Apply for an EIN number using the SS4 form via the internet. This number will identify you to the government for tax purposes.

Once you have the number. Contact DNB for a duns numbers. This number will help your business obtain the credit you are working hard for. The Duns number is like a fico but for businesses. There are a lot of small business owners who have no idea of what this number represents or have not even heard of this Corporation at all. Call dnb request for a free number. The csr will try to up sell you on the credit builder for $300.00 to $500.00 which is a good plan if you have the extra income. This deal will provide you with a number on the spot and several credit reports. That’s all so it’s not necessary to get, when you can do the same work for free. Just tell them you want the free number and it’s for your vendors. Note the number will take several weeks to process.

Now take these documents EIN number, DUNS number, Articles of Incorporation, and your fictitious Business name to your local credit union and establish a Business checking account. I like local credit union because it’s easier to start a working relationship with the branch manager. This contact will be very important in the future when its time to apply for a credit card or line of credit. So every time you make a deposit make it a point to say hi and be seen. Also the credit unions are great because they are not over leverage compared to major banks, which were exposed to the sub prime market. Credit unions are owner by members so the unions are managed better.

This was lesson 2 and stay tune for the next lesson from business credit card lines.

James Roberts

http://business-credit-card-lines.blogspot.com/

Business links

Business Credit Card Lines have always been a value to small business in the UK and USA. Due to the tax benefits and personal liability issues, I would recommend this option. I will get into this topic later. S Corp, LLC VS C Corp

Next the paper work begins. You will think of a name and conduct a Business name search. Contact the Secretary of State web site and search the database of names. Once you selected a name. Summit a request to reserve the name of your business that was selected. This process takes several weeks, to hear anything back from the State so stay cool. If your Business name has been taken you will be advised so " always have a second choice just in case the first name has been selected".

During the waiting period Check the fees that are required for the application.

Now the name verification has come back all clear and its time for you to summit the application. Make sure all lines have been filled out correctly because the Secretary of State will reject the application along with Articles of Incorporation. I will get into this topic later.

Contact the city your business is located in and summit a request for a fictitious Business name. Use the same name you selected for your corporation. Most likely all that will be required in this step will be an application, fees and a newspaper ad.

I know what you are saying what does this have to do with Business Credit, Business loans and business credit cards. Well it has a lot to do with it. You must crawl before you can walk and spend. So be cool and once we get into the next lessons it all will make sense.

You have just completed the Business Credit Card lines Basics Lesson 1

Thanks,
James W Roberts

http://business-credit-card-lines.blogspot.com/

Business Credit Cards

Welcome to Business credit card lines Basics for Businesses. I have provided you with a list of low level Business that provide business credit to new business. Try the net 30 account first and then move up to the bigger business names.

After lesson 3. I will provide a list of mid level businesses. When you get to this level do not apply of these cards until you have had the net 30 accounts for a few months. This is so you can establish a pattern of making payment on time. Please review Business Credit Card lesson 2 for further information on this topic.

I did not provide links to the businesses because I did not want all of you to think, I was getting paid as an affiliate on the list provided. This list has over 100 businesses and it took me years to compile it. At first I was thinking i should write a book an sell the information. But thats when i started to think back, way back in the day. I would stay up all night looking for information on business credit. And all of the web sites that i visited wanted me to buy the info or sign up for a newsletter. This drove me out of my mind.

So this blog is design to give new businesses the tools needed to obtain credit. The correct way. The only thing I ask you to do is pass the information on to others.

Vicking,
Nebs,
Rapid Forms,
National Pen,
Uline,
UPS,
DHL,
Kinkos,
Grainger,
Staples,
office Depot,
Office Max,
Dell,
Target,
Barn & Noble,
Amazon,
Toy R Us,
Pep boys
Firestone, and Tiffany's.
