Hope you like it guys and thanks for reading and looking.

Easter Weekend In Italy Day One

Easter Weekend in Venice, Italy! (A little bit late, but still Beautiful)

Well Zak & I were lucky enough to go see his Dad in Italy over Easter weekend 2014. We decided our first day we would go to Venice, Italy. This will mainly be pictures, but I hope you enjoy them. Let me know in the comments what you think, & what your favorite vacation spots are.

So day 1 of the Easter Vacation was amazing! We ate at an amazing little restaurant with some darn good food paired with sparkling water of course. It might not look like much(picture below), but it was so good. I have yet to eat something I didn't like in Italy. Stay tuned for day 2 post of our Easter weekend Holiday.

5 Samples I tested out this week.

I have always been a fan of Biolage products, but I had yet to try the "Aqua-Immersion Creme Masque Deep Moisture for Dry/Very Dry Hair". My hair has been very dry here in Germany and I am not sure if it is because there is no water softener or what, but I am at the point where Im willing to try anything. I shampoo'd my hair like normal, then I used this in place of a conditioner. I left it on for about 5 minutes then rinsed. Although there was only enough of a sample to try once I loved what it did to my hair. It really felt like it brought some of the moisture back into my hair. It looked a little more shiny and was easier to detangle as well. I will be purchasing this so I can use it 2 times a week. Look for this product where Biolage is sold.

Next up is the Fresh "Soy Face Cleanser". I was not loving the smell at first, but it wasn't anything I couldn't get over. I was able to cleanse my face 3 times with this sample. It did seem to work fine and remove any makeup I had left. Since I was only able to use a few times I can't decide if I will purchase or not. My face is very sensitive so Im always curious if something will break me out or not. They do have smaller sizes if you want to test out for yourself.

Next is a product I was looking forward to trying. I went and got a sample of the Nars "Sheer Glow Foundation" in Mont Blanc. As long as my skin is exfoliated before I use this it works perfectly. I have used this sample for 2 weeks now and I have fallen in love with it. As long as you find the right color I think it would work fabulous with all skin types. My skin is dry.

Another Nars product that I have sampled for a few weeks is the "Super Orgasm Illuminator" I love the look it gives me. I use this to highlight right above my blush. It helps make the skin stand out and look healthy. Only thing I hate about some of Nars products is the names they call things. They know there major consumers are teenagers and I don't think they need to be naming the makeup products like this one :)

Last up is the Chanel Mascara "10 Noir". I did like this mascara and it didn't clump up like some do, BUT there wasn't anything special about it, and it is very expensive so I will not be purchasing this again.

Sample Sunday

You know how you buy makeup or beauty products and you get samples? Then you are so excited about them and you cant wait to try them, but then they pile up or get old before you use them and they just go to waste. Well I decided I wanted utilize them and do a weekly post called sample sundays. Sometimes the samples are very small so I will just be giving my first impression review on those.

OH SO MANY SAMPLES TO DECIDE FROM :)

I am starting off with the "Korres Greek Yoghurt Advanced Nourishing Sleeping Facial" I have used this about 5 times in 2 weeks. This was a generous sample so I was able to test it out for awhile. I found my skin to be a bit brighter when I would wake up in the morning and I would look like my skin was refreshed. I didn't notice it help my dry skin though. My face was still dry and patchy in certain places. Overall I would recommend this for dry skin, but if you have extremely dry skin like mine don't expect it to drastically improve the moisture of your skin :)

Next up is "OleHenriksen ultimate lift eye gel". I have been using this product for 3 weeks now. I apply it under my eyes and under the brow bone. My eyes looked so much better while I was using this. When applying makeup I noticed the lines were less noticeable. Without makeup on my eyes looked refreshed & wide awake. I would for sure recommend this if your looking to try out another product. It is for all skin types and is anti-aging.

I love my "Estee Lauder Idealist" I got this sample, but I happen to own a big bottle of it. This is used as a pore minimizing treatment that you put on after you moisturize your skin, and before you put on foundation. I love the smell of it. It is so refreshing. Reminds me of cucumber and lemons. My makeup and pores always look much better when I use this product.

