DCE Admission List: The Federal Polytechnic Bida released the FOURTH Batch of 2011/2012 DCE admission list this afternoon. Please the admission list is pasted on the school admin notice board. You can check yours now. This information is specifically for those that applied to the school during this year's JAMB UTME and also attended the screening exercise.

Pre ND Info: The Federal Polytechnic Bida Pre-ND Programme is mainly for those who don't have up to the 5 O'Level Credit required for admission through UTME. If you take a Pre-ND form, you will be required to pass all your pre-ND courses. Then, you will still need to write the next JAMB and score up to the cut-off point for Post UTME. Only when these are met, then you can be considered for admission.

O'Level Requirement For Admission: You are required to have to possess minimum of 5 O'Level Credits. These should comprise Credits in English Language, Mathematics, and any other three subjects relevant to your choice course.

ENTRY QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENT
The minimum entry requirements for Higher National Diploma Programmes in the specified field are:-
(a) The National Diploma (ND) in the relevant programme with minimum of Lower Credit in the field of interest and (5) Relevant Credits at SSCE, NTC, GCE, WAEC, NECO, NBC or NABTEB Level.
(b) A Minimum of one (1) year Post National Diploma (ND) cognate working experience (Industrial Training).
(c) All Graduands (Except that of federal Polytechnic, Bida) are to send Transcripts of their National Diploma under Confidential covers to the Registrar, Federal Polytechnic, Bida to ease consideration of their admission requests.

2.0 NATIONAL DIPLOMA PROGRAMMES
The Polytechnic also runs 2 year full National Diploma (ND) in all the above listed programmes as well as the following:-
(i) Computer Science
(ii) Nutrition and Dietetics

Interested applicants should apply through JAMB and sit for UTME in the relevant subjects. Only candidates who meet the JAMB cut-off mark shall be considered for admission.

Entry Requirements for ND Programme include a minimum of Five CREDIT Passes of SSCE, NTE, NECO, WAEC, GCE, NBC, or NABTEB at not more than two sittings.

3.0 SCHOOL OF PRELIMININARY STUDIES
Pre-National Diploma Science and Technology programme prepares candidates for subsequent admission into a full time Diploma Programme in Engineering Technology, Applied Science and Environmental Studies offered in the Polytechnic.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR PRE-SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY PROGRAMMES

Candidate must have a minimum of five passes at SSCE, NTC, GCE, WAEC, NECO, NBC, or NABTEB level or the equivalent. Subjects passed must include Mathematics, English Language and in any of the following: Physics, Chemistry, Biology and any other subject depending on the National diploma Programme of interest to the candidate.

4.0 METHOD OF APPLICATION

All applicants must purchase the Polytechnic Admission Scratch Card from any branch of Intercontinental Bank Plc for a fee of five Thousand Naira (N5,000.00) only with the PIN code. The admission form can be accessed online at the Polytechnic Website http://www.fedpolybidaportal.com.ng/. by following the procedure below:

(i) Open to the Website
(ii) Click online forms
(iii) Click Admission form
(iv) Enter your PIN Code and Click Login
(v) Fill the form
(vi) Click Preview form
(vii) Upload your passport size picture and print the preview
(viii) Click submit
(ix) Attach photocopy of your credentials to copies of the print out and submit to the Registrar, Federal Polytechnic Bida Niger State Nigeria, on or before September 30th, 2011.

JAMB 2012 UTME Admissions Cut-off Point Released University(180) Poly, COE, Others(160)

The Joint Admission and Matriculations Board (JAMB) has announced the 2012/2013 JAMB UTME admission cut-off mark for Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges of Education.

The Honourable Minister of Education, Professor Ruqayyatu Ahmed Rufai announced the cut-off mark for admission into colleges of Education and polytechnics as 160, and that for admission into all Federal Universities as 180 for the 2012/2013 academic session.

On Monday, at the 2012 Combined Policy Meeting, Prof Rufa'i, while speaking at a meeting in Abuja warned JAMB not to admit candidates without the required qualification and certificates. She gave this warning to Degree-Awarding institutions, National Diploma (ND), Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) and National Innovation Diploma (NID) awarding institutions.

