Having grown up in a newly post cold war world*,

I caught the tail end of some fantastic propaganda about Russia/the USSR.

...most of it propagated some pretty horrible stereotypes.

At the beginning of every year, I, like many other people, start out super empowered and motivated.

I make a very optimistic to do list,

....then become overwhelmed and eat the contents of my cupboards.

During this time, my sole purpose for leaving the house is to buy knock-off junk food. To date in 2012, my proudest accomplishment is discovering the existence of generic girl scout cookies at the dollar general. So as to not spiral further into my dark, "cheez-curl"- dusted and "coconut caramel de-lite"-caked world, I decide that what I've done thus far really is an accomplishment and therefore is list-worthy.

...and somehow, it works.

I just might even get those squiggly light bulbs.

...maybe.

Like, in a month.
