Watch the SeaWorld and Busch Gardens Animal Ambassadors this Week!

SeaWorld & Busch Gardens animal ambassadors will make several national appearances over the next several days. They can be seen first on Univision's national morning show "Despierta America" on Friday, February 10. A Moluccan cockatoo, a red fox, and two colorful Scarlet ibis will be the stars of the set during a fun Valentine’s Day segment.

Despierta America airs nationally on Univision. Check local listings.

Then, on Saturday, February 11, tune into Weekend TODAY when Julie Scardina will introduce Amy and Lester to some unusual animals from Busch Gardens Tampa including a ground hornbill, a hyrax and an echidna which is one of just a few mammals that actually lays eggs. On Monday, February 13, Matt, Anne and the gang will learn about the ways that tarantulas, armadillos and opossums defend themselves from predators. Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Hoda and Kathie Lee will meet some monogamous animals – Pete and Penny penguin and a pair of military macaws from Discovery Cove. SeaWorld and Busch Gardens animal ambassadors can be seen on two national shows on Friday, December 23.

First on Despierta America, Pedro Ramos-Navarrete will introduce some fun winter animals, including a puffin, a couple of adorable chinchillas, a gyrfalcon, and a Lynx. Make sure you tune in to see Pedro and the animals for what is sure to be an entertaining and educational segment. Despierta America airs nationally on Univision; check your local listings for air times. ¡Feliz Navidad!

Then during the fourth hour of the TODAY Show, Julie Scardina and a cockatoo named Maxine from SeaWorld San Diego will steal the show when she decorates a Christmas tree with candy canes. Hoda and Kathie Lee will meet a pair of small clawed Asian otters and a reindeer during this Christmas themed appearance. SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment announced today a 10-year agreement with The Coca-Cola Company that makes Coca-Cola® the “Official Refreshment Beverage” of our parks beginning January 1, 2012.

The new agreement includes product offerings, consumer promotions and sponsorship opportunities designed to maximize marketing collaboration and activation. Coca-Cola fountain beverages will be made available to park guests throughout the company’s 10 parks including at restaurants, dining services, mobile carts and vending areas. Products will include Coca-Cola®, Diet Coke®, Sprite®, Coke ZeroTM and Dasani® as well as other non-alcoholic beverages including soda, water, energy drinks, teas, juices and even coffee through its Georgia CoffeeTM brand.

Wake up on Saturday morning and watch animal ambassadors from SeaWorld & Busch Gardens on TODAY. Julie Scardina will introduce Lester Holt and Amy Robach to a pair of Magellanic penguins from SeaWorld Orlando as well as a vulture and a crane. While people think that birds are fragile, they accomplish some incredible feats. Penguins survive in extreme weather conditions, cranes can fly up to 500 miles in one day during their annual migration and vultures clean up the environment by eating toxins without experiencing any detrimental effects.
