HARRY POTTER PREVIEW: Half-Blood Prince Clips and Interviews

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, the sixth story in the Harry Potter Anthology, is coming to the big screens after breaking the hearts of fans everywhere with a tragic (yet necessary) plot development in the book. And now we get to see all that nastiness come to life! Since being blown away by Order of the Phoenix, Matt has actually read all the books, and it’ll be interesting to see how opinions may change since our 2007 Review of the previous installment of Harry Potter. ~Matt + Nat

TRANSFORMERS 2 REVIEW: It was... good? Unexpected.

Michael Bay stunned us. Not only was Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen an entertaining enough film to keep Nat's attention for 150-long minutes, but Matt, (who RAILED against the 2007 film as a classic G1 80's Transformer fan) actually enjoyed this one, too! The wounds from Bay's painful reimagining of the Transformers have healed in the last two years, and a Mute, Camaro Bumblebee doesn't offend us quite as much as it used to. Maybe that's what helped make this sequel SUCH an improved experience over the original!

TRANSFORMERS 2 PREVIEW: Revenge, Anyone?

Now that all the wounds have healed, Bumblebee is a Camaro, Jazz is dead and Optimus has flames on his trailerless tractor trailer, it’s time to see if this re-imagined Transformerverse has a good story to tell in it. We’ve got three scenes to share with you that give you an idea of what to expect from the T2… wait, that acronym is already taken. We managed to check out Drag Me To Hell back at SXSW in March, and we LOVED it. Watching Sam Raimi return to the genre that he started in was magnificent, with all the jumps and laughs and wit that you'd expect from a classic Raimi horror film. Since we've already seen this one, for a change this episode will bring you a review along with exclusive scenes from the movie and interviews behind-the-scenes of Drag Me To Hell!

T4 REVIEW: Terminator Salvageable? Satisfactory? Sub-par?

We both loved parts and hated parts; we both thought parts were bad ass and other parts had no balls at all... only problem is, we're not totally in agreement on which was which.
This isn't exaclty a film series that prides itself on continuity, but still, as Terminator fans, but after 25 years of Terminators, we have a certain minimum expectation. What did you think? After an atrocious T3, it looked like the Terminator film series was suffering from classic franchise fatigue (seriously, THREE movies about the same exact plot?). But with the arrival of McG in the director's chair, we’ve got a movie about the coolest part of the Terminator universe: the dystopian future that all these wacky killing machines are from. Not to be confused with three hot babes who work for a talking speaker.

WOLVERINE REVIEW: Multiple Endings = Multiple Viewings?

To say that Wolverine has multiple endings isn't exactly correct, but it does have multiple post-credit bonus scenes. Much like the post-credit Nick Fury scene in Iron Man, or the Tony Stark scene in Incredible Hulk, X-Men Origins: Wolverine gives you a reason to sit through the credits… and it’s hard to know which one you’ll be getting since Gavin Hood has put at least two different versions out in theatres, that we know of. We’ve seen two different endings, one that’s Deadpool-centric and once that’s Japan-based, but it won't take long to get to the bottom of how many there are, and to see them all! ~Matt + Nat

WOLVERINE PREVIEW: Turns out Hugh Jackman actually IS Wolverine

With interviews with Hugh Jackman, Liev Schreiber, Ryan Reynolds, Daniel Henney and director Gavin Hood, the advanced preview clips we've got for you from Wolverine are high octane, funny, and classic Wolverine; just the thing to make Matt want to grow a mean set of mutton chops year round!

It's been three movies of watching Logan share the screen with other mutants while we pretended he wasn't the main character... and now we don't have to pretend anymore. X-Men Origins: Wolverine centres on everyone's favourite Candian Ball of Berserker Rage, and makes no apologies for it. With Hugh Jackman producing the film as well as starring, it looks like the man who might just know Logan best is shouldering a lot of the responsibility in bringing us his origin story well.

CapriCast - Matt + Nat Review the Pilot

It is upon us.

The Direct-To-DVD release of Caprica was April 21st and with the Blood, Boobies and Human Sacrifice that we’ve been privy to seeing so far, it looks like Ron Moore managed to skirt the TV-Gods and Censors quite elegantly by releasing in on DVD first. There have been quite a few times in his podcasts that he mentioned how the TV version of a Battlestar Episode wasn’t quite his ideal cut (for either time or network restrictions) but with Caprica available for first viewing as an unspoiled DVD version, we’ll be sure to watch what Ron wants us to see

Battlestar is over, long live Caprica!

REVIEW: "X-Men Origins - Wolverine" Workprint

Thanks to an industry contact who has to remain nameless, we’ve managed to get our hands on a copy of the much publicized Wolverine Workprint… and boy do we have some things to say about it! Some good, some not so good, but this version is by no means the final film we’ll be seeing in theatres in May. It, in fact, is the version that lead to Fox commissioning millions of dollars in re-shoots and changes. Will that make it better? Worse? There’s no way to know yet, but this will give us some rare insight to the process of making a blockbuster!