Next up is "Mi Corazon by Oscar de la Renta" Unfortunately this was a fail for me. It was to strong, and it is the type of perfume you can almost taste on the tip of your tongue. It reminds me of something my grandma would have, so maybe it would be popular for the cute older ladies :)

I thought I would add a Coffee product to this. "Gevalia Kaffe, House Blend in Medium/Dark" We were sent a sample in the mail. My husband is the coffee drinker of the family so I had him try it. He likes his coffee black and strong. He said this coffee was easy to drink, but didn't have much kick to it. He would buy it again if it was cheap enough.

Friday Favorites & GIVEAWAY

I wanted to share some of my favorites for the week. It has been so crazy trying to adjust to living in Germany, but I think I am starting to get better at it. I still need to take some German classes so I can go out and not make to big of a fool or myself :)

I was going through some old pictures the other day, and one of my favorite pics is of my sweet sweet Grandma & two of my sisters. If you would of known this lady you would love her like we all do. We all miss her so much, but I see her spirt and personality all the time in my Momma and family. We were at Hogle Zoo in Utah & it was a fun day. Do you remember those little machines where you could make something out of wax? Well I got a wax mold of 3 monkeys, and I also used the machine where you smash pennies.

I also had a few favorite makeup items I turned to a lot this week. I didn't use the Naked 3 palette when it came out at first, but lately I have been LOVING the colors. They all Mix and Match so fabulously together. Then you pair it with another favorite which is the Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara.. My eye makeup can tend to run, but using the bottom lash mascara not only helps with looking like your lashes are fuller but the mascara doesn't run all over when I use it.

My all time favorite for the week, and Months is my Christian Dior Creme de Rose lip balm. This has been a life savor. I breathe from my mouth when I sleep, so dry and chapped lips are always an issue. I have found that when I put this on right before I go to bed, I wake up and my lips are hydrated and smooth. I also LOVE the smell. It is just perfect. I plan to give these as birthday gifts because I love it so much & I know others will as well.

Trip to the ER

My six day stay in a German Hospital. What, when, where, why? Well it all started Friday May 2nd. I decided to take a nap on my couch and when I woke up the entire left side of my face was tingling and a little numb. It felt like I had got a shot at the dentist and it was just starting to wake up. At first I thought it was just the weird way I slept on it and it would wake up quick. Hours later it still hadn't got better. I was lucky enough to have a place on Facebook where people helped and gave me the number to my insurance 24/7 nurse hotline. I called and gave them the symptoms and he told me I needed to call 911 and get to the ER immediately. Well here in Germany it is not 911 & I had no clue what to do, and my husband happened to be hours away in Austria on a fishing trip. So I called my friend Sydney and she & her husband were coming home from a fest so she came and picked me up. So at 11:30 PM (or was is 1 AM) we were off to the hospital Robert Bosch which is a 5 minute drive. We checked in and Sydney helped me fill the paperwork out because I have never had to do anything like this. We got in the back and everyone was nice and they spoke some english. They first took blood pressure, then suction cup'd me up to an EKG machine. It looked normal so they needed to do a CT scan to see if they could see anything. I sent Sydney home because they said I wouldn't be leaving anytime soon. The CT scan was quick then around 3 AM they took me to a semi-private room and hooked me up with a catheter to take blood, and on a 24/7 blood pressure machine. By 8 AM I was ready to go home. Breakfast went by, then so did lunch. They didn't find anything wrong with CT scan so they wanted to transfer me to a hospital that specialized in Neurology. I had called Zak in the afternoon and told him, and he started driving home to come see me. The paramedics came and got me and I took my first drive ever in a German ambulance. When I arrived and was all checked in at Marien Hospital they had me do a couple tests then took me to a semi-private room with 5 other people. With only one curtain dividing the other side of the room. So I could see the two ladies next to me. So saturday mainly was sitting in a bed and waiting for night to come. I really liked the nurse that helped me, so was pretty good at english and made me feel very comfortable. I got very little sleep with all the beeping and pressure machine going off every hour, and the apparent nightmares the poor lady next to me was having. Morning came and they weren't sure what tests I would be doing. Thankfully Zak came in time to bring me some clothes saturday night, so I was able to clean up a bit. He also came sunday morning and saved me by bringing my laptop, dvd's, magazines, lotion, and some lovely wet wipes.

