Green Heavy Polishing Pad - This pad is is used by Mercedes Benz at OEM level and is designed to be used with a random orbital polisher (like the Porter Cable) It produces less spot heating and has a unique compression/load/deflection ratio which means it conforms quickly to contours. It is a high strength foam with 60 pores per sq. inch yet is softer and more forgiving than our regular foams which have 80 pores per sq. inch. (3.5 inches wide).

Slows rate of polish absorption As discussed above, the pads are slow to absorb products and therefore the paint benefits from a longer working time. The same is true of liquid waxes and sealants.

Improves operator control CCS pockets gradually release polish as needed by the operator. Since these areas are not absorbing polish, they serve as little reservoirs until the excess polish is needed.

Prevents pad skipping CCS pockets reduce surface tension allowing the operator to run pad flat on a working surface. Basically, the CCS pockets break up the smooth surface of the foam to eliminate the sticking and skipping that occurs when two perfectly flat surfaces meet.

Creates less heat CCS pockets provide several points where the foam is not completely touching the paint. This reduces friction and therefore heat generated between the pad and the paint.

SECCO 3/16" Radius Shaping and Polishing Profile Package is the ideal combination of tools used to produce a 3/16 radius decorative edge on tile, counter tops and other natural stone and concrete surfaces.

This kit includes a SECCO 4" variable speed wet polisher, 3/16 radius diamond profile wheel and a complete set of 4" diamond polishing pads. The polishing pad set includes 1 each 50, 100, 200, 400, 800, 1500, 3000 grit polishing pads and a 10,000 grit final buff pad. This set also includes the rubber backer pad needed to attach the diamond pads to the polisher. This kit includes a 3/16" radius vacuum brazed diamond profile wheel. This vacuum brazed profile wheel is designed to produce a 3/16" radius (1/4 round) on natural or engineered stone and concrete. Very simple to use, the wheel screws directly on this tool. Our profile wheels feature an internal water feed for optimum cooling of the bit.

A nylon guide on the top of the bit rides on the surface of the stone and a lower bearing controls the depth of cut for consistent shaping. Turn on the water and the grinder, apply some force parallel with the working surface, you're on your way to that custom edge. After you shape the edge, attach the included Velcro backing pad onto the grinder and start the polishing process with the 100 grit pad (50 grit is included however it is very aggressive and should be used with caution). Continue polishing with each grit included with this kit ending with the 10,000 grit polishing pad and the factory shine can be achieved.
