Are you suffering hard ships ? You should pray .Are you sick ? you should call the elders of the church to come and pray with you .Such prayer offered in faith will heal the Sick and the Lord will make you well.

Why we pray
Through prayer we participate in the communion of the God kind and scripture enjoins us to pray without ceasing - 1 Thess 5:17 .When we pray , we make tremendous power available , dynamic in its working , causing changes 😃.How wonderful that we can change situations / circumstances and alter destinies in his Name through Prayer. But how can you enjoy such privileges with him if you don't know how to pray effectively?This is why l wrote this article to share some of the truths and principles.

Prayer offered in faith
James 5 : 15 noted that such a prayer offered in faith will heal the Sick. Meaning that in our prayer life the principle of faith is very valuable. And the prayer of faith is one of the different kinds of prayer among other prayers which we will not touch here .

Then the Question might come into your mind now , what does this prayer offered in faith entail ? Simply it involves

1. Must have a definite objective
- Jesus asked : "what wilt thou, that l should do unto thee?" (Mark 10: 51). He was asking : "What is your specific desire ? this means that there must be a specific desire in that prayer . Let's check Mark 11:23 ,it clear states that "Who soever shall say to this mountain ", not just any and you are not going to be talking about the mountain or telling God to do something about the mountain. You are to personally address the mountain and tell it what to do; the content of your prayer must be targeted towards a specific area / other wise you will pray and not get a desired outcome.

2.Ask and receive
- Many sincere Christians have failed to understand that the prayer of faith is both asking and receiving .To ask and keep asking indefinately can sometimes be an indication of our unbelief.Jesus said : "Ask and it shall be given you ".So when you have asked him , we need then to receive our request from his hand with appropriate thanks giving . (Philippians 4:6)

3.Have the right motive
-Read James 4:2,3. James notes why we sometimes don't receive the answers to our prayers .The first is that we sometimes do not ask ! The second reason is that we pray, but with the wrong motive.James says "we ask amiss" for selfish reasons.
The right reason is that God should be glorified and his Name exalted.Anything less than this frequently suspect in its motivation .

4. Has a Bold confession
And also it's important to take not when you've been sick and you have prayed for healing , you need to study the word of God and find out what he has said today about your situation today and confess it every day. For the bible says that a man believes with his heart unto righteousness and confesses with his mouth unto salvation. That means you are made right with God when you believe , but it's your confession that brings you into the benefits of salvation - devine health and so on

5.Act in Agreement with our confession
Out faith confession is a verbal statement which agrees with the attitude of faith we hold about healing .Which means that we must take faith actions which agree with the faith statements we have made. This is literally acting upon God's word. So often Jesus demanded faith action from those whom he healed. "Rise , take up your bed and walk ," He commanded the lame (Mark 2:11) .lt is usually at this pricise moment, when one begins to act to act in faith, that the miracle takes place.

6.Continues Steadfastly
Look at Hebrews 10:23 .ln most situations our faith is tested because what we ask and believe for is not immediately manifest. This is a critical and important factor in the exercise of faith. True faith has enduring quality which continues to believe steady fastly, even when the results are not immediately evident. True faith does not "....cast away it's confidence , which has great recompense of reward " (Hebrews 10: 35 ,36)

In Addition , Mark 16 : 17-18 , Jesus said ," these signs shall follow them that believe in my name shall they cast out devils...they shall lay hands on the sick , and they shall recover " .Notice He didn't say that you need to negotiate with sickness , He said heal the sick.Lay your hands on the one who needs healing and command the sickness to leave! They healed them .Peter healed the crippled man at the gate called beautiful ( Acts 3: 2- 8) and he began to leap and run!

You may say that "l am born again and am the one who is sick !" Well l have wonderful news for you .The power to heal that sickness is in you .Put your hands on your body and say ,"In the Name of Jesus .l command this sickness ( call it by name ) leave my body. Strength and health are restored to me right now ! "No matter what sickness is , it has no choice but to obey.

Confession
I have the life of God in me .Therefore no sickness ,disease or infirmity can thrive in my body for my body is the temple of the Holy Ghost! I thank you precious Father for giving me power of attorney to use the Name of Jesus to heal the sick and cast out devil.
