Notice is hereby given that because the 2013 fiscal year budget does not provide budget appropriations for the purpose of paying the cost and expense of conducting the functions of government, the Brookings County Board of County Commissioners will hold a public hearing at 9:30 a.m. on the 18th day of June, 2013 in the Commission Chambers located at the Brookings City & County Government Center, 520 3rd St., Room 310, Brookings, SD for the purpose of considering the following proposed supplemental budget. At such time, any interested person may appear either in person or by a representative, and will be given an opportunity for a full and complete discussion of all purposes, objectives, items, schedules, appropriations, estimates, amounts and matters set forth.

Funding Applications for the FY2014 Budget Available Now
Deadline to Apply is May 31 

Entities interested in submitting a funding request to the Brookings County Commission for consideration during the FY2014 budget process, can do so by completing a Funding Request Application.  The deadline to apply for funding is Friday, May 31^st at 3:00 pm.  Applications are available on the County’s website at www.brookingscountysd.gov or by contacting the Brookings County Commission Office at 605-696-8205.  If you would like more information about the funding request process, you can contact Stephanie Ellwein, Commission Assistant at the Brookings County Commission Office at 605-696-8205 or by emailing commission@brookingscountysd.gov.

Also review the assessment notice for the 2013 value which reflects the fair and equal market value estimate of your property. If you feel this value is in error you will find the methods & dates of appeal printed on the back of the notice.
