Been Too Long!

I have been neglecting my blog from client work lately….so here I am preparing a few posts for the upcoming week!

First on the agenda, my pictures from the Carmel Prom. I was able to head over to University of St. Mary of the Lake Mundelein Seminary a couple weeks ago to photograph some juniors before the headed out to their prom.

These kids were very cool, and very cute.

I Need Some Structure – 10 on 10

My self imposed theme for this month’s 10 on 10 was structures.

I set off in the car one gloomy day to check out the various structures in my area…trying to find anything interesting.

Why are barns so inviting for pictures?

I don’t get it either, yet here I am, snapping away at them.

Fashion and Ragdale – Published | North Shore Photographer

Lookie what I found in my mailbox this weekend….the latest issue of Make It Better Magazine!

I was hired to take photographs for two different articles this month.

First, I photographed the lovely Mia as fashion editor Kat and stylist Evangeline worked to “shop your closet” with Mia’s wardrobe.
They were able to create several new outfits out of clothes she had in her closet already!

An added benefit for me, getting all of this knowledge first hand as we worked.

The second article was for an article celebrating a local treasure, Ragdale in Lake Forest, IL.

I was thrilled to visit here, as I had never even heard of it before.
Ragdale supports writers and artists in a retreat setting and makes the arts more accessible to the public. I was so excited to get to tour the facilities and learn more about it. I highly suggest you check them out as well!

As always, check out their iPad edition….they always throw extra pictures in there!

The other day, over on my new blog Bring It In Focus, I highlighted how to minimize the dreaded double chin.

No matter what your size, posing at an unflattering angle and holding your head incorrectly will not flatter anyone. So I posed a little tutorial on how to look your best!

Here is my fabulous sister demonstrating for me….head on over and take a look. I suspect before our session you will be in the mirror trying these tips out for looking your best!

I am excited to finally share some photographs I took for Make It Better magazine for their Life Celebrations issue.

I got to visit with Sharon Rosenzweig and Aaron Freenman of Highland Park as they celebrated their Shabbat dinner.
These two were so much fun, Sharon is an artist/cartoonist and Aaron is a comedian, author and radio personality.
