It seems as though I will be starting a new series of drawings, perhaps paintings too, that will be "Fantasy Plants." This is the 3rd drawing of Fantasy Plants that I've created. It measures 6" x 6." And I created it using a variety of pens on acid-free paper. I call this piece, "Black Plant."

I have been working with purple trees with the color lavender. I love the combination of these 2 colors.

I use other colors, too, in my renditions of purple trees in their imaginary backgrounds.

This particular drawing, that is part of my ongoing series of Fantasy Trees is called "Swirling Branches."
I feel the branches are mostly warm in color, and perhaps exude a feeling of warmth.

Whew! This was a labor-intensive piece to create. Perhaps it took too long to create.
The black background was created exclusively through the use of line.
