20 Years

Well, at least one person still reads this website. After my last post, I was emailed by someone who has followed me since the beginning of my blogging adventure. They informed me that I have been blogging for 20 years at my various domains as of this month. They also pointed out that this domain will be 20 years old in 2023.

So did this person happen to know this? They were feeling nostalgic and looked up this domain and my original blogging domains at the Internet Archive Wayback Machine and happened upon my blogging anniversary posts. Sort of like when you go down the YouTube hole and spend hours watching plumbing videos.

My Micro Blog

While I figure out how this space will fit into my web niche, I have decided to utilize it as a microblog. Almost an open-style Twitter post is accessible on the web. I will not be honoring any 280-character limit, but I will likely not be publishing any long essays here. This is a domain I do not want ever to let go of due to a long history dating back to when the .us domains first became available and, in some ways, before that happened. Ever since the end of our Brutal Deluxe Football Podcast, I have been trying to find a use for this old domain. Maybe short, random thoughts will be that use, only consumable via a feed reader.

Better Writing

When I write, I want to focus on writing better than I have in the past. On my primary blog, https://irongeek.net, I thought I was writing better, but then I revisited posts and looked hard at the writing. Let’s say it was terrible. I need to spend more time before publishing my writing and work on my grammar, and there is no excuse for spelling errors. If I want someone to read what I write, I need to do a better job before publishing.
