El Metate (San Francisco, CA) reviewed by Fouse45 (9.5/10)

Sheer awesomeness. A great burrito and atmosphere. Moist and fresh. Solid salsa and bean selections. In the outskirts of the Mission . . . may be the best in SF . . . only time will tell. Carry out works well too. There is also a restaurant adjacent to the burrito shack where you can eat some other delicious Mexican food.

Viva shuritto.

Los Altos Taqueria (Mountain View, CA) reviewed by burritomtb (8/10)

This place is consistently good. We go there as often as possible. My favorite is the wet burrito with bbq chicken, black bean on whole wheat tortilla....washed down with a Mexican beer... Atmosphere is very informal. Place is always clean and well maintained. Everything is good, including the flan if you have room...

Taqueria La Cumbre (San Mateo, CA) reviewed by GrapeSmuggler (10/10)

Best burrito I have ever had. Absolutely perfect. Chicken and steak both taste excellent. Burrito holds together well, isn't dripping wet. Rice and beans have a good flavor as well. They offer free chips and salsa. Chips aren't the best, but who is really going to a burrito joint for the chips anyways?

I have not been able to find a place better than La Cumbre yet.

La Victoria Taqueria (San Carlos St) (San Jose, CA) reviewed by GrapeSmuggler (4/10)

I was refered to this taqueria by some coworkers. They said it was a great place to get a burrito, and that the "orange sauce" was delicious.

To say the least, I was extremely disappointed, and would not recommend eating here. The "orange sauce" was nothing to rave about in my opinion. I got chicken in my burrito, and it really didn't have a great amount of flavor. The burrito was very wet inside, and I had to suck out the contents before taking a bite.
Super Taqueria (Almaden Rd) (San Jose, CA) reviewed by BurritoBliss (9.5/10)

Phenomenal burritos!!! If this was the only burrito I could eat, I would have a fulfilling life as a burrito fanatic. I had the Super Burrito with carnitas (it is the one without rice and has whole pinto beans and slices of avocado). That was two months ago. Since then I have been back five times and have also sampled the carne asada burrito. Both are great meat selections, but the carnitas is better. The burritos are big and a good value (all priced under $5). The service is fast and friendly. They melt the cheese on the grill before assembling. Can you say heaven?

Here is why I gave it a 9.5: I have introduced it to three of my friends from college and they are hooked. All three of them put the burrito in the top three they have ever tasted. Additionally, this place is legend in our office as one of my colleagues introduced me to it (he goes there at least two times a week).
Ocean Taqueria (Ocean) (San Francisco, CA) reviewed by JfeverburritoEater (10/10)

First of all, anyone that can say i will never eat at this place again is just nuts and shouldnt be allowed to eat a burritO again!

Im from the south bay and drive 50 miles to get one of these. IT IS WORTH IT.
My buddy discovered this place going to SF State. In different sizes baby, Super, Jumbo, and now an even larger JUMBO(with 2 meats).
4 Options for tortillas with regular flour, Wheat, Sun dried tomato, and Spinach.

I have only ordered the JUMBO burrito w/ GRILLED CHICKEN! Every time i go. Its become a tradition.
The chicken is raw when you get there, so you can watch your meat get cooked up and dont forget to tell them to grill it peppers and onions if you dig that. Meanwhile the cheese IS inside the already large tortillas(YES 2,a jumbo is made w/ 2 tortillas), when they throw them in the steamer.

By this time they are loading you up with either Refried,Whole beans, or black beans. You really cant go wrong with any of them. I do prefer the black or whole. One type of mexican rice is placed along w/ the very fresh lettuce, pico de gallo, sour cream, guacamole, and your choice of either rojo(red)much hotter sauce,or verde(green)not as hot sauce. By then those guys will start wrapping your burrito up, at that point i ask for cilantro and jalapenos as well.

Now you have the tastiest, footlong+ burrito you can find in the bay, you better be hungry you will be full and be thinking about the next time you want to come back already. enjoy.

JFev

El Grullense (El Camino/Wilson) (Redwood City, CA) reviewed by davejohanson (8.5/10)

This was only the second time visiting El Grullense in RWC. I had such a good experience some months back I decided to try them again. I ordered the BBQ Pork with everything. They had a great mixture of fresh ingredients with just the right level of spicyness. The beans were very fresh and cooked to perfection. That is one thing that is commonly wrong with most burritos I have ordered at other restaurants, so I was pleasently surprised. I have had many burritos over the years, but the ones here always seem to stand-out as fresher and tastier than any I have had before.