The Minister said admission should not be given to candidates who applied for the National Certificate of Education (NCE), National Diploma (ND) or the Interim Joint Matriculation Board Examination (IJMBE) without the prerequisite Advance Level (A/L) certificate.

Chelsea FC Wins 2012 UEFA Champions League

Chelsea Football Club of England has joined the UEFA Hall of Fame. Despite all odds, the team put up a good fight to clinch the coveted trophy, by defeating Bayern Munich in the finals with a scoreline of 4 - 3.

Chelsea Football Club of England carved its name on the Munich Pitch, and it will take Bayern a long time to cover that up.

If you check the List of UEFA Champions on Wikipedia, you'll see a good list of past winners, with Chelsea FC proudly represented at the end of that table as the Defending Champions. That makes me so elated as a Chelsea Fan.

Chelsea goalkeeper, Petr Cech, and the deadly Didier Drogba are the two names that Bayern will always dread. The firing of André Villas-Boas by Roman Abramovich seem to have paid off after all. Roberto Di Matteo came in and galvanized the squad towards its greatest moment. The change was an inspired one.

UBA Naira Visa Africard: Another Online Payment Card Option

UBA Bank just like my dear GTBank now offer a prepaid Naira Debit Card. But unlike that from GTB which is a Naira Mastercard, theirs is called UBA AFRICACARD and it's a VISA Card. Nevertheless, the card can be used in ATMs, POS and ONLINE.

The good news is 'You don't even need to have an account with the bank before you can get yours'. All you need is an ID Card and passport photograph.

The card will cost you N750 to get. Visit any UBA bank for full details. But, before you go, let me educate you on some very IMPORTANT details that you might not get at the bank.

Like most Prepaid Debit Card, the card comes with two different PINs.

One is for your use at the ATM.
The other is for use ONLINE.

When your application is approved and processed, you will be given an envelope containing your Card. Open the envelope, and check at the bottom right corner of the welcome letter. You will see a TRANSPARENT NYLON COVERING. This is where your two PINs are hidden. You will have to peel off that transparent nylon covering, and please do this by yourself. DO NOT THROW AWAY THAT NYLON COVERING, because that is where your PINs are but you are likely not going to see it.

Immediately after peeling it off, take the nylon covering and then press it against a white paper. you can do this on any white space on your welcome letter. You should now see the PINs but you have to strain your eyes and look closely to see them. Rush to the ATM and change the ATM PIN.

But remember that the ATM PIN is for use only at the ATM, and is entirely different from the WEB PIN. Remember, the two PINs are on that nylon covering, so and please do not throw it away yet.

You can use your WEB PIN to log in into the www.myubaafricard.com, which is the website you use in managing your account. Ask the UBA staff, but I think you can change the WEB PIN at the ATM.The website requires a USERNAME and PASSCODE. The username is the name written on the card, which is your name, without spaces, while the passcode is your WEB PIN.

To load the africard, there is an account number UBA asks you to pay into. All you have to do is go to the person in charge of Africard payment at any UBA Bank branch closest to you and get the details. Just tell any staff in the bank that you want to fund Africard, and you will be directed to the payment point, which should be different from the normal queue at the bank.

Africard is accepted on Facebook, Fiverr, Hostgator, Aliexpress, etc. Also note that whenever you load cash on the card, UBA will charge you N100 (100 Naira). You will also be charged N50 anytime you use the card on UBA ATM for withdrawal. Anytime you transact online with the card, you will also be charged 2.75% of the transaction amount.

HOW TO SEND JAR FILE FROM YOUR S40 PHONE TO OTHERS

S40 Phones can now send JAR Applications to other phones, just the same way we've been doing it using Xplore on S60 Phones. This is a Simple Tutorial on HOW TO SEND JAR FILE FROM YOUR S40 PHONE TO OTHERS. As an S40 User You cannot Share Application among yourselves except you are the Smart type. Once any applicationin jar extension is installed on the phone it becomes copyrighted content. But in order to bypass this difficulty I found a way. I am going to show you now.

In order to be able to send a jar file from your nokia s40 phone to other bluetooth-enabled phone; you will need two applications to perform this action.