Even though I was in a hospital I felt dirty and felt like the bathroom would be dirty. Maybe that was because I shared it with 5 others, or maybe it was due to the fact that you would see the people next to you using bed pans in bed... Im a very private person in that regard, and I was very thankful I was able to walk around and get up to use the restroom. Sunday was another Lazy day of NOTHING! Zak was cleared to bring me lunch, so he brought some Popeye's Chicken and it was so good. First big thing I was able to eat in a couple days. So toward the end of the day they took me up a few floors to a new room with only ONE other person. YAY. She seemed like such a sweet lady, but didn't speak any English. Night time came and I watched a movie Zak brought for me (Bride Wars) and went to sleep. Monday finally came, and I when I woke up I got a great breakfast of breads, jam and tea. Right after breakfast they came in and said I had a test to go to. Thankfully I was able to walk around and go to the tests on my own. I don't remember what all the tests were called, but I will explain them as best as I can. First up was and ultrasound of my heart. Very awkward how its all set up. They have a tiny room with two workers in it and a tiny curtain and they tell you to take top off and bra then lay down. Not sure why there is a curtain at all. It went very quick and he tried talking in German and I had to ask for english and he said heart looked fine. Next test was another CT scan(actually took that one on saturday when I arrived). Zak arrived and they sent me down to get an MRI. Meanwhile Zak was there keeping me company. Zak went into work and they called me down for the test that finally broke me. They set me on the bed, and this time the two ladies doing the tests didn't speak great english so it was hard to understand. They started by putting three needles in my head that were hooked to little wires, they then put a device on me meant to check nerves in my body to make sure they are working correctly. They tell you to stay very still and they start putting shock waves up your arms and neck. Half of it was done, and they were about to start again when I started crying. I think the needles in my head put me over my emotional limit. The pain wasn't that bad, but the crying came anyways. It is just so weird to go from perfectly fine to staying in a hospital for this long. I had never spent one night in a hospital before, so staying in a German hospital where some speak english and some don't, and the ones that do still have a hard time explaining what the tests Im taking are for. Anyways I got over my cry spell and went back to my room. An hour later I was off to another test which literally made me feel like Frankenstein hooked up to an electric chair. They sat me down, put a shower cap looking thing on me with holes in it, then started putting Electrodes(small metal disks) on my scalp which they connected to wires that are connected to an electrical box. They then make sure plenty of paste is on your head so not to disturb anything. Then the best part is the jumper cable looking things they put on each wrist. One was black and one was red. This test is called EEG i believe. Finally my tests were over for the day I was able to speak to the doctor. He told me all test so far were good and they showed that I did NOT have a stroke or brain bleed. He said it was possible I might get to leave the next day. So tuesday came and they sent me right down to get a test done. I was So devastated because I thought Id be leaving. They don't tell you what the test is, they just give you the room number and tell you to go asap. I got down there and right away I was a little snippy. The poor girl talked me through it and tried to explain what it was for. It turns out all it was is that they wanted to hook me up on a portable 24/7 blood pressure machine again, for 24 hours.. CRAP, guess I am staying again. Well the day went on and on forever since that was the only test left to do. Only things keeping me sane were calls to home, Zak coming to visit, knowing that I will be going home the next day, and the sweet lady next to me that would make sure to say good appetite to me every time our meals came. I watched Maid of Honor, and Bridget Jones Diary and then the nurse came to finally take out the catheter since I wouldn't be needing it anymore. OH MY HECK, who knew the most pain I would feel the entire stay would be her pulling that off my apparently hairy arm :)

Went to sleep and woke up excited and so ready to go home. I felt perfectly fine since my face was back to normal 24 hours after it started. The doctor came and told me once they came and discharged me I would be good to go home. They never figured out why my face did that, but a lot of the scary things were ruled out so that was good. About 7 HOURS later I got my discharge papers and went home to see my doggy Moose and rest in my own bed. Wanted to thank everyone for all the help and Zak's work for the calls and food they sent over. I sure missed having my family around, but thankfully Zak has a great group of people he works with. Also thanking my hubby for the pretty flowers he brought. The food at the Hospital was ok for the most part, which included so much bread that I couldn't eat it for a week after I left. There is one meal that I loved and it looked like this:

I also had a pretty great view. The hospital was very attentive and nice. I felt taken care of. Even though I was itching to leave it was good they had me stay for test. Thank everyone for the support. LOTS OF LOVE!!