Bravo Burrito (St Cloud, MN) reviewed by spd (10/10)

This restaurant has kept me coming back to St. Cloud since moving away in 1996 at least once a year and lately—now that I live in Minneapolis—every month or two. I made the 2 hour round trip up there a couple weeks ago and stuck to my usually plan: one burrito there, two for the road. It’s cash only at Bravo Burritos so I have to come packing at least a twenty (once I forgot and had to run to a cash machine while they held my burrito) but the prices have only inched up about 50 cents in the last 15 years. You can still get a giant burrito for about 6 bucks and these are not the sloppy, cold, ball-like corporate burritos that use a penny’s worth of cheap foil and fall apart after two bites. No, Bravo Bill who owns the joint has taught his crew what I believe is the perfect burrito rolling technique. The final product is solid as a brick, long but thick, warm, and wrapped in ample foil. The ends of the burrito are not folded in during the wrapping process but instead twisted to seal. He and his crew are truly artists and though they have been accused of not being the most inviting staff I personally have never had a bad experience. Everyone there I have found to be courteous and professional. I would rather skip the corporate smiles and BS that the chains have to resort to so a person will choke down their reheated slop and instead be served by a knowledgeable staff that knows their business. Less talk, more action… and the proof is in the food. I’ve tried all of their meat selections which are each unique and delicious but over the years I’ve found myself sticking to two most of the time: Chicken Mole and Chorizo. I’ll mix it up with another selection once in a while but living an hour plus away I’ll have to at least get my usual order for the trip back. The chorizo, by the way, is unlike any I’ve had before or since. This time, though, there is a special meat offering of Poblano Pork that sounds great: three types of chili, pork, onion, and potato from what I remember. I decided to give it a try since it’s for a limited time. I order a Basic burrito which comes with refried beans, rice, and meat. Four salsas or hot sauces are available either on the burrito or on the side and I haven’t had a burrito there without their habanero sauce since well before I left town. It is the best hab sauce I’ve had anywhere. Very hot, of course, but flavorful and not vinegary or garlicy or anything else. The fruity taste of the hab really comes through. And it blends perfectly with their meats without overpowering the flavors. My order is brought out to me after about 3 minutes served with a handful of tortilla chips as is usual. I’m expecting the Poblano Pork to be good but I was not expecting it to dethrone one or both of my favs. After finishing I went back up to order my two burritos to go… one of the two was another Poblano. It was that good. I can only hope when I get up there again it has either made the permanent menu or is at least still being offered. I’m planning to make that trip tomorrow. If you are in St. Cloud or central MN in general, you can’t go wrong making a Bravo run. Every person I’ve brought there to try the food still talks about it to this day even if over a decade has passed since their last visit. And occasionally I’ll grab a couple extra burritos and drop them off with friends that haven’t been able to get up there for a while, sometimes years. Their intense appreciation is testament to the great thing Bravo Bill has done with his restaurant.

Santa Fe Burrito (Wynnewood, PA) reviewed by yardleyrito (6/10)

Disappointing. Terrible construction, terrible ingredient distribution and the addition of lettuce to the burrito made my trip last week a waste of money and time. The chips were awful and tasted liek they came out of a bag from the grocery store. Believe it or not, you are better off at the chain Chipotle's down the road in Ardmore.

Excellent burritos. The flying steak or chicken are the recommended grinds for "big burrito friday" Served with chips and tasty salsa. Jerry's also serves up the baja style pollo plates. Tritip is fantastic. Healthy portions of meat. Side orders are huge.

I have eated burrito's all over New Jersey and I must say the 10th Ave. Burrito in Belmar New Jersey is the best I've ever had. I am in Belmar every week and they will see me there picking up a breakfast burrito or a dinner to take on the boat with me. I saw the place when the PIX 11 news was there and I couldn't wait to try them. I loved it . The food was so fresh and taated great! I will be regular from now on.