APPLICATION NEEDED (Click To Download)
[1.] UCWeb Browser. Any of this version 6.3 | 6.5 | 6.6 | 6.7 | 7.0.
[2.] BT FILE Manager OR Blue FTP

STEPS
Get these two apps and install on your phone. You will then be able to send jar applications to other Bluetooth Enable Java Phones by following these steps:

[1.] The First Step is to have jar files downloaded with Ucweb browser on your phone. Do not make any change in the file you downloaded with Ucweb browser. Just leave it in the form it was downloaded to your phone.

[2.] Any time you want to share your App with a friend, just open your BT FILE Manager or Bluetooth Ftp and tell your friend to switch On his own bluetooth. With BT File Manager locate the file you want to share on your phone. Mark the file and copy it.

[3.] Then click back option to search for your friend phone. After you have make a connection with him. Locate his folders, and paste the marked file you want to share with him in his application or games folder, NOTE: You can Paste it in any Folder you like.

[4.] Now rename the file you have transfered to that phone from _ jar to .jar
( from underscore jar to dot jar). That file will then change to the application you expected. At first it reads 'invalid file' or unsupported format file. You do not need to panic when you see this happen, just rename the app to dot jar.

[5.] Switch off your phone for some seconds or 1 minute and switch On again. If you click to open the app and your phone ask youto delete the invalid app. After that your phone will on longer complain about the app again. You can now begin to use the application. This trick has been tested and confirmed. Enjoy your trick.

I just stumbled on an article on Gimodo about "How Yahoo KILLED Flickr and Lost the Internet" and I recommend it greatly. This eye-opening article tells more than the story it started. It explains how the transactions are made in an acquisition. For instance, I never knew that he full acquisition sum is not paid. a major part of the sale money is tied to some terms drafted by the big company trying to acquire the smaller one. Above all, this especially caught my attention and I quote from that post:

As a result of being resource-starved, Flickr quit planting the anchors it needed to climb ever higher. It missed the boat on local, on real time, on mobile, and even ultimately on social—the field it pioneered. And so, it never became the Flickr of video; YouTube snagged that ring. Nigerian Consitution on Phone is a very good initiative. The Nigerian constitution for all project has made it easy for Nigerians to be aware of their rights, as well be better law-abiding. They achieved this by creating the Nigerian Constitution app. This initiative should help tackle the knowledge gap prevalent amongst citizens.

It's a laudable initiative because most Nigerians wield at least a Java-Enabled Handset. By making the constitution easily accessible to most Nigerians via their mobile devices (including feature phones), ignorance will soon become a thing of the past as most people should now be able to tell where their right starts and stops. How To Unlock Your HTC MDA Cingular 8125 T Mobile Phone

Unlocking T.Mobile Cingular 8125 led me to the island of research. A Facebook friend asked me to help him out. If you've got an T-Mobile MDA or a Cingular 8125, or any other flavor of phone running on the HTC Wizard platform, you can now unlock (and alternatively relock) the simlock on your phone so that you can switch GSM carriers at will by simply swapping sim chips/cards, here's a guide to unlocking your phone so you don't have to buy a new one. This same technique has been tested on various devices and certified to work.

This article is based on the brilliant work of some developers in the XDA developers community.

Warning: Remember that unlocking your device voids its warranty, or worse, it may make your phone inoperable. You do this at your own risk!

You may leave your SIM inside the device performing the following unlocking instruction.

Download and Unzip lokiwiz2b.zip (click to download) to your computer.
Sync Your Device With Your PC using Microsoft ActiveSync.
Copy EnableRapi.cab from the lokiwiz2b Folder to your Wizard (using ActiveSync, ensure a connection is working and then just dragged the .cab file from the lokiwiz folder on the PC to the "files" folder shown on the sync window)
Run the EnableRapi.cab in your phone, and wait for it to finish (you'll be prompted to confirm its installation) At the end you should get the message: "EnableRapi.cab was successfully installed on your device."
Confirm that your phone is still connected via ActiveSync with your PC.
Run lokiwiz.bat on your computer by clicking on it and follow the instructions on your screen (this will execute on DOS command prompt)
Type U and hit the Enter key. You should see the following message: Unlocking mobile... DO NOT DISCONNECT UNTIL THE PHONE REBOOTS!

Internet Banking Security and How To

Internet banking is simple: "Banking Online All By Yourself". This includes carrying out two-way transactions (Sending/Receiving) from your account through the use of the internet, and your Bank's website.

