Today’s favorite things comes from Miranda Jae Designs & Supply.  Her shop is full of customized labels and tags.  I fell in love with her cute return address labels.  I just love a personal touch on anything.  It’s so much fun to send and receive a letter with a cute label, I think.  It’s extra special.

Miranda sent me these monogram circle address labels.  They are oh so cute!

This stripe duvet set is from Target.  It’s my latest “look for less” find.  It looks just like this one from West Elm, but costs two thirds less.  My Target love just keeps growing.

4.  Ikea Dish Brush

Sometimes it’s the little things (like a dish brush) that just make life a little easier.  I have a stock of these under my sink and I love them.  The end has a little suction cup so you can stand it up on your sink.

I know it looks a little rough and it definitely needs some TLC.  Some of the nail heads have fallen off and the cushions could use a bit more fluff.  But it’s nothing that a good re-upholstery job can’t fix.

I don’t have any room for this in my house right now, but I convinced my husband to let me store it in the garage until we move (this was a big sacrifice for him–he hates unused things taking up precious garage space).  But it was just too good to pass up.  And the best part was the price—just $25.00!!!!  Yes, way too good to pass up!  I’m one happy woman today.

I’ve got a lot more fun new patterns so hop on over and check them out.  A bunch of these are indoor/outdoor fabrics which hold up beautifully outdoors for the summertime.

Do you remember this over the door pantry rack I posted about a while back?  It was in BHG magazine and they used it as a gift wrap station.  After my craft closet disaster, I was motivated to get extra organized, but I needed more space.  I used to have a few shelves and drawers on the bottom, but those had to be removed when I installed my fabric hanging bar.  So I took the plunge and bought the rack to store everything that used to fill the drawers.  It was a cinch to set up and you can adjust the shelves however you like.

It actually came with 2 more shelves that I didn’t have room for.  I use the bottom rack for storing gift bags and tissue paper.  The others are full of extra ribbon and craft supplies.

I couldn’t be more pleased with the rack.  You can buy it through Chefs Catalog.  The price has gone up $5.00 since I last posted about it, but it is such a functional piece that I didn’t mind the extra cost.

I have been SO SO excited all week to show you today’s look for less!  This might be my favorite one yet, because I was able to find such affordable options.  I received my Crate & Barrel magazine in the mail this week and opened up to this lovely page.

Why do I love this space?

1. Let’s start with the rustic wood plank fireplace surround.  It’s such a great contrast to the modern pieces and keeps the room looking cozy and casual.
2. The pops of color are so much fun.  But you’ll notice that the base of the room and the sofa’s are white, so color can easily be swapped in and out without having to change major pieces.

The second I saw this space, I knew I could find more affordable options that would still look just as fabulous as the original.  It got me to thinking…hmmm…could I put together this look for less with everything from Target?  Well, the answer was YES!

Everything in this “Look for Less” is from Target (except the rug is from Ikea)!!

The sofa is just a slipcover.  I’ve got light slipcovers on both my sofa and loveseat and it has done wonders to lighten up the room.  They are so easy to wash so I don’t worry about the kids getting them dirty.

Each of the shelving units is just $50.00 so you could get 4 of them and use 2 together on each side of the fireplace.  The C & B shelf costs $900 for just one, so this is a huge savings for a similar look.

The fireplace surround is a DIY project that wouldn’t be too hard.  Search your town for some reclaimed wood.  There are places that sell this stuff.  You would need to cut each plank and sand the edges.  Then adhere to the wall with some liquid nails and a nail gun.

Can I just say that I LOVE Target!  What would I do without that place?!

I gave it a couple coats of white spray paint and a couple coats of clear gloss enamel.

I traced the bottom of the tray onto my fabric. If you look closely you can see the line.

Before cutting, I brushed fabric Mod Podge around all the edges.  This prevents the fabric from fraying once it’s cut.  It goes on white, but dries clear.

The I used more Mod Podge to adhere the fabric to the tray.  I put a coat on the tray and a coat on the back of the fabric before adhering together.

I also put a little more around the edges to seal them shut.

I already had the supplies, so this was a quick and FREE project.

Not too shabby, eh?!  What do you think?  I have a feeling I’ll be using this tray a lot more than I used to.

Lots of new drywall anchors and a separate heavy duty hanging bar, mounted directly to the wall.

I feel like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders.  I am starting to feel organized again.  And yes, I did find the thing I was looking all over for.  I knew it was buried in the mess.  I’m crossing my fingers that everything holds!
