so anyway, posting here on the "new better tasting lower in fat Typepad" so if this appears in your browser in swahili, start fires and stuff.

so the upturn to all this economic poo poo... Setanta, a big evil euro tv / internet provider went belly up! ahhhhh, so sorry, you "we're in bed with direct tv until eternity so you cable having arsenal fans are screwed" are and always were evil i say evil. anyway, they died. (simpsons dude voice) ha ha!

anyhoo, espn then stepped in and bought the euro rights to the EPL (if you don't know what EPL stands for, either quote-see the archives of this blog-unquote...or... you are lost in web-land and are sure to be insulted (or worse) shortly. so yea, ummm... espn scores euro EPL and FSC (see parenthesis' in first sentence above) thus takes over a bigger broadcast allotment of the EPL this side of the pond.

and... FSC bought the rights to the champions league after espn spent all their footie budget on the EPL. still with me? thought not. well what sense would it make to spend $100 million kronor or francs or euros or whatever on the champs league and then only have about 1/4 of the US footie tv audience see the damned thing. right! zero!

this is the good part so stay with me here... FOX then clearly threatened to release photos of a Comcast exec in bed with a teenage boy and KAPOW! FSC / FX / and FOX regional sports networks are all now available to any and all (digital) comcast customers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