Frühlingsfest

GREAT to see the Koch name representing ;)

Another first for me happened this last weekend. We went to Frühlingsfest (Spring Fest) in Stuttgart. I had no Idea what to expect. I thought it would mainly be beer tents and food, but I was mistaken. I have never been to anything quite like it. Men, Women and Kids all dressed up in there Lederhosen or Dirndls. It is the first time I was able to see everyone dressed like that. I loved it. Of course some are able to pull the outfits off better then others, but anyone who dares dress in them gets an A+ in my book. I was not ready to stroll around in a Dirndl, so I wore jeans & a t-shirt. Maybe the last year I am here. Many people don't dress up, but MANY do. This festival in Bad Canstatt, Germany is the largest spring festival in Europe. I feel very lucky to live only a few miles away from it. It is unbelievable what they are able to set up in a couple of weeks time. Here are some of the rides & places to eat.

We are going to try to find some tickets and go once more during the night time and enjoy the lights and festival fun when its not as hot out. You don't need tickets during the day time so don't sweat it if you want to go during the day. It was Free to get in. You would just pay for the rides or food you wanted to try. Fasching German Style

What is Fasching? Well before moving to Germany I had never heard of this. So I thought I would try to get the word out, because it just might be worth the trip. Fastnacht / Fasching comes from the word 'fasting'. It starts a week before Ash wednesday when the 40 day of Lent begins. Here in Germany they use this time to celebrate, eat, drink, dance, and be happy. They want to be able to enjoy themselves to the fullest before lent begins.

Zak and I decided to go to the Fasching parade in Weil-der-Stadt,
Germany. We heard all great things about this place. When we first arrived and started walking into town you got a sense of community spirit & pride. We got there 2 hours early, because I hate being late or missing things. We grabbed some pizza, explored the area and got in line because things started getting busy.

It was time

for the celebrations to begin. Push beer & alcohol bars started cruising the parade route, and the donut stand opened up next to us so I couldn't resist trying those. People are eating, drinking, singing and visiting with family and friends in the streets and you can feel the happiness coming off of everyone. I wasn't sure what to expect, but this parade just blew my mind. Just check out the pictures and you will understand.

Shopping Haul

Huge shopping Haul coming at you guys. I bought this stuff a few months ago, but I am finally able to write about it. Some of these products have become my favorites so I will fill you in on what to buy & what to think twice about :)

A bag full of so many fun things from Victoria Secret, Sephora, Macy's, Target & Nordstrom.

I got Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb Perfume, and Marc Jacobs Daisy Rollerball Perfume. I had already bought the full spray version of Daisy, so I knew how incredibly delicious it smelled. I wanted the Roll on to stick in my purse to travel easily with me. The Viktor & Rolf was a recommendation from a fabulous You Tuber so I wanted to test it out. I can't even explain how beautiful this perfume smells. It does have a flowery sent, but it is not Over powering. Some perfumes can give me a headache so I was pleased to find these products and would recommend them to anyone. Make sure to test out before buying if your not sure.

Love these LC Lauren Conrad Earrings. The Bows are so cute! When I wear earring I turn to these more often then not.

Cute Hair Bands. Only issue with these is they seemed a little loose, & I even have a bigger sized head.

One of my favorite hair products in long time has to be the Macadamia Deep Repair Masque. Anytime my hair feels dry, or lots of breakage or it needs a little love I condition it with this. It works wonders every time, and I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

The Elf brushes were great to use a few times, but don't last like others. The Elf Liquid Liner dried up after first time I used it, and it also didn't work or stay on my eyes well. The Victoria Secret bag in the back is so cute and perfect size for traveling. The VS mints were good if needing a buck or two to use up a gift card. Rimmel Scandal Eyes are great & a great price for how well they work and stay in place. Dior Addict Lip Maximizer & Addict Lip Glow are amazing & worth every penny. One helps heal dry/chapped lips and the other brings out your natural lip color. Age Rewind Brightener helps my under eyes when they look a bit tired. Clinique bottom lash Mascara is perfect & helps you coat every lash for optimal coverage & volume. I have yet to try the other products in the picture so I will review those later. A quick post on a Jewelry line I just discovered. Ok so I might be a little slow on finding this place, but hey I got there eventually. My friend Danica sells this line on her online boutique site (Click Here to check it out). I was so excited that she was able to ship to an APO address.
When I opened the box I was surprised by the way the Jewelry came. It was wrapped in tissue paper with a sticker of guarantee. Then each item was in its own burlap style bags with a cute bird cut out attached.

After seeing how cute they came I was already in love (I am a sucker for cute packages). My favorite bracelet I have bought in a long time came in this cute bag. It is called Crystal Bow & it has a leather double wrist wrap. It is so cute on. Beware it runs a bit small, so if you have bigger wrists it will be tight on.

