This is good Katja. There's lots I can actually do.

I also love this extensive stretching guide from the Canadian MS Society. It is a downloadable PDF called Everybody Stretch.

Well this is timely, I am doing some exercise classes with my Wednesday TOPS group, and I would love to check out my "scale" of education... the folks do not have MS, but have other problems that "Prevent" them from exercise...

I have only done instruction with muggles, and this will be a real help for me

Thanks for sharing

I am on the opposite end of the spectrum. I am such a hardcore football fan that I need to sit at home, with no guests, so I can focus completely on the game (and the commercials) without interruption. I become totally asocial on Superbowl Sunday.

I think you'll only be safe to eat at fine dining establishments on Superbowl Sunday. And I'm sure all the fine arts attractions (museums, opera, playhouses) can help you escape from the madness. Good luck next year!

We're not football fans either and always enjoy the quiet/doing errands during them. It's much easier and less crowded, though service can be difficult to get sometimes.

HandyDart, is even worse here in British Columbia interior. I have 4 times to choose from for (10 am, 11:30, noon, 1:30, and 3 pm) each direction of my trip. There is a 15-30 minute window on each side of that time. If you're not there, they leave. If that happens twice, I lose my rider privileges.

I must book at least 24 hours in advance (preferably longer) and I am penalized for a less than 24 hour cancellation. The service runs Monday thru Saturday.

I strongly believe they should take "Handy" out of their title.

Our transit system is fully accessible however. And the city even built 2 accessible concrete platforms for me within 1 month of me requesting them. That was amazing. The bus drivers I've encountered have been pleasant and accommodating so far, even though I consume precious minutes getting on, fastening in, and getting off on their already tight schedule.

Our community is fortunate in this regard.

I'm not sure I see it that way - non-disabled people don't have to arrange rides in advance, or put up with absurd "on time" windows.

Instead of spending a fortune on "special" (separate, segregated) services, how about regular transit systems spend that fortune on upgrading equipment so that everyone can use the regular system?

well, it seems sort of half dozen of one, six of the other. you've got the transport, but you have to plan so far ahead.