La Playita (Los Angeles, CA) reviewed by BrianAlbers (7.5/10)

Quite a popular spot with the Venice locals, and pretty good food, but this place has a couple drawbacks. My carne asada burrito was on the spicy side which I like, but it seems they pack in more beans and rice these days as opposed to the old days. But the drawbacks are fairly glaring- no salsa bar although they do include a few carrots and radishes with every order. No bathroom = no toilet and no washing of hands. No parking although there is a tire store next door with an area for parking if it's after hours, but if it's daytime your only choice is the meters on Lincoln Blvd. Perhaps worst of all is that there's no place to sit except for a large metal countertop which is at about sitting level and if it's daytime there's no shade which means that thing gets burning hot and if it's the evening the breeze gets rather chilly because it's so close to the beach. No indoor seating so this is your only choice other than sitting in your car to chow down which is a common practice here.

One of the big pros about this place is the price- that tasty burrito and a Coke totaled under 5 bucks. But with all those cons I can't say this will be a regular stop of mine.

Casa Vicky (San Jose, CA) reviewed by mfloresjr (10/10)

The food is flavorful at Casa Vicky. I enjoy eating their beef and bean burritos.
They offer a choice of hot or mild chili flavor.
Both Flour and Corn Tortillas are baked fresh daily. They are delicious. You can buy them by the dozen to take home for later meals.
There is an extra banquet room for family birthday celebrations. 0ver 20 of us enjoyed eating an afternoon lunch there for my brother's birthday last year and we were treated like executive quests.

I also enjoy Casa Vicky Restaurant because of the clean environment, friendly workers and reasonable prices.

La Cumbre Taqueria (San Francisco, CA) reviewed by rad1964 (10/10)

I have been coming to La Cumbre for over 20 years. Simply the best overall meat quality in any burrito, whether its chicken, pork or beef.
Let me also state "they do NOT charge for chips". They offer them FREE with your burrito. (At least here in San Francisco).
Their Pollo Asada (grilled chicken) is awesome! Now as any review you can take this review with a grain of salt.. I love my burritos 'dry'. I am not a wet burrito fan, at all. So when I order mine from La Cumbre, Its cheese meat and beans + rice. I may drop hot sauce on it while eating or occasionally get them to put in 'poquito rojo salsa', ( a little hot red sauce). Now I know their guacamole is a bit 'cut' down.. aka watered down? But I don't order that.

If you want to compare La Cumbre with the 2 other close by taqueria's, Pancho Villa and El Toro, I can do that, as I have eaten both a dozen times or so. There is nothing wrong with these other two places, El Pastor I have given this name to their burrito, "The Worm". It is definitely gigantic compared to La Cumbre, but where they go wrong in my book is the quality and flavor of their meat. El Toro compares well also, but out of twenty years going to both, I have gotten more gristle at El Toro then at La Cumbre. Case closed.

Murrieta's (Bonita, CA) reviewed by oshinnluv (8/10)

Murrieta's is a sit down restaurant, not a taco shop in the traditional sense (i.e. you're supposed to tip someone before you leave) but the food is authentic despite the lack of plastic trays and self-serve drink stations. Everything is reasonably priced for a restaurant and the service is impeccable. I've been there many times for family gatherings and I usually order the same thing: chicken chimichanga. Basically a fried burrito covered with all manner of delicious sauces and toppings. The chicken is broiled and carefully seasoned, moist in texture and juicy but not overly so. Guacamole, sour cream, and salsa are bountiful and well integrated into the flavors as a whole. It's not spicy, but is very clean tasting. This is a burrito that you have to eat with a fork-picking it up is not even a possibility. Flanked by a solid helping of rice and beans, I often find unfinished food on my plate when my stomach indicates satiation.

Picante Cocina Mexicana (Berkeley, CA) reviewed by Cleo (1/10)

The variety and authenticity of Picante have kept me a customer since the 1980s. My favorites: SOPA AZTECA 6.95 -- chicken soup with roasted tomato, pasilla negro chiles, avocado, crispy tortilla strips and queso cotija. VEGETABLE TAMALES 8.95 -- butternut squash and poblano chiles, comes with rice and your choice of beans. Manchamanteles plato 8.99 -- "tablecloth stainer" chicken in a red mole sauce, served with beans, rice and four corn tortillas (you can see the woman making the tortillas.) This filling is also available in a burrito (regular or grande.) I have had practically every item on the menu over the years, and they are all delicious.

To all you GI problem eaters, avoid the tostadas. This is the only item I've had stomach issues with. I believe it is the combination of cooked meat and cold lettuce, always dangerous.

