Yesterday I received an email(click image above to enlarge) from Yesasia confirming that I had ordered a Logitech QuickCam Ultra Vision for $208.99 and a Freecom Hard Drive 3.5″ External Hard Drive 500GB for $228.99.

As you can see the email uses my full name. My first thought was “Fuck Fuck someone had stolen my credit card” and used it to buy these overpriced products.

I immediately logged on to my Yesasia account to check. Fortunately, no orders were being made from my account. But to be sure, I wrote to Yesasia support team to alert them of the email.

I then went back to the email and check out the links

Yesasia.com and http://www.yesasia.com/global/en/secure/ordertracking.html?order=141014122011BED

Both links were redirected to:

http://www.yesasia-payment-service.com/uk/invoices/view/Invoice-141014122011BED.zip

If you click on the link, it will download a zip file apparently containing your invoice. Inside the .zip file there is an .exe file so don’t download it.

It’s a clever one, and I’m afraid that lots of people will be taken in by it.

I’m still not sure how these guys got the details of their targets. Most of The Internet Patrol‘s users are pointing their fingers at Paypal.

If you receive any order confirmation for an order you haven’t placed, DO NOT click on the link, but check with your credit card provider to make sure you haven’t been a victim of online fraud. Chances are you haven’t, but it’s better to be safe than sorry.

As the email source is not at our end, we regret that we will not be able to stop such email if you keep on receiving it. We suggest not to click on any links or attachments provided on such fake emails. You may also report the sender to your internet provider as precautionary measure.


The tech industry has lost an amazing, world-changing person today.

Steve Jobs, Apple’s cofounder and former CEO, has died. He was 56 years old.

His death was reported late Wednesday 5/10/2011 in a brief statement on Apple‘s website:

Apple has lost a visionary and creative genius, and the world has lost an amazing human being. Those of us who have been fortunate enough to work with Steve have lost a dear friend and an inspiring mentor. Steve leaves behind a company that only he could have built, and his spirit will forever be the foundation of Apple.

Apple’s board issued the following statement about his death:

We are deeply saddened to announce that Steve Jobs passed away today.

Steve’s brilliance, passion and energy were the source of countless innovations that enrich and improve all of our lives. The world is immeasurably better because of Steve.

His greatest love was for his wife, Laurene, and his family. Our hearts go out to them and to all who were touched by his extraordinary gifts.

Apple CEO Tim Cook today sent the following email to all Apple employees:

Team,

I have some very sad news to share with all of you. Steve passed away earlier today.

Apple has lost a visionary and creative genius, and the world has lost an amazing

human being. Those of us who have been fortunate enough to know and work with Steve have lost a dear friend and an inspiring mentor. Steve leaves behind a company that only he could have built, and his spirit will forever be the foundation of Apple.

We are planning a celebration of Steve’s extraordinary life for Apple employees that will take place soon. If you would like to share your thoughts, memories and condolences in the interim, you can simply email rememberingsteve@apple.com.

Each and every day you are doing something that is either moving your toward your goals or further away from them. The same can be said of how you communicate with yourself, how you use your imagination, how you talk to yourself.

Having a daily regime that you plan on doing, then follow through with – rain or shine, is one of the hallmarks of the super achiever. An aspiring writer may write a minimum number of words each day. That’s his regimen. Someone else may follow a specific exercise program. Once again, the program is followed, rain or shine. Another person might like to paint. Then again, someone else may enjoy singing, playing piano, reading or making a few sales calls before breakfast. Regardless of what the activity is – the daily regime can and will increase mind power when you connect it to a desired outcome. For example, as an affiliate marketer – I can tell you that there were many, many times when I was making loses instead of profits from campaigns. Yet, as hard as things were during the bad times, I would picture my goal, and suddenly ‘all was well.’ When I kept my goal in mind, the money and time I’ve lost became bearable. But when I didn’t focus on my goal – when I simply performed the activity, things were much harder. That when fear and doubt began to creep in. In order to hit Zero Resistance – I simply changed how I was using my imagination – and the rest was history. Not only did I not afraid of failures anymore – but I reached my goals as well. Personal problems can cause havoc with any small business, leaving you with little time or energy to spend on important work. It could be as a result of illness or a death in the family, dealing with divorce or about a million other eventualities.

Many experienced small business owners have learnt the skill of hiding personal problems from clients and appearing as if all is well. Major personal events can make this appearance difficult, if not impossible. Every one and every event is different and there is no ‘one size fits all’ solution. However, there are a few tips to help you deal with personal problems in business life.

Firstly, look after yourself, the fitter and healthier you are the easier it will be to cope with the stress and possible additional hours. Simple tactics, such as eating well, sleeping properly and not drinking too much, can help improve your ability to deal with any problems.

You may have to accept that you will have to take relatively drastic action and possibly stop work, and take time out. This is never a good option for any small business, but taking a realistic approach and assessing the situation. Nevertheless, if for example, you have a death in your close family most clients will understand and give you time out to deal with it. And to be honest any client who can not see the need for a few days break in such circumstances, is not liable to be forgiving about minor problems that may arise, so do you need them?

Get any help that you can from friends and family, don’t soldier on if there is someone who may be able to help with some kind of support. Even outside advice can be a big help in letting you see the situation clearly, as those who are involved often can not have clear judgment.

Soldiering on helps some people deal with the problem. Depending or your character, you may find that carrying on in the face of, for example, a divorce helps you rather than hinders. Having something purposeful to do with your day, may work better than sitting at home feeling sorry for yourself.