Internet Banking is however as safe as you want it to be. There are some precautionary measures and all you need do is just heed all necesary security cautions as relates to your ATM and account details and ensure you have personal internet access on ur phone or PC. Well, nothing is safe anywhere in the world, and as an IT Professional, my advice to you is: Safeguard Yourself with the Necessary Information.

That's what I have come to share with you: Useful Information On Internet Banking Security. Here they come:

Make sure you have good antivirus software on your PC. And, always update your antivirus software.
Asides your Primary Bank Account, Create one auxiliary account. Grant your ATM access to ONLY the Primary Bank Account. Then, keep most of your money in the Auxiliary Account.
If possible, use very long complex Username and Password.
Don't respond to email from the bank or any such emails that claim to emanate from your bank.
Know your bank's secured web address (starts with HTTPS:// and always use same whenever you want to access the website. For instance, when accessing GTB, I will use https://www.gtbank.com
Type your Bank's Secure Website link in the Address Bar every time you are accessing. Don't search on Google as many would do.
Don't access your Account from public internet services like Cafe, or Office. Always do this from home PC. They might have keystroke log softwares installed on their computer.

Most Nigerian Banks have internet banking facilities, and all it takes to start using one is by walking to your Bank's branch to fill a form. With Nigerian banks bringing Token into there banking system, internet banking is becoming a lot safer than ever before.

Remember, don't share your ATM password with anybody, even your Bank Staff, or even the manager.

I use GTB, and as far as I can tell, their internet banking is secure, and by using it, you don't have to frequent the banking hall just to make minor transactions. You simply do the transactions online.

How to Update Blackberry Device to OS 6

Update your Blackberry Smartphone Software by following this tutorial.

A friend asked me this question on Facebook over the weekend, "how I can update my Curve 3 OS? To OS 6?" So I thought, why not write about it. I went searching and here is what I discovered.

Requirements

Your Blackberry Device
Your Personal Computer
Blackberry Device Manager
Active Blackberry Internet Subscription

Steps To Download The OS Update
Follow these simple instructions:

From your PC, Click here: http://us.blackberry.com/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp
Click your Blackberry Service Provider. For instance, if you are in Nigeria, click either Airtel Nigeria or Etisalat Nigeria or Globacom Nigeria or MTN Nigeria. Then Click Next.
Click the Combo Box on the Next Page to Select Your Device Name. Then Click Next.
Download the OS for your BB Unit by clicking the Download Link for the appropriate Version.
You will be be presented a form. Fill and hit the Submit button.
You will be presented a warranty, read, agree and click Next button.
Click the download button. Then wait for the Software Update to fully download to your PC hard drive.
On your BB Device, go to Options > Device > About. What is the OS release stated on the third line down?

Steps To Install The Software Update On Your BB Device

After the download of the more than 100MB update file, you need to install it on your BB Device. Here is how to do that:
Connect Your

Extract or install the downloaded OS file from the Previous Step on your PC.
They will automatically install into the correct location. This location will be C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research in Motion\Shared\Loader Files. Under this directory you will see directories with the model number of your device (if you installed the correct files) followed by the OS version number. Under these directories will be a host of .alx and .cod files. Do not modify or delete these files. They are needed to install the new OS.
Using the USB Cord, connect your Blackberry Device to your PC. I assume the BlackBerry Device Manager is installed on your PC.
When you plug your device in, a popup will appear and ask if you want to upgrade your device.
Choose Upgrade and follow the steps given by the Application Loader.
If you have any 3rd party applications you would like to keep, locate and select them at this time to avoid having to reload them after the new OS is installed.
The apploader will also ask if you want to erase all data and reload or backup and restore the data on your device. Choose your preference and Continue.
Typically a complete OS reload with backup and restore can take anywhere from 5-15 minutes depending on the amount of data on your device to restore.
The apploader will inform you when the process is complete. After this, the device will automatically reset itself (sometime this will take longer than a normal reboot) and once completed and on, your device will be upgraded and ready to go.

Blackberry phones seem to take on some names that I don't know where it came from. These names could sometimes be confusing because the original makers of Blackberry hardly call the devices by those names. Take for instance, Bold 5 is the common name for Blackberry Bold 9900.

