I threw candlesticks yesterday and ended the day with only about 12. These take a lot of focus, minimal breathing (because shakiness), and a leap of faith. The whole process from centering to shaping can’t be off in the slightest or the whole piece goes down. My goal with these is to creating a very dramatic shape with the slimmest neck as possible. I like to get the shape as close to right on the wheel and then I clean it up when I trim.