I also bought a cute little ring, called the Pearl Fly Ring. It is adorable!

I am very happy with my order. The jewelry isn't cheap, but its not overly priced because the quality is great. Thanks Danica :)

San Marino

Well guys its time to talk about the rest of my trip to Parma, Italy & our quick trip to the small European Country of San Marino.

After the awesome day of touring beautiful Parma we took off to meet Craig at his work, and get a tour of his plant, and how jobs work in Italy. It is called Terex Port Solutions. Check out there webpage because you wouldn't believe what they put together there. It is located in Lentigione, Italy.

We left, went for a ride to see some amazing homes. I love love Italian style homes, especially ones that look like you are in Tuscany. We then took a walk down by a river because Zak wanted to check out the local fishing habits :) It was beautiful, and I can only imagine how pretty it would be in summertime. I hope to go back for a walk there in the summer.

After we got back to the Hotel we met up with Craig and one of his co-workers and went to find a place to eat. Fun fact about Parma is that most restaurants don't even open until 7:30 PM or so. We went to a restaurant called "Trattoria Corrieri", and I will never forget it, because the food I had was so amazing, and the best I have eaten since moving to Europe. We had fried pocket bread & you put meat and cheese into the center of it. Not just any cheese either, no it was chunks of authentic 'Parma' cheese. I can't even explain to you the rest of my meal. It was a type of cream filled noodle in a broth soup. Zak had some pasta that looked like green beans, but it was delicious. I also don't drink often, but I had a red wine that was so amazing. I normally go for whites, or sweet wine but the red complemented our meal. I really recommend trying this place out if you are ever in the area.

So we went back to our hotels happy and ready to rest for our trip to San Marino the next morning. So if you know me, then you realize I got up a little grumpy because I love to sleep in. We went down for breakfast and I tried my first cappuccino ever. With a lot of sugar added it was good;) We were ready now for our trip. It was only a couple hour drive there and I loved to see the beautiful homes along the way. It is just so extraordinary being able to see places which you never dreamed you'd see. Once in town it was a bendy journey to the top, but something we wouldn't change. They have a tram ride before you start to go up, but we decide to drive & go for a hike to the castles instead. There are 3 castles at the top that we went to and they were awesome. The views however is what takes the cake.

Trip to Parma, Italy

Well Ladies & Gents it has been awhile yet again. I have yet to improve my weight situation since my last post, but that is a story for a different day. This post is about the adventures on our first trip since moving to Stuttgart, Germany. We will be here for at least 3 years and it has all been quite the culture shock, but I have finally started to get a few things down. I can drive around a bit (with GPS of course), and there are a few local thrift/ second hand & antique shops I dare to go in on my own. I still have yet to learn the language but I am hoping to take classes soon.

Not long after arriving we planned a trip to go see Zak's dad who works in Parma, Italy on occasion. We headed out January 9th for a drive to Parma. It took about 6 hours to get there and we passed some awesome places along the way, including Switzerland. I plan to visit there sometime and will have more pictures for you, but for now here is a couple things we passed by.

After paying for a lot of toll roads driving through Italy, we finally arrived in Parma. We drove to the hotel Zak's dad got for us. It was called Hotel Farnese. They had such awesome people working there and they were more then willing to help out in anyway possible. They have a good Restaurant there and a killer breakfast. We decided to chill out after the drive and walk the dog. Meaning Zak walked the dog & I took a nap :)

When Craig arrived we went and did a little shopping and ate some killer pizza. I can't remember the name of the Restaurant but I will check it out when we go there again in a month. The next day Craig(Dad) had to work so we went to downtown Parma & did some sight seeing. There are so many beautiful places, statues, churches and etc. Majority of them I couldn't read the meanings or writing, but we still enjoyed the culture.

April Favorites

I am so excited to be doing my first ever April favorites. I have such a big amount of things I am loving this past month that I just had to share. Starting with my favorite fashion clothes and accessories. Skull this and skull that. I am loving it all. Starting with the fabulous skull bracelet I received from my amazing sister who makes/designs jewelry. This bracelet goes with anything. For a casual day out, to an evening date. Moving on to the darling necklace. I like that its not to harsh of a skull, but has a little rock n roll to it. I bought this in a store called Bohme for $20, BUT I found it on Amazon later for half the price. You can check this hot thing here:

*Last of the skull items is the scarf. It is my second favorite! The pink scarf with the gold skulls is so so beautiful on. I get compliments every time I wear it :) So I couldn't find the exact one I bought, but I found one that I think is BEAUTIFUL. Check it out here: SKULL SCARF

*I am also LOVING my Coach shoes. I found them at Hill Air Force Base, so I got and amazing deal. I bought the Brown and Black so I could wear them with pretty much anything. They are way cute with Jeans and would look cute with leggings also. I couldn't find these on amazon, but if you search Macy's or a big retail place you should be able to find them.







