This is my cousin’s daughter that I agreed to photograph. At first it seemed like it would’ve of been a treacherous task but once we got into it she cooperated nicely.

This is the mom striking a pose during the session as well.

I was requested by Family Moseley to document them in Paradise. I accepted the offer and we’ve had fun with this photo session. I took them out on the Palm Beach pass the Marriott Resort and Casino close to The Fisherman’s Hut on the beach to create beautiful family portraits.

My job was easy. It’s very difficult to mess up with a beautiful family. See the results of the session for yourself.

We’ve searched out an awesome location for portraits and found this abandoned school. One man’s garbage is another’s treasure. This location is so cool for photography I would say don’t tear down all abandoned buildings as they serve a calming purpose.

Aruba is a photographer’s heaven for locations. We don’t suffer an insufficiency in color. Therefore having a studio tends to get boring. Don’t get me wrong a studio has it’s time and place but outdoors on Aruba has so much to offer. It’s just awe-inspiring!

Of course they wanted to be documented in Paradise so I took them out on the Palm Beach area and partly around the Fisherman’s Huts on Aruba for some family portraits.

Before this hiatus I lived a pretty open life which was displayed right on this medium. Those of you that followed me a little know that I’m all for family and preserving the family nucleus. My family meant the world to me and yes, you’ve guessed it right. I no longer have that family. While all relationships that I hear of grow apart as the years go by, mine was knitting nicely together until one day while I least expected I was informed of the distressing declaration of permanent separation, known to man as “Divorce”. Know this: I was hit by a ton of bricks and survived it. I then rather I had died at that very instant but I guess it was not the creators time for me yet. The experience was inapprehensible. My intention for emphasizing on my survival is not only to demonstrate that I am now a much stronger person but to affirm the hardships that I’ve had to endure. To protect the identity of those involved I will not go into detail of these hardships but note that it was definitely not an easy episode in my life.

Picture, the people you love, live for and would give your life for plotting and scheming against you in all areas. It is mind-boggling. You just feel lost, useless on the brink of suicide. Had it not been for my strong faith, I believe I would have at least lost my mind. Many were the days I’ve had to pray and try to calm myself as I literally felt that I was very close to crossing over to insanity but thanks be to God I got over it. What does not kill you will make you stronger and stronger I am.

I’m back and ready to serve you.

Me, yours truly, Bryan Morris is not only Aruba’s premier wedding photographer. Maternity photography is another area that I’m busy in and will get even busier come 2011.

This session was shot in a studio setting as the other two were done on location. I love the results of this one and I know that Ilaina will love it too as it’s totally different and totally natural. I couldn’t wait for DA (This is my name to him) to pop himself out of the “oven” to shoot him as well. That would be fun even though he’s almost 5 months and I still didn’t get a shot at him but that is due to me being out for some time and busy on other projects.

Daniel Alejandro was born on December 28, one bouncing baby boy. He couldn’t be surrounded by more love.

The shoot was done for the most part with off camera lighting ala Strobist and I did not have my regular assistant but I must say that Mark, Shannon’s dad did a great job assisting me as my lighting guy. He was my voice activated lightstand and lighting operator. Mark, once again, thank you and you’ve done a great job. We shot at various locations of Aruba. Eagle Beach, Arashi Beach and Downtown Oranjestad in Aruba were a few of the locations that were used for this Senior Portrait Photoshoot.

Here you have Shannon strutting her stuff. Showing that she’s ready for the great world of modeling.

Here is a different look of Shannon. This is her with some attitude. She did not liked this one when she saw it in the the camera’s screen. She finds that she looks upset but that is just a different look and I say it’s more attitude than upset.

Loved the hat as a prop in this shoot, it really brought some flavor to the shoot.

Look at that smile and look at the eyes. She was surely enjoying herself in downtown Oranjestad as a model.