Santana's (Point Loma) (San Diego, CA) reviewed by gaetano01 (9/10)

I'm from Ohio but being in the Navy I've lived all across the country for the past 12 years (RI, SC, FL, MD, and San Diego). I never knew how glorious burritos could be until I came to San Diego ... forget the sour cream, all you need is meat and guac. One thing has puzzled me for several years however: I have never had tortillas anywhere else in the country as good as the ones in San Diego. There something distinctly different about them ... what is it???

Oh yeah the Breakfast Burritos here are awesome. That and carnitas are the two things I get every time.

Ceviche Taqueria (San Mateo, CA) reviewed by BurritoCrusader (9.5/10)

Ceviche Taqueria is a new family-run place on the B Street taqueria strip that I literally stumbled upon the other day while in search of some good eats. It's about a block north of Trag's Grocery on the same side of the street. When you walk in you realize you just entered the cleaniest, newest-looking taqueria in San Mateo. Even the bathroom was spotless! The place is deceivingly large because when you walk in, all you see is an open grill and a small counter with a few bar stools where you can sit, but there is actually an entire table-and-chairs section at the back of the restaurant complete with a salsa bar. But onto the actual food:

As the name implies, Ceviche Taqueria specializes in seafood-related Mexican food. They have shrimp/prawn burritos, shrimp/prawn and steak burritos, and you can even order fresh filets of various types of fish-- salmon and halibut the day I was there. They also serve burgers if you're in that sort of mood.

The first time I went, I didn't realize they were a seafood-oriented place, so I ordered my usual Super Chicken Burrito. I watched as my chicken was cooked fresh on the grill specifically for MY burrito-- not as a batch that would eventually go into a chicken 'bucket' with a warmer under it. This burrito was I'd say an 8 because it was very good, very fresh, and very satisfying, though maybe not one of the very best burritos I've ever had. The real deal came when I went back today and ordered a Super Shrimp Burrito:

Again, my shrimp was put on the grill specifically for MY burrito. It came with sour cream, guacamole, cheese, salsa, rice, and beans. Overall, the burrito was more moist and flavorful than most other burritos I've had. Instead of packing it full of rice and beans, I received a generous and well-thought out balance of ingredients. They LOADED it up with fresh green guacamole. I have never seen any taqueria load this much guacamole onto a burrito. Let me repeat. THERE WAS TONS OF GUACAMOLE! I was in guac heaven!!! This is so rare because everyone else skimps on the guac these days. The guac tasted like it had just been made, and it didn't taste like that fake super creamy smooth guac that comes in a bucket. There was stringy melted cheese too, and the combination of the cold guacamole, explode-in-your-mouth-with-flavor just-caught shrimp, and warm melted cheese was so overwhelming.

Another genius aspect of Ceviche Taqueria's super burritos is that they give you your sour cream in a little plastic container (like the little ones with lids you use to take salsa home), and I realized that the reason for this is three-fold: a) Some people like lots of sour cream and some people like very little sour cream and b) I like my sour cream to be cool when I encounter it in my burrito; I don't like it to be semi-liquified and warmed by the heat, and c) for to-go orders, the rest of your burrito stays really hot while in transit. I ordered a super chicken burrito to go, drove for 10 minutes, and then let it sit for another 30 minutes, and when my friend ate it, it was still fairly warm. The only annoying thing here is that you have to balance your burrito in one hand while trying to apply sour cream with a utility as you make your way through the burrito, but I still think it is worth separating the sour cream from the burrito until you are ready to eat it, as I have seen sour cream done very poorly in so many Super burritos.

My friend and I estimated that I have consumed approximately 3285 burritos in my lifetime as of May 2009, and I'm 27. I eat a burrito about every other day, so when I declared at the end of my meal, "That was one of the best burritos I've ever had," I meant it, and should not be taken lightly. I was so satisfied with this Super Shrimp Burrito that I started rambling excitedly to my friend that I wanted to create a specific appetizer that just consisted of dipping freshly grilled shimp, covered in melted cheese, into cold fresh home-made guacamole. Mmmmmm.

