Small Break

Without getting into excuses I’m taking an impromptu break from posting. Stuff just keeps getting in the way so I’m not going to even try to keep a schedule until mid-June. At some point after that I will do a week of five desktop updates based off a single property to pick up the slack.

Work in Progress-The Last Crusade

While this is not yet a desktop I figured, since I’m behind, I’d give a peak at the one I’m working on.

Last night on Twitter and Facebook I asked for ideas of what to do next. I got some great responses and started a few sketches with this one making it into Illustrator. It was a bit frustrating at first and oddly enough most of this was done after I had decided (and announced) I was quitting for the night. the desktop still has a ways to go but it is working for me so far.

Incidentally, if there are any properties you would like me to explore just leave them in the comments.

Still not on schedule…but, then again, way back in the beginning I promised one a week. The desktops just happened to come on Monday’s. I’m hoping to have one done tomorrow.

Though maybe not obvious at first glance my mind was filled with witchcraft while I was sketching this. Maybe a little underplayed but I like the peasant witch look of this. Maybe it’s just me.

…and now I’m all caught up. Thanks to my buddy (and quality control) over at Blast-O-Rama for uttering that classic line over the weekend. As soon as he said it I couldn’t believe I didn’t have The Highlander in my queue for desktopery already. Three days later and here you go.

Time to make up for taking a vacation last week. Well, not make up for, I’m glad I took a vacation. Anyway…

A while back I mentioned I was having a hard time finishing the desktop I was working on for the Princess Bride. Well, even though my wife convinced me to finish the one I had started I had already started up a second sketch. Here it is.

So now I’m back on track, more or less. This Monday’s desktop may get pushed into the week a day or two but that’s hopefully all.