While I don't know how come about these common names, I'm aware that they were coined to make it easier for consumers to call/identify these devices, rather than using the long Model Names. What I do know is that these common names make life a whole lot easier when it comes to naming Blackberry devices.

How To Reduce Your Internet Data Usage

This is to help you reduce data usage on your PC. When browsing on my PC with my modem, I hardly spent enough time when the Data will be completely used up. I later got to find out the reason: I'm not the only one browsing, even some softwares are busy browsing! LOL!!!

Browsing the internet with a modem usually comes with limited data cap size that costs so much, and needs to be managed effectively if you want to enjoy the internet connection for so long. Here is what you need to do to reduce your data usage and ensure it lasts for you.

Turn Off Windows Update: Windows Update will always try to connect to Microsoft website and download recommended updates. I turned this off because it usually uses up a large chunk of my 1 GB of Data subscription. To Learn how to do this, click this link: Turn Off Windows Update For Vista/Windows 7
Turn Off Antivirus Update: I have Avast antivirus on my PC. This antivirus, just like Windows, will always want to collect some updates from avast.com, thereby using up a portion of my data subscription. I turned this one OFF as well.
Turn Off Other Software Updates: You may also want to check other softwares on your PC for the likelihood of auto update feature being turned ON. Then turn them OFF.

When I accomplished especially the first two of these tips above, my data usage normalised and lasted much more than it did previously. Try this out and tell me if it helped you as well.

Irrespective of source or packaging, without adequate clean water one suffers dehydration and eventual death. Water provides the medium in which all biochemical reactions take place. Well-packaged water in these plastic bottles or food-grade polyethylene sachets has so far become a ready alternative for the growing population of over 150 million people. Pure packaged water attracts patronage from hotels, schools, market places, hospitals, stadiums etc. No doubt water has been found to be the fastest selling commodity in Nigeria today.

Considering the increasing need for good quality drinking water packaged under very stringent hygienic condition as well as the the costly effect of water borne diseases like craw-craw, worm infections, water blindness, dysentery, diarrhea, typhoid fever, cholera to mention but few, it becomes paramount to go for clean (pure) water packaging business to deliver Nigerians this high-demand product called Pure Water in local parlance.

The plant can produce 30 liters of well-purified water per minute. This implies that it can purify about 14,400 liters of water per shift of 8 hours.

Background to water packaging business
The Earth has 1,386,000,000 km3 of water total but only 2.5 percent of that is fresh water (i.e. 35,029,000 km3 or 9,254,661,800 gallons of fresh water).

Why is fluid important?
Water is essential for the growth and maintenance of our bodies and is an important component in the diet. The British Dietetic Association guidelines state that an average adult should consume 2.5 litres of water of which 1.8 litres (or 5 x 330 ml cans; 7 x 250 ml glasses) must be in fluid form, the remainder being obtained from foods. For children to maintain their correct water level of 60-70% body weight, they need to consume up to 2 litres of fluid every day. This intake needs to be increased during periods of hot weather or during and after periods of physical activity in order to avoid dehydration.

What are the effects of dehydration?
Dehydration is caused by consuming too little fluid and can cause symptoms such as headaches, tiredness and loss of concentration. Adults eliminate around 2.5 litres of water per day, through urine, perspiration and respiration. In children, this varies greatly according to the outside temperature, age and activity level of the child, as well as other factors. Bottled/sachet water cannot contain sweeteners or chemical additives (other than flavours, extracts or essences) and must be calorie-free and sugar-free. Flavours, extracts and essences, derived from spice or fruit, can be added to bottled water, but these additions must comprise less than one percent by weight of the final product. Beverages containing more than the one-percent-by-weight flavour limit are classified as soft drinks, not packaged water. In addition, packaged water may be sodium-free or contain “very low” amounts of sodium. Some packaged waters contain natural or added carbonation.

The packaged water business requires a high level of water purification so consumers’ health wouldn’t be compromised for monetary considerations. I’ll advise those already in this business and those venturing into it to utilise the latest water purification system called Reverse Osmosis Purification System. Technical and Other Requirements
Organisations that are into packaged water are to seek registration with The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), which is the regulatory agency in the country that monitors and controls the food and drugs sector. NAFDAC insists that water and water base industries must not be close to a cemetery, abattoir, petrol station, refuse dump, sewage system, saw mill, etc. Owners of this business need to get clearance from NAFDAC before commencing production. The technical and business architecture of the business will determine the overall success of the business. For instance, in this business, the owner needs bottling/sacheting water machines, a factory environment for production, cloak room, packaging material room, finished product room, a water treatment plant (using preferably Reverse Osmosis Purification System), borehole or a water source, and so on.

