What is an acceptable use policy? Who decides what constitutes acceptable use? What can happen if you violate an acceptable use policy?</title><description>An acceptable use policy defines what a person can and cannot do on a machine or the Internet connection he or she is on. A policy is always used to make sure machines(computers, services, etc.) are used in an way acceptable to that company. For example, if I had a company named Jordan BP selling computers as CEO along with senior management would create a acceptable use policy for our machines and the owners of that policy decide what is acceptable for a particular machine.