Other benefits I can think of:
-For some reason, probably because the burrito wasn't packed full of too much 'filler' rice, I'm not getting a "burrito coma" right now (~an hour after eating) like I sometimes get after a big burrito meal.
-Salsa bar contains only super fresh salsas. Most notable was the pico-de-gallo salsa. It seriously looked like it had just been made, and wasn't sitting in a pool of liquid that you see collecting in the pico-de-gallo containers at other taquerias.
-Chips were just right. Warm, salty, not too hard, not too thick, not too thin. The "baby bear" of chips.
-We ordered and were served at our table and didn't have to wait in line to order
-Staff / family who runs the place has experience running other restaurants in bay area and was super friendly to me and my friend on both visits.
-Like I said at the beginning, the place is newly remodeled and looks brand new in terms of paint/decor/art/tables. I've never seen a cleaner taqueria.

Definition of a 9 on Burritophile:

"Near-perfect. You'd go out of your way for this.
It's pretty hard to find a 9. All ingredients have to be great: salsa, beans, rice, guac/avocado must all be fresh, any meat must be grilled on the spot, and all of the flavors have to burst. The difference between 9 and 10 is almost a state of mind. A 10 is better, but it's tough to say exactly how."

My experience with this prawn burrito satisfies everything for a '9,' and I would have given this a 10, but I don't really believe in a 10 because I'm on a life long mission to find The Perfect Burrito. This is as close as I have come to perfect in the Super Shrimp/Seafood Burrito category.

Price is a tad higher than some other taquerias, but actually about the same for a seafood burrito. I know a place in Burlingame that charges the same or more for a seafood or seafood/steak burrito, so I found this place to be reasonable considering what you get. I would definitely recommend getting something seafood-related if you go here. I will be going back real soon to try their fresh fish or something else on the menu.

Taqueria Los Pericos (Dublin, CA) reviewed by treed (7.5/10)

I've been to Los Pericos a number of times, and they are inconsistent. This makes scoring them somewhat difficult. They do show flashes of brilliance, but they also have certain persistent issues.

The burritos here come wrapped in foil: a lot of foil. No, really, a LOT of foil. Would you believe triple-wrapped? Now, I have to mention that I'm not a fan of a double-wrapped burrito because of the wastefulness of the excess foil, but also because burritos that have an extra layer of foil usually need it. In other words, there will probably be an issue with seepage or the tortilla unraveling itself. Los Pericos does this to an extreme, to the point where the final few bites are nothing but soggy mess.

Other than that, however, the burritowork can be pretty good, although integration leaves something to be desired. The ingredients are of good quality and are cooked well. The chile verde is not spicy enough for me, but the addition of the salsa verde from the salsa bar perks it up nicely.

The shop has been on the not-so-clean side every time I've been there, but that might be because I show up near the end of the lunch rush, and they may not have had time to clean things up.

Difficult to score. I've had better and worse burritos here, but I think 7.5 is a decent compromise (adding a little for taste). If they solved the construction issues, they could easily be higher.

El Mariachi Taqueria (Davis, CA) reviewed by treed (7/10)

I've stopped at El Mariachi a couple of times between Sacramento and the Bay Area. Downtown Davis is surprisingly easy to park in.

Burritos here are generally solid. I preferred the carne asada to the carnitas. Other than bland carnitas, I found little to dislike. Integration was decent, tortilla grilled, service friendly, salsa bar very well stocked. The salsa bar included a habanero variety which was nicely hot. Horchata was decent as well.

Overall, you could spend a worse lunch than sitting here with the asada, the habanero salse, and watching Chievo draw with Internazionale Milan.

Tacos Moreno (Water) (Santa Cruz, CA) reviewed by Lu3ke (3.5/10)

Their burritos aren't BAD, exactly, just kind of run-of-the-mill. The tortillas and veggies are reasonably fresh, although the guacamole is kind of pasty. However, it is the lack of Black Beans that earns this joint such a low score. No Frijoles Negroes? That's just plain sad.

Santana's (Sports Arena) (San Diego, CA) reviewed by sticky_pudding (7.5/10)

Like others have said, it isn't quite as good as the Rosecrans location, but it is pretty consistent and still serves up pretty good food. The service is great, they nearly always get your order right, and they aren't stingy with the hot sauce like at Rosecrans. I've never been particularly impressed with Santana's beans, but I have to admit that their menu addition of grilled mushrooms makes up for it (ever tried just a side of grilled mushrooms with melted cheese? HEAVEN.)
Taqueria Zamorano (Oakland, CA) reviewed by deepeast (9/10)