Income Potentials
Let’s take for instance Lagos state with an unofficial population of about 18 million people (from the Lagos state website). If 85% of this number patronise packaged water products, what we have will be 15.5 million potential customers. If 75% of this market take sachet water, then the number comes to approximately 12 million, while 3.5 million represent those who take bottled water. If your business captures 1% of the sachet water market, you will be serving 120,000 customers. If every day, each one takes 3 sachets of water on the average, we are talking about 360,000 sachets. Since a bag of sachet water contains 20, this means you’ll be selling 18,000 sachet water bags daily. If the cost of producing a bag is N40 and you’re giving it out at N55, you’ll be making N15 per bag as profit and N270,000 daily. For a 24-working day period in a month, you will be talking about N6.48million as profit monthly and N58.32 million for a 9-month business year (factoring in the rainy season). If you achieve 50% of your income potential in the first year, you’ll be talking about N29 million profit. I have not worked out the income and returns on bottled water.

Here are some possible considerations:

Road-Side Property: Land, either leased or if available, rented on a (very) busy road. Not usually less than 2 plots of land, according to IPMAN regulations in some states. If you want 6 nozzles, you definitely need 2 plots or more. Also note that there are 4, 3, 2, nozzle types depending on how busy you assess the location of your station. Size/Capacity of the Filling Station Storage: The underground tanks is estimated at 1.5 million Naira each for a 45,000 litre tank - and that is for a basic tank, not Double Shell like is used in Total. The underground tank can cost you 4.5 to 5.5 million naira for 4 (1 Kerosine, 1 Diesel and 2 for Fuel). Depending the quality/size you want and the workmen involved though.
Dispensing pumps: Dispensing pumps cost from 0.5 - 2 million Naira, depending on the brand - Marathon to Wayne.
Transportation Tanker: You might need around 10 to 12m long, 11,000 litres tanker, and you need at least 2. The small one cost around 5 to 6.5 million Naira.
Construction Cost: 6 nozzles is the highest you can go. For a 6 Nozzle Station (4 Petrol, 1 Kerosene, 1 Diesel): N30,000,000.
Approved Drawing for Filling Station: N1,150,000.
Union Fees: Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria IPMAN Approval and Site Registration: N1,200,000, that is about One Million, Two Hundred Thousand Naira Only.
Civil Engineering Cost: N4,000,000 for the project.

Legal Consideration: When seeking for your approval, don't waste your time with a lawyer, find an IPMAN insider, or your approval wont come out until 2050.

The above is totally estimated at 70 million Naira. Also you need to consider other associated costs like that of supply, marketing. Kindly note these and do your research.

You need a vault for the tanks and the vault depends on the terrain: waterlogged, semi waterlogged, dry.

Canopy cost from 5 million Naira depending on the land area.

Piping can either be done with galvanised iron, or flexible plastic piping which is the standard.
Fire extinguishers. Floodlights, you can buy the cheap failure prone Olympia at 11k /unit, or original floodlights which cost from 30-60k.You need plenty of electrical cables. Canopy lights - genuine canopy lights are at least 65/unit

If you intend to host an eatery in your station, then you need a transformer.

Most importantly, you need to engage a professional, or you may wind up doing things three times. And considering the huge cost involved, it would be a wise decision on your part.

FRANCHISE WITH MAJOR MARKETER
Alternatively, you can own a filling station by renting or leasing from a major marketer. This way, you don't have to spend as much as mentioned above. Also, you don't have to worry about loading products from the depot. Major marketers include Oando, AP, MRS, etc. All in all 20 million Naira should do it with the bulk of the cost being rent which could be for as much as 50 yrs or short lease of 2years. You may meet someone running a station for any major marketer. If everything goes as planned, you will get up to 4 filling stations this way with the same amount of money it takes you to build one from scratch. Business is not an issue of owning, but controlling especially when the project is capital intensive.
