I have been following this thing for far to long now but it does actually appear to be getting somewhere so I will plod on. The Dublin demonstration of the Orbo motor is in full swing at present so what do we have so far?

First of all, much to my disappointment, Steorn have decided to demonstrate an electromagnetic version of their motor as opposed to the mystical magnet only version (if indeed such a thing exists)

Why? Well to take a cynical view it's because they don't have a magnet only (Kinetica) model. OK let's go with that, after all the evidence certainly points in that direction. Failed Kinetica demo, decision to demo an EM version, logical.

It also means that they are a bunch of dirty rotten liars and they have been stringing us all along. Well it does, if you ignore the current demonstration of the electromagnetic motor which seems to be displaying some rather odd behaviour.

First, the lack of back or counter electromotive force in the motor. McCarthy has gone to great lengths to demonstrate this, even shooting down some videos posted by replicators on Youtube who claimed to have an explanation for the lack of CEMF. They didn't.

Second a demonstration of a gain in energy with respect to inductance in the motors coils.

Meanwhile the motor spins.

The quote above summarises the current state of play, straight from the horses mouth but where exactly does that leave us? With several more experiments to come and an offer of "bring your own test equipment and test it" I would say it leaves us in by far the most interesting phase of the Steorn saga.

With less than 44 days till the end of the year the Steorn saga is finally drawing to a close, or is it? After announcing that their Free Energy technology would definitely positively launch before the end of the year Steorn have now closed the forum section of their website after systematically banning dissenting voices over a period of several weeks.

Perplexing and yet predictable Steorn is either setting itself up for the big launch or cleaning up prior to vanishing. But if they are about to disappear why bother with this last act?
