FIRST

It's the 1st, guys! Pretty excited about living full today. On the workbench are 2 projects. Had to take a break on the woman's choker to move on to the men's lapel pin. It's the 1st one I've ever made and I think the kinks are working themselves out fine. Was experiencing difficult flow brazing the washer and thumb tack together but flipped my work and came at it from the underside. Just a few different materials that are lighter weight, mostly the thumb tack head. Some of the snazzier actions on my list are photography in the real world. How often do you dress up? It's been awhile since I have. They'll be ready soon! God bless you.

Welcome to my workbench where I got started with a desire to give a clean steel border to gator. I knew I didn't want any glue used so it had to be some form of pressure ring setup to connect them. I used thumb tacks and a spacer the thickness of gator (it's fun saying gator). From there it was setup time and holding my breath as I welded these tiny pieces, then grinding down the excess elements. It was fun getting the leather to fit right in. It was dyed then removed and a tedious weld job for the mini-ring was my last heated situation. Following that was a quick re-heat and quench x 2. I've gone with a less bulky 2mm copper choker. Would photograph better in the daylight but am excited to get this live. The name for it is Guide, the opposite of drivenness. The enemy drives and pushes. The Lord guides and leads. During this time creating today, I felt guided along every step of the way and am thankful. Hope you're doing well. Many blessings!

This necklace came about while making some changes. I thought it appropriate to search out the term transform and really like what came up: a glyph action symbol meaning just that—Transform. INSPIRE

I run 25 minutes a day. I study the benefits of exercise for 25 minutes before my run. When I read I get inspired. I get energized! The renewed mind leads right into the new action and it has become a cycle of success in an area of past defeat.

I am starting to incorporate a welded blind ring with various new designs, including the Yield necklace. I've been listening to a teaching series called The Grace of Yielding by Derek Prince (CD, MP3, Book PDF outline). I often tie shapes to words that help me think of concepts. And from there I'll meditate on a certain scripture or theme throughout the day. How about you? Is there any shape, that when you see it, triggers a memory or emotion?

Branching out into signage. This was a complex project. You learn a lot doing things you've never done before! Thanks, Zsolt at h4l.com, for the opportunity!

It took awhile to get it mounted. Some of the magnets were not cooperating. We went with extra strength ones for the bigger end letters and bottom strip.

Branded, thick, rawhide.

Nail, anchor, magnet, e6000 adhesive. I like the option of floating letters and this variable depth aspect makes it pretty slick. Just be careful to hold the anchor securely with a key tip or screwdriver while adjusting the nail toward you so it doesn't back out.

Printed the enlarged logo at FedEx office on their big printer. Cut pieces, then to weld.