Hard to believe that there's no review of this gem of a burrito spot. The refried beans are amazing, my favorite. I tend to go for a bean, rice, and cheese with extra beans they're so good. They also have whole pinto and black beans. the super burrito is a monster, using 2 tortillas (hence the price). My girl loves the stewed chicken and carne asada. Great salsa too, and fresh carrots in the pickled veggie delight. They used to have green onions that you could on the side, for free of course, but i haven't seen those around recently. I have asked for them since, and usually 1 or 2 can be produced from the kitchen.
The service is always interesting. Eating there, they give you chips and salsa but the service can be a bit slow. The to go counter is usually pretty quick, but sometimes it can have a long line with people making crazy requests like "Can i get salsa but no onions." So it's not unusual to catch the staff not in the best of moods. But that's also part of the charm.
All in all, one of the best burritos in East Oakland.

El Farolito (24th/Alabama) (San Francisco, CA) reviewed by deepeast (8.5/10)

Great mission burrito. The veggitarian burrito is great. It comes with whole pinto beans and avocado instead of guacamole. The burritos can be a little loose at times, but that's not too big of an issue. As the other review states, the nachos are also really good and HUGE, and the ceviche was awesome. I got more when getting it to go. Good salsa, but bland cheap bagged chips.
I prefer this location to the Mission St, it is larger and there's more room and windows. Also easier to find parking if you're driving.

Casa Mexicana (Church) (San Francisco, CA) reviewed by rubberchixen (6.5/10)

DON'T USE A CREDIT CARD HERE!!!

I actually like this place a lot for the convince of it's location and, the food for the most part is pretty darned good (depending on the time of day you go and, who's constructing your food). My only complaint is they steam the tortillas.

Okay... that being said, be careful how you pay!
I've always paid in cash but, one time I was a wee bit short so I used my credit card... BIG MISTAKE!!!
Two hours later I got a call from my bank saying my card was being used all over the place...
~San Francisco for a pair of "work" shoes and a big screen Television, Florida for a cruise to the Bahamas... all tolled there were 14 suspicious charges made in the two hours after having used my card there.
Long story short, the bank took care of it (it should be said that I hadn't used my card anywhere else for two months prior) and, they were pretty damned sure the theft or card cloning had taken place at Casa Mexicana.

When I went back that same night to talk to (and warn) an owner/manager about the problem... He couldn't have been less interested.
Come to find out after having shared this story with friends, I wasn't the only person this had happened to at this particular restaurant.

SO, enjoy the food and the atmosphere, just be VERY careful how you decide to pay...
If you don't have the cash I'd suggest a quick trip to the ATM

Santana's (Sports Arena) (San Diego, CA) reviewed by tikipete (8.5/10)

This is one of my favorite places in the Point Loma area. Agreed the the Rosecrans location is best. Skip the California unless you like a lot of pappas. The carne asada is thier specialty and the breakfast burritos are MONDO!
Make sure they see you tip the jar and your burritos will be as sexy as ever.

La Borinquena Mexicatessen (Oakland, CA) reviewed by CarneAwesome (6/10)

Communists are clearly taking over the country, and these burritos are the harbingers of our gastrointestinal lives. Who sells burritos with only meat, beans and rice? All other options, even a bit of salsa... I am sorry, I can't go on with this review. It breaks my heart. These burritos made me lose faith in life... they weren't terrible, they weren't tasty... they were just plain Jane old burritos. Smooth jazz burritos. Burritos your aunt gets for the kids. Burritos that make you forget what burritos can taste like. Burritos you might find in Ohio.

Why subject yourself to mediocrity?

Taqueria Margaritas (Mountain View, CA) reviewed by treed (6/10)

This is a really small shop in a small stripmall on El Camino. Perhaps typical, but it was the only location in the strip that was open on a Sunday afternoon; it wasn't very crowded.

Perhaps telling is that the futbol game on the TV was the MLS (New York Red Bulls against DC United; when I left during the first period, NY was up 2-1). Telling because this burrito is the equivalent of the MLS to the Premiership of Los Charros and the Serie A of La Bamba. Not terrible as these things go, just not great either.

I ordered a carnitas super and a horchata. I had no complaints about the horchata: really, I didn't.

The carnitas, on the other hand, were overly crispy to the point of being charred and scorched (are those the same?). The tortilla, rice, beans, etc were merely competent (certainly not good enough to raise the score after the meat 'flamed'-out like that).

Overall, it was ok, but given the location, I'm less than certain I will return.