BEAUTY FAVORITES :)

*I love my camo makeup bag. It fits my day to day makeup and supplies I need. *Essie nail polish in Turquoise & Caicos is a pretty mix of blue and green. You need to add two coats to get the best color. You can look at and buy it here if you love the color like I do: Essie Turquoise & Caicos
*Embryolisse Lait-Creme Concentre is my favorite moisturizer. I just pat in onto my face and let it soak in. I seen it while watching PixiWoo on YouTube. So I purchased it and have loved it ever since. You can pick your own up here if interested: EMBRYOLISSE
*Mac lipstick and lipgloss tend to be a favorite of mine. These two colors combined are so cute. Natural with a spark of pink. *Maybelline The Falsies has been a favorite for awhile now. I even did a review on this product a couple months ago. I am just in love with it. Check it out here: The Falsies
*Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation is pure delight. I normally shy away from products that have a smell to them, because they can break me out. However this does not. It has a fresh scent to it that just makes me happy every time I apply it. Only problem with this foundation is finding your true color. So if your in USA search E-bay and Amazon for your correct color because you can't buy this in stores:)
*Last is the Real Techniques Stippling Brush. It is the best brush I have found to get the foundation across my face smoothly and without creases and messes. Its here: Stippling Brush

Baby Moose

Well a blogger and YouTuber I love to watch recently went through the loss of a dog. It really hit me so I thought I would post this so I will always be able to look back and have the memories and pictures. My dog Moose is about 100 LBS full of pure love and socks. I will be the first to admit that growing up I was NOT a pet lover. I hated the smell, hair and having to clean up after messes when I was in
Middle/High School. So when I started a relationship(with my now husband) on 1-4-10 I was able to meet 2 week old Moose and fell completely in love with the little bugger. There has been some ups and downs with him along the ways. For instance the dog hair and throw up is still a pet peeve of mine, so I try to clean up constantly. When my husband deploys Moose becomes my best friend and companion through everything. Without him around to snuggle with I am not sure what I would do. Once when Zak was deployed Moose got into something he shouldn't and got very sick. He threw up 13 times in one night and it didn't look pretty so I took him to the Vet. Come to find out he had chewed off a piece of his rubber bone and tried to swallow it. It didn't pass through his body and logged itself in his intestines(?).. He needed emergency surgery and we didn't think twice about doing it even though it cost a pretty penny. He pulled through the surgery like a champ and was feeling 100% better after a week or two. Some awesome memories are when we go camping. Moose is always so happy to be able to run around freely. Cutest part is at night he jumps in bed and gets in the middle of us to stay warm and cozy. He is very protective of me. If he thinks Zak is getting to close he will bark at Zak until
he backs off. Moose isn't very old, so we hope to make many more Awesome memories with our pal.

Vintage Vanity

Hey all. Thought I would FINALLY put up a new blog post and show you some of my vintage finds :)

**Starting off with the Vintage Vanity. I was excited to come across this. It is in rough condition in a few spots, but it is so beautiful. I think I got a pretty great deal for it. I will be doing a blog post or you tube video showing how to organize bedroom/bathroom/makeup and all that jazz.

**Next is my cute vintage doll. She normally comes in a cardboard house, but I haven't found a house yet to put her in. I had a doll just like her when I was young, and I loved her. If I find the old pictures we took as kids with our dolls I will post later.

**Time for a bath with the Vintage Fisher Price Boat. This will float in the water perfectly. I have a few of the old Little People fisher price toys, and as a child we also had the boat and It was so much fun playing with them.

**Last is the Vintage Fisher Price School Bus. Anything with a Bus reminds me of my Dad. He was a full time farmer and school bus driver so we love all toys that involve buses. The kids and driver bounce up and down as this bus goes down the road.

Well thanks for reading guys. Sorry my posts have been rare lately. I am finally back home after long business/vacation trip, and I am getting back in the swing of things.
