For Tamara Barney and Jimmy Choos' reputations sake, I really hope there are no more UGG capsule collections. That shit is beyond ugly. Uggs themselves are basic at best and represent the lackadaisical fashion attitude abundant in the U.S. I'm sorry UGGs, leggings, and a sweatshirt is by no means a cute outfit, oh, and leggings aren't pants (but that is a whole separate argument). I understand the need for "warmth" and "comfort" but ask yourself, are your feet so cold that you need to literally, wrap them in woolen sheepskin??? Where do you live? and above all, if the weather is really the reason for embracing the shapeless Bozo-foot shoe then, check it, why do I still see them in summer time. Leave the ugly alone ladies....and you gentlemen who think wearing such things is okay...it's not.

I'm not really a fan of celebrity designers but the jury is still out on Rachel Zoe. Admittedly, she is a good stylist (emphasis on good not great). I mean she kinda makes that whole sexy, chic mom / adult woman look happen for aging hollywood ladies and I give her credit, she has the market cornered. Despite her "talent", her tv personality is dreadful, surpassed only by Joan Rivers and maybe Saaphyri from Flava of Love. On the other hand Brad is a diva (LOVE him), and Taylor is a bad bitch (kinda dig her style and 'tude). But alas, RZ is no longer just a stylist, her faux fur QVC line was kinda hott and she is even listed on style.com now with her looks, which is an improvement over a lot of celebrity lines. All this aside, I was kinda shocked by how cute her new fall looks are... I almost, really want some of it, who knew??

The Faux-Fur Vest in Ecru is a MUST and I'm still pondering this military coat but I kinda love it too, it's definitely no wardrobe star but a good sturdy piece, plus you can easily wear it all day and out at night, no outfit change necessary.

a city that responds to big hair

I spent my saturday trolling the city for markets. I found some gems. From the second hand clothes (a la the garment district in BOS) tent at the flea market I picked up a new head scarf. Silk, geometric pattern, and labeled YSL, although probably not real, it's still a steal at 1€.

As I walked through the rain alone I soaked up the sights and began to fall in love with the city. The canals and roads have begun to feel slightly more familiar. The silence the rain brings only feels good until I can feel my hair expanding. That is one thing I can count on, my hair, will never, ever, look as it did when I left the house, once it rains. The process is gradual and each strand individually rebels against the styling, leaving me with an entirely new look. One that screams fun. Embracing the impending fro I took out my hair-tie and let the natural hair take over. Amsterdam definitely responds to big hair.

The coolest pony hair, cut leather bags ever. Must return!

One of London's culinary gems is definitely Borough Market. I throughly enjoyed it's delicious samples on one of my last days and the hardest part of the whole day was deciding what to buy. I ended up with iced tea (a delicacy rarely enjoyed properly by the British) and going halfzies on cheesecake and apple pie squares all for only £4.

I found the cutest second-hand store near Tottenham Ct. Rd. and naturally, I asked about their buying policies. I now know, that my next visit will involve trying to turn a pile of unworn clothes into these babies...

My love for this city expands beyond the touristy bits and extreme expensiveness. I even love my dirtbag room complete with drain bugs, a wonky heater, and a window that opens 4 inches on a good day. For the record…if you have a choice….Dinwiddy House is not a premier student accommodation, then again, what student accommodation is ever truly satisfactory? Oh, and the best part of the building is definitely the overpriced laundry that forces me to turn my room into a Laundromat every other week.

Ever since I got my first passport at 15, the only thing I truly wanted was to get rid of it. But, if I can’t qualify for a European passport yet, then living in Europe will have to do. Choosing a yearlong program and moving to London was probably one of the most progressive decisions I have made in my life thus far. London is an incredible city that is full of life and offers a completely different perspective from New York, L.A., or the other great U.S. cities. I feel that within a year, I have fully embraced the educational system and I really absorbed the opportunities here. With just 9 days left I am nostalgically looking back on my time here. I have come to love so many things and although I don’t look forward to leaving, I am excited for the next chapter. I will forever keep London in my heart and look at it seriously as a potential location for a master’s degree.

So yes, I'm broke, but EVERYONE needs new spring/summer clothes and Westfield Mall is the perfect place. Although I got awesome stuff, including the fab shoes posted earlier, I am left thinking about what was left behind.

AMAZING!!! All hand beaded and the only imperfection is the one tassel of white beaded fringe that hangs lower than the rest. Well, it was out of my price range and I don't have anywhere pressing to wear it, but still gorge and will remain on my TopShop sale watch list!

Sometimes you just get obsessed with once nail polish color. In this case ... I'm obsessed with OPI Black Shatter. Seeing as a manicure is out of the question, it's great to have your nails look cool and different but have done them yourself!!!! Oh and when it starts to chip you can't even tell...BONUS!
